Apreciable Guru Maharaji.

Dear Guru Maharaji. Please accept my humble obeisances. I hope this letter gets you in good health. The present report is to inform you, that a few days ago we had a meeting between some spiritual brothers (Mother Lalita Gopi, Mother Gopi Radha, Prabhu Sacinandana, Mother Saranagati, Prabhu Aristasena). The purpose was to initiate a dialogue through which we could express our concerns regarding the way in which has been conducted the communication and organization of your visits. What was considered was the following aspects and conforming a Committee, which, if you approve, take charge of these matters and a direct communication to you:

We suggest forming a committee of Prabhu Jagat Bandhu, Madre Lalita Gopi, Madre Gopi Radha, Prabhu Sacinandana, Madre Saranagati, Prabhu Aristasena for organizing and representing México´s Yatra, of spiritual brothers and aspirants. Also the communication charge that allows a contact to you.

Thank you so much for this letter. We ask people to use the Priority Code given in each Kapi Dhvaja because that means that they should be looking at and reading the Kapi Dhvaja. If the don't do that then we have to repeat and inform them of so many basic things that are mentioned in the Kapi Dhvaja that we cannot possible have efficient communication.

We try to answer other letters but especially when we are traveling it is very difficult. We have six hours of regular preaching programs daily and converse with dozens of devotees.

Next, from Bhakit Svarupa Damodara Swami, our Sannyasa guru, we learned that in this kind of format we can glorify devotees by name but best to villify them only with reference to general principles.

Criticizing other devotees is very delicate and we should do it in terms of Upadesamrta 5.

In terms of communicating with us, we are always trying to start with the Kapi Dhvaja and personal communication while traveling. Then there is this Blog. Anyone can write in the proper way and then we all can make decisions about initiations, travel plans, public preaching programs and engaging junior devotees in good programs.

Just because we give Diksa to someone does not mean that we have to be their principal Siksa guru or Sankirtan leader. It can be natural. Of course Srila Prabhupada is the principal Guru in both of these cases, no? Our Sankirtan party is the Anjana Suta Academy and we can coordinate cooperation though that institution rather than by an institution of devotees who have taken Diksa from us. O.K? Of course, Vyasa puja is an annual event related to this Diksa process and there are others that are a part of our Sankirtan. Diksa and Sankirtan are connected. You have to investigate how to coordinate the two.

As far as a committee goes, let us discuss it when we are in Mexico. You and me, others.

If we communicate here then we can form committees, working teams etc. very naturally. O.K?

Waiting for your next letter (with current Priority Code 😁).

Divine Politics and Administration in Peru

4 years, 5 months ago by hps in Special Category A

AGTSP paoho

Caturatma Das wrote to the GBC Executive Committee et al and His Holiness Jayapataka Swami answered him with copy to us. Here is our answer to Maharaja et al ---

Hare Krsna!     AgtSP!!!

Esteemed Jayapataka Maharaja et al,

It is very humbling for us to be remembered by your esteemed self. First, we have to demur that we have never been "requested to discuss with the Peruvian leaders and come to a solution". As a visiting Sannyasi we have been consulted and informed on these political and administrative issues for about 20-years, but only a few months ago we were asked with Mathuresa Das and Bhakti sundara Swami to form a committee to investigate the criticisms of Ganga-mayi Devi Dasi`s administrative dealings with money and power in Peru.

We did that and sent the report that I think you saw.

My conclusion was that without opportunity to talk with you I could not go any deeper into the investigation and you quickly solved that by contacting us. Thank you.

In conclusion of that phone call I understood that whatever Ganga Mataji and devotees working with her had done in terms of Miraflores rental and renting a new building was within general bounds understood and approved by you. Details you did not know.

Second that it is of highest priority to install the three Property Trustees so that the properties cannot be sold or encumbered without their approval. For that I felt I had to talk with a lawyer directly.

We did that. With Caturatma and Karuna Krsna Das we visited one very intelligent, friendly, competent, successful, common sense guy. From that discussion I understood that it is a detail of Peruviana law that the outgoing President is supposed to sign in the incoming officers, but if he does not act there are other ways to get it done, and that even though the concept of Property Trustees is not so commonly used in Peru it can be accomplished according to one or two details of what we are trying to accomplish.

Besides that we had very good communication with H. G. Caitanya candra Das, M. Ganga DD and Yamunesvara Das. Of course there has been ongoing communication with Mathuresa Das, Karuna, Caturatma and other leaders. I get along very well with Caturatma because we both have the tendency of being lawyers, which at times I feel must be frustrating to your esteemed self and H. H. Hrdayananda Gos.

In conclusion, considering the emotional, political, legal, practical situation our suggestion to Mataji and the incoming Legal Officers is that everyone signs an agreement that you will be timely and clearly informed of any actions taken by the new Officers that can lead to legal action against Mataji and that they agree to add the Trustees as soon as possible by changing the statutes of the association in a format agreed upon by the current lawyer and the new fellow we met, then she will complete the formalities of signing in the new officers.

We have asked Mathures Das to see if Mataji can accept this and Caturatma to see if Caitanya candra can accept this.

Besides this as far as I have been informed the authority for the President to sell any property on their sole authority WAS removed by a change in the Statutes at the meeting in August.

There are other details, but we will not mention them now.

In general we are warmed by your sincere love for everyone involved. We see that everyone has faults, maybe all about on the same level, but if we go ahead with the Sankirtan we can make reasonable adjustments to the political situation.

Hanumatpresaka Swami

We are in Cordoba, Argentina, 4.45PM after and exciting monsoon, and with incredible Sankirtan with the Jungian community on a global basis!

Meditando en Su pregunta

4 years, 5 months ago by Asta Sakhi Devi Dasi in Special Category A

Querido Gurumaharaja

Asta Sakhi dd.

HpS - ASA --- TLGASP!!!! pfanrh....

service to the guru

4 years, 6 months ago by jagatbd in Special Category A

Hare Krishna,

Dear Guru Maharaja, PAMHO, AGTSP!

From my personal point of view, the senior disciples should be able to serve better the guru, because that devotee has understood the mood of the guru. If he/she is sincere he or she will be able to serve and get others to serve the guru enthusiastically, not harrassing other aspirants to the service.

We ought to learn etiquete to be closer to the guru and to grasp what he wants and what he needs.

We get proud if we are senior disciples, but it should be the opposite, we should be more humble, and inspire other aspirants to create a warm and fired up spiritual environment to serve guru.

How can we understand? We are so tiny to understand what guru is? Who deserves to be closer to the guru? The disciple with more knowledge or the one with more humbleness?

Your very many fallen servant,

Jagat Bandhu Jagannatha Swami dasa.

HpS - AgtSP!!! Paoho. This is such a common question. So common. How to serve Krsna, Guru, anyone, in the company of others.

First, as you say there is the general etiquette. In the story of the Gopis attracted by the flute of Krsna, we see that they were acting like good citizens of Nanda Maharaja's village. They killed cows, sold yogurt and ghee, and paid their taxes.

So, we keep this Blog. We explain in the Kapi Dhvaja and the DTC posts what is our situation and as much as we are trying to be a guru in ISKCON anyone can write here, and then we take some austerity to travel and anyone can join the classes and ask questions.

Then in the general discussions we can see how we need to make detailed discussions.

O.K. Some times disciples say that we, gurus, Brahmanas, leaders, are favoring a certain person, but often it is just that that person takes the effort to communicate. We answer letters from people who write, in the right way.

In our personal limited way, we have some service we are trying to offer to our Guru, the Guru of everyone in ISKCON, Srila Prabhupada. I think we are giving enough news so people can begin to understand and then write, talk with others involved to guide and help them.

These are some basic thoughts.

We just want to find our place in the Sankirtan team, do our formal service, make friends with other devotees, and ultimately through so many channels we all have to have personal relationship with Srila Prabhupada.
