Hare Krsna Dear Gurudev,

    All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
    All glories to Guru parampara.

As per previous communication, GBC meeting will be in Ujjain from October 9-17, 2017.

We need below information for to make clear plan :
    1. How many days require your involvement in meeting? what would be the dates.

ASA - Thank you for this effort!  We asked Sesa Das, our GBC Secretary and he said these things were not yet fixed. That is not surprising since it five months ahead.
    2. Where you would land (on September 27, 2017)? Delhi or Mumbai ?

ASA - Delhi, Sir.
    3. Do you have any other engagement other then GBC meeting?

ASA - We will be going to Australia for about 10-days. Then the other days we will be developing our Sankirtan. Right now that is especially focused on this International Symposium on 'Art and the Sacred', June 2018, so we would visiting contacts in Delhi, Kolkata etc. We are not sure now who they would be.
    4. Do you have plan to visit Kolkata or other places?

ASA - Yes, but as mentioned above it is not exactly sure where yet.

while, Pune Senior b'chari would like to hear you for 4-5 days. They are not available in Kartik.

Please let me check again with senior b'chari in temple .

your fallen servant,
Girivaradhari-Gopal Das

HpS - ASA  --- Thank you for your systematic efforts. Maybe we all meet with Senior B'caris in Vrndvana during Kartika.

PAMHO

As far as I understand Nandulal d is from Houston right? Do we have to see his accomodations also? Does he know where to stay? I asked PkD.  He is kind of free.  You know!!!!

He told me that he can be with him from around 2pm. We are looking also for other options !!!

Thanks for occupying us in service

Trying to be useful

Candramukhi dd

HpS - ASA -- Thank you.   Also, talked with Abhirama.  I think he can co-ordinate the accomodations.  Its always a danger for single young ladys like your good self working with handsome young men like Nandulal et al without including some married Dude etc in the equation, no?

BEWARE THE WITCH!

Calendar Art and the Sacred 2018 - Mahaprabhu Das

Hare Krsna, Prabhu,

AGTSP!   Paoho.   Last we met was at the ILS, no?  The program in Peru with the National Library in  June/July 2018 is roughly as Radhika described it below.

When I was in India in Jan-Feb we all met with ICCR, Lalita-kala Academy and other cultural groups. Yuddhisthira Govinda Das at Delhi Temple described your Sankirtan success with ICCR etc.

ICCR suggested that they could send 5-scholars artists for this "Art and the Sacred Symposium". Beverly Zabriske, who came 2016 says she can get the Director of the Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York to come and looks like we also have a very good shot at Francis Clooney, Director of Harvard School of Divinity.

The hang-up has been Peruvian politics, administration. The Director of BNP (Biblioteca Nacional Peruano) has changed three times since January. All favorable but could not get it nailed down for the use of the Library for 2018, although they are the co-sponsor in June for "The Psychology and the Sacred II".

Just yesterday we decided to go ahead trying to get them as our venue, which is very possible, but not to wait. Our other contacts are getting cold.

So, this week we will try to get a hard agreement with the Ambasador, Sandeep Cakravorty. He is our friend. An excellent scholar. Excellent organizer.

With his participation we would then go and fix the five scholars from ICCR. At that time we could also put your excellent art exhibition in the packet for Lokeschandra to consider.

We would have a full exhibition hall at the National Library, or if we have to move to another Venue, probably even a better exhibition space although a smaller presentation hall (350 not 512).

However, we could also investigate satellite exhibits in Cusco, Arrequipa, Trujillo, La Paz etc and/or the show traveling after the program in Lima.

That is why I wanted to contact you now.

I will be in Peru-Chile from the 21st June -- 26th July. Maybe you could even be in Lima then. We have very, very well connected friends who could also get corporate sponsorship from Banks et al.

"Psychology and the Sacred II" will be 26th in BNP and then 27th and 28th June in Jesuit University and San Marcos University (oldest in South America).

How does this fit into your plans??   Perspective?   [HELP]

Even if you can't come to Lima 21st-28th June (then we go to Chile) or 12th-14th July (then we go to Bolivia) or 24th-25th July, we could all get on the phone with the Ambassador, Banks, National Library etc.

Please use the address we are writing from to respond. It gets filtered directly into this kind of work and call or text us at +1 209 505 3219.

If you go to youtube.com and use the keywords, "Psychology and the Sacred 2016" you can see a short and medium size professional clip of the last event.

Thank you,
Paoho

Sounds very interesting.

We would need to discuss practical issues like:

Dates, venue ( is it a real art exhibition space)

Budget available

Etc etc.

The best exhibit I have is called Forms of Devotion- The Spiritual in Indian Art. We usually get financial support from the ICCR to bring it to different countries. But you would need to see if the Indian embassy is willing to do the needful to get funding. You can see Forms of Devotion website.  www.formsofdevotion.org

We also have a wonderful film that just came our and a 2nvolume set book.

Dear Mahaprabhu Prabhu,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

I hope you are well. I am writing to you in regard to the possibility of an art exhibition in Peru. My Guru Maharaja, Hanumatpresaka Swami, is organizing a symposium on "Art and the Sacred" in collaboration with the National Library of Peru, the Jesuit University in Lima, the Indian Embassy, the devotee community in Peru, and other organizations. We will invite scholars from South and North America, and I am also planning to participate. The event will happen about a year from now.

Last year, Maharaja organized a similar symposium on "Psychology and the Sacred," hosted by the National Library, and it was a great success with excellent academic presentations, cultural programs, and full house audience. We will build on that success for "Art and the Sacred" next year.

Maharaja and I have seen your wonderful exhibitions of sacred art (in Radhadesh and Florence). We thought that this would be an ideal opportunity to bring a traveling exhibition to Peru, as you have done at other places.

I wanted to connect you with Maharaja to begin the conversation and explore possibilities. I have copied Maharaja on this email.

Thank you,

your servant,

Radhika Ramana dasa

Subject: ISKCON Ed Conference Agenda

Dear Friends,

Hare Krishna. I hope this email finds you all well.

Subhra and I had the opportunity to meet with Hanumatpresaka Maharaja by phone to discuss the upcoming ISKCON Education Conference in Seattle on June 15 - 18. The general agenda that is shaping up seems to be morning presentations with afternoon breakout sessions.

We want the time we spend in Seattle to be worthwhile. A thought Subhra and I had was for the school leaders to spend the afternoons together supporting each other by presenting relevant topics and sharing our experiences. The idea is for us to come away from the conference having had the opportunity to connect with each other and to bring back ideas from the discussions that we can use to help improve our schools.

I have put together a Google Sheet for us to start compiling what we want to talk about:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16gQ7WtbgyYaoLO5NG7GO4vNNwxOKL0ouGAAleHXfCCk/edit?usp=sharing

I encourage you to start plugging in topics as they come to mind. Don’t hesitate to duplicate topics that someone else already put in. If the same topic comes up multiple times, we will know this is something that should go to the top of the discussion list.

Another thing we want to have on the agenda is to allow time in the morning sessions for each of us to give presentations about our schools: introduction, history, current status, accomplishments, and challenges. Let me know if you are interested in doing a presentation, so I can work with Maharaja to put them in the morning agenda.

These are just some ideas. None are set in stone. Your thoughts on the formatting and how we best spend our time is much appreciated.

I am looking forward to finally getting together with all of you (knock on wood).

Yours in service,

Visvambhara Dasa
