Hare Krsna Guru Maharaj (Prayer for guidance)

Hare Krsna Guru Maharaj

Dandavat Pranaam unto your lotus feet.

ASA - Lettuce feet.

All glories to Srila Prabhupada and Sri Gouranga Mahaprabhu.

Dear Guru Maharaj,

Myself, son of your disciple Krsna Swarup Das, from Assam, North East India.

HpS - Jaya!!!  So, nice to hear from you and everyone there!

I offer a prayer unto your lotus feet to kindly me give some advice regarding misunderstandings among devotees.  Supposedly, if there were two groups of devotees who have some misunderstanding among themselves; (as Prabhupada used to say whenever there are 2 people there will be misunderstandings) as we are not pure souls we often tend to criticise one another, find out faults and dont try to forgive and forget any past issues easily. Due to harbouring such feelings internally, lets say both the parties tend to avoid each other while externally behaving in a opposite way. Every party thinks "I am right" and also there is no intermediary or neutral person whom both parties see as trustworthy or impartial. What could be the best possible way to bring harmony among such devotees and how one should respond if one is in such a situation (say one of the parties). Please be merciful to enlighten me in this regard.

Dandavat Pranaam unto your lotus feet.

Your ignorant servant

Bishal

HpS - Well,   the first principle is that we cannot give detailed advice unless we know the situation in detail, and that would be impossible for us 12,000 miles away and connected only by internet. So, first principle is from Chanakya Pandita: Victory comes from good advice and good advice comes from many counselors.  Talk to a lot of good people about the situation. We can give general view from a long distance. That is important element, so broad perspective. Then talk to people who are involve in the details.

In one Ramayana movie Hanuman was sent by Rama to try to mitigate the feud between Vali and Sugriva. He reported that Vali was going to give up his anger only when he was dead.

So, sometimes people have personal motives for which they don't want to forgive and there is nothing we, and even God to some degree, can do about it.

Read Nectar of Instruction Texts 4 and 5.

http://www.vedabase.com/en/noi/4

They give SUPER explanation of how to relate to these situation. They arise all the time and it is a big situation that we can only start to discuss. The complete answer is in Srimad Bhagavatam. Of course, that is 18,000 verses.

Basically, try to distinguish reality from illusion for the welfare of all. Try to look for the best solutions for EVERYONE's benefit and then you will feel happy.

An ASA-NIOS Writing Project

Gloria in excelsis Deo

Esteemed Prof. Juan Dejo, Swami Yadunandana
By this letter let us introduce you too each other and introduce the idea for an excellent project.

Prof. Dejo, Yadu Swami has been a very good friend of ours, and the whole world, for many years. He is Spanish and became involved with ISKCON and this tradition of Bengali, Caitanya, Vaisnavism many years ago. He has been very actively involved with education in ISKCON and a celibate monk for about 40-years.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yadunandana_Swami

He recently published an excellent academic study on monastic tradition in our Bengali heritage and now it has been suggested by some very senior academics that a super excellent book would be a study on the contrasts and comparisons between Bengali (Caitanya) Vaisnava and Jesuit Monastic Traditions.

The very strong consensus has been that this would be enthusiastically received by academics but maybe even more so by many common people.

To our understanding the natural human situation is for a substantial number of men not to marry. This has been evidenced in European Christian heritage and of course in Asia.

Happy life, and very useful life.

I could write about this a great deal but here would just like to offer this suggestion and see what you all think about this.

Yadu Swami, We had the honor of meeting Prof. Juan Dejo S.J., Director de la Escuela de Posgrado de la Universidad Antonio Ruiz de Montoya, through the 2016 conference on Psychology and the Sacred that we co-sposored in Peru. I understand that he is very respected educator and administrator in the Peruvian community.

How many young men would decide to pass their lives as Monastics after reading such a book of history and modern reality!

Srimad Bhagavatam 1.3.6 - 1.3.8

Hare Krishna Maharaj,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Following is the summary of 1.3.6-1.3.8 as discussed on Sunday.

V6:

This example suggests that one must first acquire the qualifications of a brahmaṇa, not simply by birth but also by quality, and then one can undergo the process of Brahman realization.

V7:

The incarnation of the boar was to take the earth out of Pluto’s region of filthy matter. Picking up something from a filthy place is done by a boar, and the all-powerful Personality of Godhead displayed this wonder to the asuras, who had hidden the earth in such a filthy place.

V8:

The great Ṛṣi Narada, who is an empowered incarnation of the Personality of Godhead, propagates devotional service all over the universe.

Your servant,

Sundari Radhika dd.

HpS - ASA --- Thank you.   Are there daily classes on these verses still???   Guess they stopped while ARD was traveling?   Tonight is the BhVai workshop.   He was also making the point that book knowledge is not sufficient to be a Brahman. That would be a Pandita as the way we heard. SB 3.29.31-32 are very nice in describing these relations.

This is our means of conquest. Please lead us!

URGENT

Hare Krsna Rama.

Su discípula Rohini dd.

HpS - TlgaSP!    pfanrh.   Hace mucho tiempo no oir de Vd!     Yes, I am no longer the Examiner for the Bh. Sastri diploma en Peru. I sent a letter to the Board of Examiners, Bhakta Rupa Das with a copy to everyone.

As I understand, Maturesa Das has agreed to be the Official in Peru or Bolivia, but this has not been submitted to the Board of Examiners.  Bhakta-rupa Das wrote to me that they only had you listed as an official in Peru and the Program Administrator.

So, as far as I know, there is no one in Peru now authorized to submit requests for Diplomas from the Baord of Examiners, but the local authorities can fix someone who will be integrated with their perspectives. In any case we love to hear of peoples realizations from the Sastras here in this Blog.

Thank you.

Australia - India -Hawaii -- September

Dear maharaja
PAMHO AGTSP

In Mayapur (Feb) you asked me how was the youth program here at New Govadhan. I had no reply because I couldn’t recall one, which was silly because in 2011 (Vrindavan) I had asked you for advice on running a youth program. I was driving on to New Govardhan farm a few weeks ago and I saw the place what once was Hanuman House and I remembered. We did have a youth program! I just forgot about it. It was called "Hanuman House". A team of my generation would get together once ever couple of months and take the local youth camping on the Krishna farm, do archery, swimming and cooking the Sunday feast. We did this 2012-2014 and even built a club house. After leaving Murwillumbah for 2.5 years I forgot about it. It went well but was hard for us to find the time to maintain with our busy grihasta lives. Also the club house blew down in a storm and was recycled.

HpS - Probably was extremely effective!

Australia Visit September 2017:
Sorry if I’ve missed any details on the blog.

Please, when you are ready, tell me the day and city you want to arrive along with your personal details to this email [email protected]. We will arrange your ticket. I will make arrangements as you wish for Brisbane/Gold Coast/Murwillumbah, Sydney and Melbourne.

HpS - Wow!    This Calendar stuff is intense: Half the time planning the travel, other half traveling and then tryin to preach.  O.K.   Here is the progress.   We finaly looked at it and we get back from Boise, Sacramento, San Jose, Seattle, Houston, Mexico, Lima, Santiago, Lima, Chosica, Cusco, La Paz, Lima, Arequipa, Houston .....  on the 26th July.  Gonna be a little exhausted, Ei, Mate!!!   So, it seems sane that we rest our Ass for two months before we start off again.  That would mean heading for Boise, Hawaii, India .. about the 26th Sept.  O.K. with Hawaii,    BUT     .heavy pressure to go to the Interim GBC Meeting on the 9-17th of October (We've been researching tickets carefully also).   So, that would mean that it would be best to go to India first then Australia then...

What do you think of that!???    I guess something like:

27 Sept - 18 Oct -- India (3 weeks)
18 Oct - 1 Nov -- Australia (2 weeks)
1 Nov - 8th Nov -- Hawaii (1 week)

Yesterday I listened to your lecture on SB 5.18.12 (2012-05-05 Radhadesh) with pastime of HG Jayananda.

Ratha Yatra in Brisbane CBD, May 6th. I’ve been called to guard His chariot. Jai Jaganatha!!!
Your servant
Dhruva

HpS - Wow!  Right at the beginning of the Vancover Rathyatra I saw the cart run right over the foot of a 75 year old India lady. She fell unconscious and went to the hospital!   Good luck!!

What do you think of this new calendar proposal?   It would be good for us also in a few other ways.

LAD Ekadasi Report (little urgent)

Hare Krishna, dear Gurumaharaj, Pamho, AGTSP!
This is my regular ekadasi report. I'm trying to discipline myself a bit more. Writing to you every two weeks compels me to readjust things constantly.

HpS - ASA -- Publishing the Kapi Dhvaja every two weeks forces us to live a more regular life!!

Personally I do not have much to say. I regularly follow everything: 16 rounds, four principles and mangalartik. Some days I'm still a bit loose (I'm mandah, lazy). Chocolate ice cream and Netflix. But I do not stop doing my duties.

I have several students, classes practically every day, I continue to help in the temple, etc. I have even actively participated in a couple of FFL.

My basic concern is to implement education in the region more systematically. Today we have a meeting in Wilson several of the former NIMSAR to continue working on the subject of Bhakti sastri and Bhakti Vaibhava and the possible revival of NIMSAR. Is it possible?

I hope that when you come we will have things more clears and can help us to up-lift these programs.
I have a very good relationship with Mathuresh Prabhu and I hope to collaborate with him as much as I can on the subject of education along with other devotees.

The experience of Cuzco was very good and I will return in August to continue my service there. If Arequipa invites me, I can also help with the educational issues.

I also saw M. Goura Gadhadara and perceived that his [her] service was too strong [heavy]. In fact, a few days ago he had pneumonia. She had suffered from her lungs since she was very young. It [she] is going to take some time off. She will go to the Sacred Valley for a few days to recover. This tells me once again that the authorities of ISKCON have to watch over the welfare of the devotees. Their duty is to protect and give service, but often they only give service until the devotee collapses and goes home. Education for the Brahmanas, but also for all Ksatriyas and all.

Well, I hope to see you soon to receive your holy association and try to progress a little more in my spiritual life and my service.

We have to talk soon about your SA tour. I have a couple of suggestions and topics to develop here. Organize some initiations, education, etc.
Ys, lad

ASA - Hare Krsna. LaD.  How is the Blue Baboon!!   Of course, we talked for one hour this morning on Skype about all this.   As we just wrote in the letter to Yugala-kishora Dasi if we are going to re-activate Nimsar in Peru then we would have to have a clear proposal with selection of President et al, and then aproval of the National Council or other local authorities.  This morning you mentioned developing the ISKCON educational ministry in Peru as another option.

We have to develop very careful program of Netflix or next lifetime we will be worms in vegetarian stool in India or wife of Indra or something, no!

Start writing stories! Lad-Flixs!

We discussed this morning here is the current proposed Calendar:

Of course, co, co co-ordinate with Abhirama Das who is doing so much program development and everyone else.

When we arrive in Lima, yes, it seems best if we can stay in Wilson, but other times in Callao, near airport.  SANKIRTAN!

Also as we discussed, everyone can get oriented to the June 15th-18th, Fourth Annual Symposium on Education with ISKCON, in Seattle. We will broadcast it on Start Meeting and you all can join.  Maybe one Session can be Education with ISKCON in the Western Hemisphere and you can even get a similtaneous translator for then.

O.K.  Thank you for your association.  Hope your internal life is waking up and you are only dealing with this reflection for purification and Sankirtan!!!!!         See you next Monday at 7.57AM.
