gracias a la misericordia de mis hermanas espirituales en Sud America tengo la suerte de saber donde está, que está haciendo y cómo está......recibi muchas hermosas fotos de su Sri VyasaPuja y tambien de su estadia en Argentina, gracias a la Tecnologia pareciera que junto a mis hermanas Espirituales estoy junto a Ud. ...durante la Maratón de Srila Prabhupada fue poca mi participación y grande el tiempo en el tratamiento de la salud, pero, por su infinita compasión pude distribuir 765 libros y 2 Colecciones del libro de Krishna, en los recorridos de las diferentes ciudades siempre llevo en mi corazón sus palabras: "mientras estes haciendo Servicio yo estoy contigo".....Salir a Sankirtan es Adorarlo a sus divinos pies de Loto, Recitando siempre el Pranati Mantra de Srila Prabhupada: "Nuestra respetuosas reverencias a ti, oh Maestro Espiritual sirviente de Srila Sarasvati Thakur que bondadosamente está predicando el mensaje del Señor Caintanya y liberando a los paises occidentales los cuales estan llenos de Impersonalismo y Nihilismo"...me lleno de emoción y entusiasmo, por las calles sonriendo a la gente puedo sentir su compañia querido Gurudev y soy feliz!! ..... a veces estoy dentro de un Omnibus dirijiendome a los pasajeros y presentando los libros pero, soy muy sentimental a veces no puedo terminar de hablar porque me ganan las lagrimas, .... soy muy torpe!!! .vuelvo a intentar tener mas control .....gracias a un tratamiento bastante caro me encuentro mejor de salud, ahora me encuentro en Veracruz haciendo Sankirtan como Ofrenda a Sri Nityananda ....llevo 550 Libros distribuidos, por su inmensa compasión Amado Gurudev esta inútil alma caida está ocupada en servicio, infinitas gracias por su ejemplo personal que es el refugio de todos los que lo Amamos!!!

We didn't mention your name. Krsna is giving you a challenge to find new ways to increase your book distribution. Srila Prabhupada was skin and bones but he was still playing on the big Mrdanga until the last moments of his life. More news!

Steps For A Disciple To Receive Initiation

I have met and spoke with you twice. I'm not sure if this is the right place for my inquiry but I cannot determine another.

My question is: "What are the steps you require for a disciple to be initiated by you and come under your shelter?"

After learning your response, I will wonder where I may answer any of your questions to me privately.

However, since I have been trying to develop a contact with Dr. Little for you, and since it was just coming together when I became aware you would not be able to visit, I am going to give you the information anyway just in case you change your mind or it is useful information for some other time. The reason I could not bring the pieces together sooner is because he was in India gathering information for a *paper he is writing during the Summer. Paper is titled: Early Vaishnava Iconography. He has invited you to attend any of his classes and shows interest in connecting with you. So here is the info. If you want his personal e-mail address, just let me know. I'll text it or include it in the envelop with the monthly donation as I don't want to put it in the blog. I promised him I would respect his privacy as he is quite well known. Arati, 4. extensive kirtan 5. personal sharing among devotees 6. light prasadam At the program held Sun. past, some members of the Folsom group attended and I am hoping to bring (by Krsna's mercy) more and more of those devotees into the home programs. At any rate, it is possible you could also speak at that group next time a visit works for your schedule. Dr. Little has asked me to invite him to the home program at our house in April. Dear Guru Maharaj,

Please accept my humble obeisances, all glories to Srila Prabhupada!

I hope this finds you in good health. I passed the disciple course last week, and I requested a recommendation letter from Svavasa prabhu but I still haven't heard back from him yet. He is in India right now, I think participating in the GBC meetings in Mayapur. Probably he is busy and hasn't had time to reply. I wanted to ask you if there's any possibility I could take initiation in the holy dhama? Unless plans change (considering recent events in Mayapur,) we are supposed to go to Mayapur from about 3/2-3/23, and then we go to Vrndavan from about 3/24-4/7.

I'm doing local sankirtan in LA, mostly griffith park observatory. I'm trying to go 7 days a week and also study for Bhakti shastri exam. We started a Bhakti yoga club at Pasadena City College. It starts on Tuesday. We're excited, the students are excited, it could be really great!

I had one philosophical question: I recall reading in Nectar of Devotion about how acaryas had different views about varnasrama duties. Is it correct that Rupa goswami did not consider them to be transcendental? Is Bhakti yoga strictly just 9 processes or can it take other forms as well? In Bhagavad Gita I remember Prabhupada saying somewhere that "Arjuna firing arrows is transcendental." Does karma yoga become transcendental if it's ordered by Krsna or guru? On some level isn't varnasrama duty in general prompted by the Supersoul? Is Karma yoga distinct from Bhakti in terms of the activity itself, or consciousness, or both? If you could clarify here that would be very helpful, thank you!
