I hope that our Lord keeps your health, eyesight, ears, skin well, have you been able to go to a doctor, with the company of a devotee? Has the doctor made any recommendations for care?

HpS - AgtSP! We went to the skin, eye, ear... doctors for our annual check-up. They all said that we can make it for one more year withour hearing aid, surgery etc and that for our age we are in top 10-15% of health, but body is getting old.

Why hang on to an old body when you next one should be good?

Let's all die soon and go to Nimai in Nadiya! With Srila Prabhupada!!!

Responding to the previous letter and questions that arose:

Did Sriman Lalita madhava Das go with us to Manipura one time?

✓Lalita Madhava das says, he has not yet had the mercy to travel with you to Manipur. His health has not been very good, problems with some spinal discs, he is going to a kinesiologist, that and some family problems make us very sad, for my part I try to contain him and give him space in his meditation.

HpS - Super! Thank you. All body problems are good friends for a devotee.

How long have you been on the Diksa community [Committee]?

✓I will complete 6 years of initiation in March 2024, and in September of this year I completed 2 years of Second initiation.

HpS - We thought you were on the Committee that was evaluating and helping candidates for initiation.

Did you make an arrangement with GBC et al for how long you would do it?

✓The truth is that we did not make any type of agreement on how long I would be in this service, since Prabhu Jagat-Guru offered me to be part of the Initiation Committee where there were mainly 4 members, of which 3 resigned after a month, leaving only me, Then we invited Prabhu Jagannatha Caran with whom we are currently performing the service.

HpS - Super! This is normal! Do not be surprised who goes (and returns) but be surprised who stays.

Our service flows, I have learned a lot in many aspects, putting them into practice is the difficult part, but I have the desire and attitude to improve.

Regarding the answer you gave to Prabhu Sadhubhusana of Manipur in his letter, which was closely related to the one I wrote to you, I read it, and I understand very well your instruction Guru Maharaja, perhaps there are times when we are not acting in the correct way. As you have said, participate as Ksatriya-Brahmana and get involved in what I can solve with the help of the Lord, He takes care of the rest.

Any news from, dreams of your father?

✓My father occasionally appears in my dreams, I always feel him so warm, his warm fatherly hug, it feels so real.

On the other hand, when my mother dreams about Him, she tells me that she always feels far away and that she feels as if He has already forgotten her. My mother then says, it must be because he is in a better place.

HpS - 😮 How could he forget her? She gave him a daughter like you and so many other things, no? A big mystery.

In Summary Guru Maharaja currently we continue with the initiation service and I have found it much more pleasant, we reviewed exams asking 3 brahmanas for help in their revision and together with Prabhu Jagannatha Caran, we notified the administrative Board of Iskcon Chile in which Prabhu is also Jagat-Guru, our president of Iskcon Chile, in this way the determination of whether the applicant is recommended or not is reached.

Since we are retiring more and more into Sannyasa, both by force of old age and personal effort, 🙂 we don't have too much Management activity to report.

Guess first thing is ISKCON Peru, then Houston and finally Nashville/NIOS.

1. PERU - There are two management, political, issues with which we are involved.

One continues from the Blog Post: https://monkeywarrior.com/detail/14459/ which is a response by H. G. Daru Krsna Das about criticism of his actions in the Yatra administration, and his critical perspective on actions of others.

I remember that we said that we would wait to see if anyone named in the Post would contact us with a Blog Post, but no one has.

Again, we feel it is an essential, and even for ISKCON, a challenging feature that fundamentally any communications with a Sannyasi about "dhanam, janam, sundarim" money, men and dealings with women be in community forums like this Blog.

Private groups of three or so devotees might be formed to deal with more confidential stuff, but ultimately we have heard from Trivikrama Swami, Abhirama Das, and so many of Srila Prabhupada's Secretaries that he was just the same behind doors about these things as he was in public. He was just the same in private as he was in his purports.

Personally, we do see, maybe 1/1000 times there are comments on morning walks where Prabhupada comments that what he is saying should of course not be said in a public forum.

Daru Krsna Das made this point nicely. Thank you.

However, during some informal communications, one point about the above cited Post was highlighted by two devotees.

As we understand the situation as such:

Hari-buddhi Das made a formal complaint to the Peruvian government that an Annual Meeting of ISKCON Peru corporation, which was supposed to have the members physically present to consider issues and vote even though declared as such never physically happened.

As a result the government sent notices to members of the Corporation that an investigation was going to take place and police would visit them to take their statements.

Abhirama Thakura Das visited H. G. Daru-krsna at that time and Daru Prabhu showed him a notification that he had received from the government that he would be contacted for his statement, and DKD commented that the investigation had started and that ArtD should take the notification that he, DKD, had received to Smt. Gangamayi Devi Dasi, who was the legal administrator of the Corporation at that time. Abhirama Th. Das made a copy of the notification and then gave it to Mataji.

Then, there was a shocking formal letter of denunciation from the Yatra Administration that DKD and Art Das had publicly denounced ISKCON Peru to the police. Which they had not done.

The letter of denunciation was apparently copied to us but we never, never, never saw a copy of it. If we had, we would have dealt with it in the manner we are dealing with the subject now.

[Informally we heard comments that Smt. Gangamayi Devi Dasi supposedly made to JPD and CMDD about giving a report to the police, sanctions from ISKCON if devotees did not cooperate with the Yatra administration in the police reports, and Latin American GBC confidential reactions.]

Ooof! Hey! Surprise??? We are getting a headache?

Yet, when we do construction work we get a back ache. Some head ache, heart ache, is necessary part of our service, but has to be in proportion.

Politicians like Arjuna and Ramananda Raya and Sarva bhauma Bhattacarya and Maharaja Pariksit are designed and situated to engage in diplomatic dealings for Krsna.

We are Sudra, Brahmana, Brahmana, Brahmana. Almost no Ksatriya or Vaisya.

Arjuna and Duryodhana did not approach Vyasadeva to join the battle, but he was an essential part of the battle as a chronicle keeper.

So, that is the only addendum that we can to make to the above post.

Maybe everyone has good motives but there have been genuine misunderstandings. Maybe people have evil motives and secret dealings with money etc but from our position this is all we can say, and we chose to be happy in focusing on friendly or neutral dealings with everyone involved.

Of course we can receive any Posts that devotees want to make on these topics, but other than linking this post to DKD, ArtDas and Mathuresa Das at this point we are 99.99% finished with private discussions of the point.

[We asked Sripada Mathuresa Das to send us Hansarupa Das' contact info so we can just inform him that ourselves, Mathuresa and H. H. Bhakti sundara Swami made an investigation of this issue for the Latin American GBC some years ago, and that if he has any questions for us we can respond.]

The second point with Peru administration is with the decision by the National Council about Nadiya-nivasi Devi Dasi, based on complaints by Milan Ray. Seems that the issue was dealt with with a lot of care and effort, but as Diksa guru we were never informed, and there are a few points that we would need to discuss.

So far it has not moved ahead much and we just sent a follow up letter.

That is the way of administration.

NEVER EXPECT A PERFECT RESOLUTION IN THE POLITICAL ATMOSPHERE.

Get pragmatic results under Brahminical perspective and then get back to the Sankirtan. 🌴 🌴 🌴

2. Houston. Here there is practically speaking no conflict. We are organizing daily Temple participation with classes etc, the three festivals mentioned in the Calendar and developing our Campsite.
3. NASHVILLE/NIOS. We had very good 30-minute meeting with the President and Secretary of NIOS, both Board Members, yesterday and there will be a Special Meeting of the Corporation to make up for the lack of the Annual Meeting

🐵 See! These bureaucratic faults are in NIOS as well as Peru.

HpS is resigning from all NIOS projects and position and money accounts on January 12th which is 20th anniversary of NIOS and 76th birthday of his body, buddy, yet always available to serve in his geriatric condition.

There are proposals that Srinivasa Acharya Das become a Vice-president, Govinda pramodini Devi Das become Secretary and ArtD go on Board of Directors. Any suggestions from anyone else?

Today we went for two big harinam events … Alachua Xmas parade and High Springs parade… hundreds of people attend. The devotees for the day event … take Jaganath, Baladev, and Subhadra out on the chariot and got the night event we have Lord Chaitanya on a flat bed with devotees chanting … Books and prasad ( cookies and candies distribution as well as books. People are very favorable and are in the Xmas spirit

ASA - Sunday January 6? Is epiphany, day three sages from the East came to see baby Jesus with gifts.

please accept my humble obeisances, All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

Am submitting a commentary from a post face-book dialogue with a person disgruntled with ISKCON and they were targeting some specific devotees (?).

In repute, I felt some elaboration on the appearance of the situation versus the sources of agitation might bring some clarity. For your discretion and critique:

Welcome to Kali-Yuga, the age of quarrel and hypocrisy. Sadly, all humanity is in times of confusion and dishonesty. Even obvious solutions are confounded by perverse logic.

Also the Catholic church, Boy Scouts, Olympic Coaches, Private Schools, Uncle Bob... the list goes on in sexual abuses and other atrocities. We are in the worst-case scenario on this planet, add wholesale slaughter and exploitation of animals and we have a perfect storm of suffering.

The only solution to our dilemma is an understanding of the superficial layers of existence and maintaining a proper relationship with our Souls, though here's where vast opinions and methods get misconstrued.

The science of Self-Realization does work and does bring clarity. Getting the information from reliable sources is getting more difficult for as mentioned, this age is not conducive for such education. Regardless, as we are vigilant in defending, we also need to be vigilant from ignorance ascending.

Thank God there are people who pursue these virtues and are able to assist us. The others who are polluted will not help. As mentioned, the onslaught of offenses in many walks of life, committed within institutes we placed trust in is a blatant fact. Knowing this and arming ourselves with intelligence we may fight and conquer such demoniac mentalities.

The trick is in patience versus immediacy. The wheels of justice turn at their pace and karma is not always an immediate event, though it is eternal until neutralized with proper sacrifice. So, those, Saints, Gurus, and Spiritually Enlightened Leaders are all implicated in what we all are in, the Material World.

Place Faith from within to our own Souls, not others' chagrin of perception, for the Paramatma is with us directly and will supersede any external nonsense... now we must face our own nonsense and this is where we need trust in our Faith and those who are sincerely seeking and sharing theirs. (We especial try to focus on this! Thank you, HpS/ASA)

God is in control, give Thanks.

Some subtle cryptic sentences for the author who posted, hopefully, the subtle nuances might bring some future enlightenment. Trying to purge abusive confusions for persons with honest goals and all the while maintaining my meager clarity.

Thank you for your response to my letter. It has inspired a lot of discussion. Planning to talk more with Radhika Ramana Prabhu and Anantarupa Prabhu about ISKCON of Boise and The Hare Krsna Temple corporation in a few days when Radhika Ramana Prabhu is here in Boise. Anadi (TP) has many questions and thoughts on the matter. I’m just a simpleton when it comes to this stuff.

The cultural conquest in Boise Idaho is on its way though. Fixing our selves with the morning program and simply just refusing to give up and always putting:

 "Vaisnava relationships above managerial relationships." This is our challenge.

We also have a strong selfish desire just to have more like minded association, more locals, more life at our temple. I have had visions of devotees practicing mrdanga off in the distance, devotees working on art projects outside, gardeners and lively, radical morning and evening programs.

We had a very cool young bramachari visit recently named Brhat-Mrdanga Prabhu. He’s a disciple of Kalakantha Prabhu and he is one of the leading members in establishing Krishna Houses through out North America. I got alot of his association and we had a very nice meeting with him and Anatarupa Prabhu about having a Krishna House program here in Boise. We have a long way to go but the relationship with him has really developed and he will be visiting Boise regularly and is a great resource, well wisher and friend.

For now I am just working on getting trained to take over Kamalananda Prabhu’s maintenance position at the temple in January. Big big shoes to fill.

Thank you for telling me that Prabhupada considered Saint Francis to be a Bhakta. So amazing. We are so inspired by reading about his life and watching “Brother Sun Sister Moon” movie. Do you think he is more of an avadhuta?

HpS - Thank you. Other devotees also commenting about Boise. One very powerful comment was along the lines of what they taught us in the first year of Engineering curriculum, "If is works, don't fix it". 😃

Of course, enthusiasm is more important than patience, but without patience it all becomes passion! 👻

Seems St. Francis was more on Lord Nityananda's side than Advaita's.

P.S. I would love to work with Jaga-guru Prabhu and help serve his vision in any way if it makes sense. I think there is great potential for the DTC films to be played in independent theaters and small film festivals here. From my own experience in the music world..I may have some zeros that could be utilized.
