Querido Gurudeva

Por favor acepte mis humildes reverencias

¡En primer lugar FELIZ RADHASTAMI! jaya!

¡Hare Krishna Gurudeva! Acá Bhakta Rodrigo Hernández Piceros de Santiago de Chile.

*Nuestra idea era escribir mucho antes a Usted, pero estuvimos ocupados luchando cara a cara con la muerte. (Casi me convierten en fantasma)

Lázaro resucitó gracias a Jesús y gracias a Dios (Krishna) hemos resucitado nosotros.

*Durante Junio, Julio, Agosto tuvimos que vivir cosas muy fuertes.

Los devotos se purifican con el canto del Maha Mantra y con el servicio devocional.

Los pecadores y ofensivos como yo nos purificamos a través del sufrimiento.

Todo este sufrimiento ha sido mucha purificación. Espero que con esta “vida nueva” pueda dejar de ser esclavo de mi mente y sentidos, dejar de ser un esclavo de maya.

*Hay muchas razones para explicar mi crisis (detalles en carta al email: [email protected])

Pero desde el punto espiritual son mis ofensas, pecados y miedos.

* Nunca en mi vida había sentido tanto tanto miedo como ahora entre junio y agosto.

*Gracias a Krishna ya estamos saliendo adelante de mis ‘pasatiempos/problemas”. Todo este tiempo haciendo muchas austeridades, muchas.

*Mi hermano burro ya tiene 40 años y es tercera vez en mi vida que luchamos contra la locura, la muerte, el suicidio.

*Estoy tratando de poder seguir todos sus consejos e instrucciones: (detalles en carta al email: [email protected])

*Todo este tiempo hemos recibido mucha ayuda, amor y bendiciones:

Mucha ayuda de Krishna, Srila Prabhupada, Usted, Brahmanas, Prabhu Deena Bhandu de Vrindavan  y devotos como Prabhu Maha Mukti, Prabhu Madhana Mohana, Jagad Guru, mi familia  y muchos amigos y amigas.

Gracias a Krishna tengo muy buena familia (padres, hermanos, tíos) y ellos me ayudan y perdonan todas mis locuras.

Mucha misericordia de mi familia, de Usted y de todos los devotos.

*Jagad Guru y Nanda Nandana me han entregado el regalo de usted, sus calcetines (Socks). Es mucha mucha su misericordia.

Yo adoro en mi corazón todos y cada uno de los regalos de Usted: Su bolsita de Japa, Hanuman de madera, aceite del Señor Nrisimha deva, remanente  de Chada de Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Maharaja, sus calcetines, los libros de Perú y tantos regalos.

*Pienso que Usted es como Jesús, Srila Prabhupada, Señor Caitanya y Señor Nityananda: Su misericordia es infinita para con los más pecadores.

*Estoy cantando Nrisimha Kavacha mantra, es muy muy poderoso.

*Queremos  ordenar nuestra vida, hacer menos cosas materiales y dedicar más tiempo para cantar rondas y leer los libros de Srila Prabhupada. Podemos morir en cualquier momento (y no quiero vivir en el infierno).

HpS -  Arte surrealista en el infierno?

Hace tiempo que  NO logro cantar 16 rondas, mi tarea principal es mejorar esto.

*Madre Guru Govinda ayudando mucho para solucionar y ayudar a mis ‘amigos sutiles’.

Querido Gurudeva esta carta ya ha sido muy larga, yo ya estoy mejor. Gracias por salvar mi vida y mi alma nuevamente.

. . . Los estudios continuan muy bien al 100% ya estamos llegando a 3 año. Mi familia esta muy bien. Un acontecimiento reciente es que estoy conociendo a un devoto que es de buenos aires, muy buena persona, estamos en pareja,

. . . los devotos ya saben. Mis principios 3, 5/4...Mi japa no estubo tan bien y estoy concentrandome en mejorarla y esta mejorando. Estamos en contacto con Radha JP dd!siempre olvido contarle y tambien con los devotos del yatra cordobes fortaleciendo las amistades siempre. Espero poder tener la suerte de verlo nuevamente cuando venga Gurudeva y espero poder mejorar en mi servicio a Usted¡ mis cariños y reverencias otra vez, por favor disculpe por demorar en escribir. Today I was seeing one Radharani´s photo of Vrndavan, Krsna-Balarama Mandir, is sooo pretty, sooo beautiful, the most big expression of love and care. I had never seen before, anyplace.

I have little to say, going on, but I have done my vrata of 16 rounds every day, I wish I can do always, soo good.

My days are very normal, trying to see the reality not the reflection. Of course, the Japa is the best help for the “normal days”.

Trying to take care of my sentimental heart, learning but happy.

The next week I will do some question.

I remember your person a lot of times Maharaja, is a gift had meet to you.

HpS - ASA -  Jaya, Hara!   Hare!!   Radhe!!!      She is very worried about what is happening to Krsna when She is not there to take care of Him, no?    Maybe She tells Subhadra to take care of Rama and Krsna when They have to go to Dvaraka because no one else will be there and They are so simple tht They will not be able to take care of Themselves.

HpS - AGTSP paoho. Very nice photos. Gopal looks like very nice person. He must be somebody special. Take good care of him. Give him the best you and Franco can give him. Krsna will help!

Please accept my humble obeisances, all glories to Srila Prabhupada!

It's been some time, I just wanted to check in. Still traveling sankirtan, this time I'm with Bhakta Chang, a young brahmacari from San Diego. We were given a free invitation to Bhakti fest, (a popular yoga festival in joshua tree) so we tried it out last weekend. Of course, much of it is rather materialistic, and there are a great deal of prevalent misconceptions about Bhakti, Krsna, etc, but as far as festivals in the western world go I was pretty impressed. No intoxication, no meat, and everyone was chanting hare krsna all weekend! Probably they don't get much benefit from chanting, but most people were innocent and inquisitive.

Radhanath Maharaj is doing fantastic preaching out there, so many people are getting a chance to contact pure Bhakti. We adapted our style to preserve his relationship with the organizers. Mgmt there doesn't like what they perceive as 'proselytizing' so instead of stopping people we set up a little display table on the main drag and performed Kirtan with some other devotees in attendence. It was ecstatic, some people said it was their favorite Kirtan of the whole event, and somehow we managed to distribute quite a few books as well. I think one day we did about 40 big/maha big and collected about 180$, which was surprisingly decent for just calling people over.

Since then we've been mostly in San Diego, trying to get rid of some adhibhautika klesas before moving on. We've been waging chemical warfare with bedbugs for several days, and so far there's been some heavy casualties on both sides. Its taking a toll on our sleep and our sankirtan... but it's nectar. We joined Vaisesika prabhu for MSF here today, and he compared these challenges to Prabhupada's Jaladuta. My realization from today was that we all have some anxiety, it may be bedbugs, it may be tarantulas, but we've got to keep a song in our heart and perform our duty for purification.

I had another question for you about jiva tattva. I haven't spent much time on this topic since in general it can be distracting and nonessential, but I still see this as a relevant and significant topic nonetheless. Where do jivas come from exactly? When we say "Back to Godhead" does that specifically mean Goloka?

HpS-ASA --  AGTSP.   Such a controversial topic before, no?   "My Guru, knows more than your Guru!", "My Guru gave me better knowledge than your Guru!", "My Daddy can kill your Daddy!".

In general Prabhupada doesn't seem to make a specific point about it so much, but mentions it in passing. Some people say that Naranaya Maharaja said, that in "Jaiva Dharma" Bh. Vinode Thakur says, that we fell from Mahavisnu loka, but I have never been able to find that, even in Maharaja's translation of "Jaiva Dharma", and no one has been able to show me the citation.

As far as I understand we could have fallen down, chosen to check out Maya Devi's Top Gun Theme Park, at any time and from any place, Goloka, Ayodhya, Vaikuntha, but also could have "fallen" from Goloka to Ayodhya and then got back up, or Goloka to Maha-visnu loka and then entered the material world from there. Murari Gupta is a Rama bhakta and Back to Godhead for Him means back to Rama lila, no?

HpS - Your note about Svasa was just lost. The Blog is having technical difficulties from our end for the last few weeks.  We never got the letter of recommendation. Can he send to [email protected] and drop us a text message to 209 505-3219 that he send it?
