We hope you all are progressing in Lord Chaitanya Sankirtana.

We deliberatlely did not write to you {HpS and ASA associates] as most our issues are related to dark well and perennial challenges related to it.  there was no relevant news of sankirtana. we are working on it. we are trying to chant 16 rounds daily, morning prayers, reading, 4 rounds and house holder duties in balance way (krsna is helping us a lot)

we are reporting this to  Professor Huber Robinson as there is no better person than him in matter of psychology.
Professor , we went pillbuster and clinical pscychologist  {CP} regarding our anger and controlling problem.

they have diagnosed us  Obsessive complusion disorder [OCD] and problem due to emotion injuries. (on the basis of Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory ® -2 (MMPI ® -2))

ASA - Wow!     When I took a test like that I would feel very proud: Look, I am crazy! I need special attention. (Of course, some of this stuff is actually true and helpful (but also sometimes devotees can surpass all this easily, no?))

they say our sub-conscious is craving for affection (inference from Online  Rorschach  Test http://theinkblot.com/ ). Harsh says his conscious mind says he does not need affection. CP says thats the struggle b/w sub conscious and conscious mind.

HpS - Jung, Prabhupada, both say that your sub-conscious mind is very accessible during Brahma muhurta and you can make it more conscious. Sounds like a good analysis, but I would confirm it by our Yoga of B-muhurta, Japa.

due  [OCD]  to we got finicky about things.

we are going to continue treatment optimize the problme of OCD and emotional injuries

we also met a nice devotee [vrindavan das [email protected] ) who works on temperament identification (on basis of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_temperaments)  since  september. he also identified our temperament (based on observation not any test) as majorily as Melancholy perfectionist (64%) , Powerful choleric (26%) and peaceful Phlegmatic(10%).

we applied this perfectionist and powerful temperament in our married life. and have crushed emotions of our wife who is having different temparament ratios.

he asked us to relax our standards, increase our indulgence in sense gratification ( resorts, food, sex etc) to satisfy/ heal our relationship with wife.

because his finding is that Harsh is not peaceful when there is unrest in home.

HpS - God!  Illicit sex!!???       That's only, always, going to increase the hell.   Of course, SB 1.11.31-32, type Grhasta "sex" is O.K. Nice.  Buy your wife candy or flowers, no?   Prabhupada says that embracing between husband and wife is natural. But illict sex only makes everyone feel dirty and cheated afterwords.   We don't have a sub-conscious desire to become meat, fish or eggs. We have a sub-conscious desire to become immortal energy angels!

HpS - My experience is that it always helps to chant Hare Krsna right in the middle of the strange problems. Then Krsna can give a little good intelligence and we can move up.
One VERY good psychological survey showed that Hare Krsna males are 100 times more likely to be Compulsive personalities that normal people. Do you fold your shirts and sort them into different categories?

We do.

But we want pharmacists, doctors others to be compulsive personalities. O.K. Is not a bad trait. Just have to purify it. Learn when to relax. We still have to struggle with this at 67 years old. Ha!  Ha!   Ha!    Expect rapid progress but be patient that if this is a deep root it may take even more than one life to extract it.   ....  but....   the effort is eternal!

In general, sounds great you psycho-therapy if you just keep a perspective of Srila Prabhupada's lessons. See you in a few days.

Please instruct us the minimum requirements of a beisnava and daily duties for all of us. We the initiated bhaktas a group is doing weekly programe of Satsanga-namasankirtana, Krsna Katha and day to day discussion of a particular topics. All our programe are started after Guru Bandana. Please aasirbad us from the  distance so as to enable us to continue regularly and more better performance and to increase our spiritual knowledge.

They are starting a Pre-school and Primary school. We helped with that. We gave four Bhakti-vaibhava classes (Canto One - Six Diploma) and several Temple and outside preaching programs. We have changed our ticket. Now we arrive in India on Monday, 4th May, Delhi.

Priorities are:

1. Chant Hare Krsna as much as you can. At least 16 enthusiastic rounds on beads.

2. Follow four principles strictly.

3. Brahma-muhurta, Mangala-arati, Kirtan, Srimad Bhagavatam

4. Evening Arati, Kirtan, Reading (with others).

5. Help Lord Caitanya in His Sankirtan movement by preaching, distribution of books, giving donations, cleaning temple, dressing deity, distribution of prasadam .....

Here we are! Alive!  

KAPI DHVAJA IS TRANSLATED AND POSTED!!!

We finished our 6th cicle at university and now VACATIONS!!! at least until new cicle opens so we have to wait. In the meantime we are going to travel.

However our true mission remains; 16R,4P,MA with enthusiasm, patience and intelligence. Be useful  in some way in your Sankirtan dear Gurudeva.

regarding your questions...

HpS - How is your family? What are they doing? How is the Yatra? Are you doing Pujari work? What do you learn of practical value in school? Any nice people at school? How are you kidneys...

Family is ok. My dad is 88 years old, so he is very weak now. Mom is taking care of him. they basically are at home... My mom got crazy by reading Teachings of Queen Kuntī, she felt so identified with some prayers.

Unfortunately now i have no direct service in temple but i hope back to do some service in pujari. 

As you told me before we can always learn from others, for example something i like is that at school i learn from a lot of strategies to teach. All my classmates are very nice... They dont call me as my civil name but as Patrak das, they are teachers from diferent schools and methodologies so i learn a lot. I have one friend who teaches in Waldorf schools, i love that kind of teaching.

Kidneys are very very well. But i still have to take a lot of pills. it doesnt matter if i can get up and chant my rounds and read Srimad Bhagavatam... Its so excited!

Thanks a lot for being such an inspiration for me.

HpS - ASA ---  AGTSP    paoho.  Thank you for your news!      It is all very inspiring for us.     Are you developing internally?   Then it will begin to show, shine, externally as it gets stronger. If Krsna wants you can be a great leader for many people, by example, preaching, writing, singing, teaching.

We received a message from a devotee in the ABC Temple, but it is a comment that we get often, so we thought we would answer here. If you have a confidential letter then 1) You can just talk about the general princples and not name specific people, 2) You can even open a different account and post it there. Pretty much if you can discuss it wih us privately you can at leaset discuss it in general terms here. Then we can give out opinion and sixteen more devotees will get the same question answered.

The problem is that the atmosphere in the Temple seems to have changed a lot. Devotees are doing things superficially. They criticize each other frequently, so the devotee then feels depressed about going to Festivals, regular Temple programs and visits sometimes privately and ocassionally with a few devotees, but doesn't discuss this problem with others so as not to contaminate their consciousness.

1) One reporter asked Prabhupada if there were problems in his Temples. Prabhupada answere, "This is the material world. There are problems everywhere."

Even when Krsna was personally present in Vrndavana there were demons causing mis-carriages for the girls.

So, we never expect the ISKCON Temples to be free from problems. Maharaja Pariksit was unfairly cursed by a Brahmana boy, but he took it as impetous to get free from his attachment. So the problems are good.

2) Sometimes the Temple is super enthusiastic, some times it is not. Sometimes our Madhyama adhikari guru falls down, some times our movment is divided into political factions, but in all cases we have only one choice, take shelter of Srila Prabhupada and go on.

3) Prabhupada told devotees that even if they felt they were the most advanced devotees in the Temple still they shold go to class. If they gave all the classes that was still O.K.

So, basic principle is we should go to the Temple and give our association to the devotees. Yes, we can look for more advanced devotees there and spend more time with them at the Temple or individually.
The very fact that there are some ISKCON rituals and ISKCON Festivals means that there is some association. At least they will benefit from our advanced position.

You may say, "Oh, no! I am worse than others!"

No, if we can see the problem and want to give positive energy to the situation then at least we are more advanced than those who can't see it or just want to exploit it.
4) Krsna sends the association. We are getting what we need right now.

Thank You so so much for Guruji's quick reply. This time I will drop Guruji's meeting at Vrndavana. Of the previous chart this quotation makes more confusion that "The residents of the upper planetary systems, beginning from Brahmaloka ( the Svargaloka (the heavenly planet of Indra) are so advanced in spiritual life that, when they come to visit this or similar other lower planetary systems, they keep their weightlessness. 4.20.22. Just today I read this sloka and the purport.

HpS - ASA - AGTSP paoho. Sorry little slow answering here. Much Sankirtan here in Texas. Lot of work planning our visit to Delhi.     Demigods adopt gross forms. It is like a man who has a dog, no? The dog smells other dogs lower parts, urinates where other dogs have urinated, so when the rich man goes for a walk with his dog he does not adopt the same habits, no? He relates to his dog through a lease, a cord or chain, but he maintains his level of consciousness mostly. Yes, his dog pulls him. His dog may bark at someone and he is responsible.

So Indra, others, their bodies have different combination of "bhumir apo 'nala vayu...", (BG7.4) than your bodies. As you go on with Bhakti yoga you will realize this aspect of the cosmos. You will become master of these mystic yogic (for Krsna).

My family members are alright. My wife had retired from the State Government service on the 28th Feb. of this year. My youngest daughter, who is working in the Sonata Software M.N Company at Hyderabad had transferred at Bangalore in this week and my son's appointment letter is not yet received.

Please give advice if any for the upliftment in the spiritual world.

 What is the relevance or importance of vaastu vidya in Kali Yuga? What did Prabhupada said about that?

HpS - ASA    ---   AGTSP!!!     Paoho.    I don't remember any specific comments by Srila Prabhupada. I think there is a little section in the SB.  Prabhupada told us to sleep with our heads East or South as we heard, and the same thing is there in the SB.   Alll these, Vastu, Ayur, Danda, Gandharva Veda are practical arts as we become purified and learn how to use their subtle influences.

We have to make a water well in Govardhan so we hired an expert, and he marked us the best location to make it because there is where most of the underwater is. But some devotees say that according to vaastu if we make the water well in that location the women in the community are going to become mad and many inauspicious things are going to happen, so they say we have to make it in another location, but in the best location according to vaastu, the water expert can not assure us that we are going to get water.

So what is your opinion about this, is really vaastu that powerful in the present moment, shall we really take that in serious consideration, or just follow the experts advice and focus in having good sadhana and service mood towards devotees?

HpS - I don't know.  I know that half of Gadadhara Das' book on Vastu, he is BIG German expert, is about Correcting Vastu defects.

Water should be in North West Corner, but the slant of the land can change that.

One trick is to put a strong fence around the well area and put the well in the North Easter corner of THAT piece of land.  Another, pump the water out from the Southwest or wherever but them send it by pipe to the North East before you extract it. Follow Vastu if you can, but if not then Krsna will adjust.
