All Glories to Srila Prabhupada

Dear Guru Maharaja, 

Thank Srimad Prahlada Nrismha Prabhu, I can write here again. I don't know exactly the source of the problem and how he fixed, it was magic for me.

So, finally, we can share with you and devotees here some news.

First thing is that tomorrow they will have the final version of the official poster of the entire event, I mean, the whole month and for every table.

On the other hand, they request something very specific. They understand that the TED Talk-style of a conference of 20 minutes would be not too much favourable to you because of the language. Specifically, the time that the translation takes.

So, María Elvira Ríos propose that you give your presentation only in English, because, under her opinion, the level of the English understanding the people that will attend this online program is quite enough to get that you will say. No translator is needed in this case according to her. Mainly, she says that because they want to get much possible from you.

Before, reply to her I wanted to know What do you think about this proposal?

In that case, they request from you the entire written conference beforehand, actually, two days ahead of the event, so they can send it to everyone, and then, the people, that can't understand English take advantage of it anyways.  

The problem with this is they are used to have academic conferences = read the whole thing, sometimes even without pauses :D . She never hears you speak in public, so, probably she doesn't know that your presentation re much natural and not base in just a paper- 

Presentation Design

Finally, regarding the PPTX archive itself, considering the problem with the lack of PowerPoint software that you have now, I offer myself, with the help of a professional Graphic Designer (I live with one) to re-design your presentation to put visually attractive to this public, according to our capacity. We promise to put a lot of ourselves in to do it.

You just can send us the words or quotation that you have in every slide with your visual idea, and it would be enough. I will send you before to your approval. 

Last details

Next week, we will have a Zoom meeting (24 de Septiembre a las 9 am CLT) to reply questions to the speakers and other technical details of the organization, if you want to join.

The 21st September the official advertising campaign will start.

Quarantine in Vrndavan.

HpS - We see that whatever determination we have is probably the mercy of Srila Prabhupada.

...for more attempts and strength I have it is useless to get out of here, but your blessings are the only way to make any progress on this path. 

I am in Vrndavan due to the miscerity of the Karuna virus and I have never felt so much in Maya like now 😆, the only thing that has made me stay in Vrndavan are your classes and your comments on the Vrndavan Mahimambrita of Purnamasi in his appearance (I don't know what it is called) of rest I only suffer for my ignorance. So since I can no longer travel with Harinama Ruci due to the current situation and I do not have a ticket to leave India, we are participating in the "Harinama Vrndavan" Group from Monday to Friday at 4 pm to 9 pm in the Vrndavan parikrama, On Saturdays we do FFL with my partner (planning to get married in November) if everything goes well with the blessings of the Vaisnavas, on Tuesdays a Namahatta Group and on Sundays Parikrama, we are also doing a series of 1 minute BG videos explaining each chapter From the BG, we go to chapter 3.

Some news about the program sponsored by NIOS to the Universidad Católica de Chile here.

1- Gandharva das will translate and coordinate the details with the Universidad Católica technical requirements. 

We can say in advance that the platform o the event will be Zoom nad the regular presentation will be of the 20 minutes but you're highlithed in the program at 19:30 hrs. to finish that day and with the prefix "Conferencia" not just presentation. So, we should know if you will have only 20 minutes too. But we don`t know exactly. We will know today.

It would be very nice to have your personal darshana in the first minutes, and desirably throughout the whole presentation and question and answer. Mainly, because is good to let clear that you will be online, with your personal presence there and it won't just a recorded video. 

So, the question is: Is possible for you Gurudev, to access to a different source of internet that evening? Just asking. I thought that maybe the Nitai Gaura Sundar's house, but is workday. Anyway, I think that is possible to have a US number from the Zoom too, just like Google Meet does, and we could check that works.  

The presentations should be ready and sent to them two days before the day of each table.

3 - Abhirama Thakur das is coordinating the exchange between Solaris magazine and Aisthesis UC Magazine.

4- NIOS and Solaris are sponsors in several items, mainly design, translation.

5- Ambarisha Das and Vrsabhanu Nandini d.d. are working on a promotional and registration videos of the colloquium 

6-OM Bhakti (Lalita Madhava) will give a concert on-line to the program on the first day.

7- The titles of the conferences (in English by courtesy of Microsoft Translation services associated with Office 365) and speakers of every one the three days of the event are in the last part of this report. The important there is that we put the other five participants of the "MESA 2: NATURALEZA Y SACRALIDAD: MUNDO ASIÁTICO" scheduled to the October 22nd, and it will start at 17:30 hrs. (Chilean Time) - that will means 15:30 hrs. Nashville, Tennessee, time. 

I know that now the difference is just one hour, nevertheless, Chile will change to the "Chilean Summer Time" on September 6th, that means that the clocks will move 1 hour forward.

Your particular presentation is schedueled to 19:45 hrs. (Chilean Time.) Details in the final program. The link to the Document is below.

They accept my proposal "Govardhana Eco Village - analysis of the keys to the sustainability of the past to rebuild a better future" I was there, and I think that the award the GEV received and other things will like it to this audience. 

I was there actually but If you can give me an advice about this presentation and share with me any contact from them, I would appreciate a lot.

Despite your table is the third one, I would like to recommend to get the general idea of the second table too. Maybe, we could ask to Carlos Rold to make a summary for you of this table. He's very good in to get the main ideas. 

I said that because the mapuche crisis has renewal in the last weeks. An increment of the Violence in the south of Chile between the police, some mapuche people. And the general people have starting to rediscovering of the deep cultural heritage of mapuche. 

Actually, I'm very impressed for the amazing similarities between Vaisnava and mapuche traditions. So, it would be good for you to be aware of these presentations because it will be there, in ether. Actually, for this reason there is a table focused in indigenous traditions.

An 15 min. interview extract to Gastón Soublette, a Claudia Lira's mentor and one of the 8 or 10 most famous and important intellectuals of Chile nowadays (93 years old and still alive and clear mind)

This interview is in Spanish, however, it has subtitles, and the feature of automatic translation of youtube is very very good to this kind of videos with a good Spanish spoken.

He was in the release of Claudia Lira's book and I broached him, and when I told him about you and your efforst and I told him that maybe you both can talk, he gave me his phone. He would like to know more about a spiritual guru, swami with a western background. 

He lives slightly as a hermit, so for communication, he has just cable-phone, and no smartphone and internet either, so an encounter could be possible in your next physical visit. Or maybe we can try by phone after the event.

HpS - So, the program is 5-weeks from now? Thank you. Maybe we can make it part of a larger program from our side that would complement their program. The Govardhana Eco Village program is very strong. Radhanatha Swami's book is there. I have contact with some devotees there.

First, I am so sorry for not being able to answer your question in your previous letter.

These two weeks I was in full workshops organized by the university I worked. They were pretty interesting though. I was thinking that you may like all the tools that are now available in order to face this stage at education. Many interactive platforms in which you can create attractive presentations. Maybe you can use them. One of the platform is called "Genially education"

HpS - Sounds like you have to be a Genie to use them!!! 😮

Your question in my last letter:

So, if you do not join the meetings, are you resigning from the Junta Legal?

It was kind of funny Gurudeva, because in my agenda I could check that on August 16th I was elected vice president of the Junta legal, and one year has passed and nothing has improved. I did not sign as the new vice president. So, I thought how can I quit if I never do my activities as a vice president. For me is just a waste of energy.

HpS - Unfortunately seems like it is true!

Anyway, I as well as LAD presented my resign letter to the junta . I am so sorry, but in all this year we do not make any progress. I am not interested in positions and so forth.

HpS - I think we should always be open to help if there is sane request. I think you have that, but, yes, one year with no action seems to invalidate the logic. Latin American Regional GBC discussed this and we were asked to ask you all who were, I guess voted as Officers of the Junta, if you could at least stay in place for a few more weeks to see if the new Junta can be legalized and then can resign when new members are picked.

For me and my German mentality it is almost incomprehensible. It is not just ISKCON Peru. The government in Peru also is often incomprehensible to us German dominate Gringos.

I just read your post about fighting corruption in ISKCON, and yes, we have to see and contemplate our faults first. I have a lot so. Better try to do my best in this sankirtan movement

Now I am giving virtual classes and trying to connect more with SP's books, that is my smaranam. To look inside not outside me.

10 years from now, my father left this material world, sometimes I would like that he can see all the battles in which I come victorious.
