Nimai Pandita – Caitanya Mahaprabhu and Academic Scholarship

When Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu returned from Gaya he was a God intoxicated man. His former students saw that now His academic scholarship in logic and grammar was always saturated with Bhava, emotional love of Krsna. We can see this tradition of Prema Bhakti passed down from the Lord to His great disciples such as Srila Rupa Goswami who gave us Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu, Upadesamrta and other erudite works. Within this century we then find Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati and our own Gaudiya Acharya, Srila A. C. Bhaktivedanta, continuing with massive educational efforts. Finally we can share our experiences, challenges and success in continuing with this same line of mixing academic and devotional life in the form of Hamlet and Arjuna, Science, Psyche and Sprituality – The Encounter of C. G. Jung with the Bhagavata of Classical India and Education with ISKCON, developing a global educational initiative based upon Sri Caitanya’s tradition of Bhagavata literature.

we hope and wish that your bhakti is always increasing.

Sadhana: This year much better than last year, and we will make the effort for each year to improve.

Services:

-We are collaborating (Abhinanda and me) in the translation and / or correction of books for the programs of Aravinda d and Baladeva d.

-This year by the mercy of SP and yours we were able to distribute 370 prasadam snack (sweet and salty).

-In December, 31 small books were distributed.

On the 30th I was on a bus heading home and it was late and I was sleepy and one person spoke to me, I did not feel like talking and I did not pay attention to him but suddenly I remembered what you said. "To every person you can talk to about Krsna" and I did, happily I had a book in my purse and the young man took the book: The Hare Krsna Maha mantra.

Services for the temple:

-I collaborate in pujari, officially I have 2 mangalarati shifts per month (1st and 3rd Friday) but this year I have made several replacements. Apart I have collaborated in the festivals, mainly because there is not much staff, I hope this is solved.

-In the preaching with 1 class of Bg per month (Saturday), and sometimes I make the posters of programs, and collaborate with Wilson's secretary on other services.

_Administrative Board of ISKCON Lima gave me the service to take charge of the IBY course, which started in January 2019.

Family:

Sarasvati and Rajani chant 10 rounds and they are reading the SP books. We have a basic program at home where they are learning. This year if Krsna allows and with His blessings they will take some service in the temple so that they can train with more devotees.

They go very well in their studies, they have good character and they are docile.

Thank you very much for all your help. You inspire us and increase our faith in Srila Prabhupada and Lord Caitanya.

I have noticed how the daily reading of the SBG has improved my character and my chant.

Forgive any offense and we are enthusiastic about improving to be useful to you and Srila Prabhupada's mission.

HpS ASA -- I think Srila Prabhupada must feel very satisfied to see all this. He says to others, "Look here! See this family. This is why I came to the West. They have taken what I am offering and they are going back to Krsna and some many people are in their circle of travel". We hope you get deeper and deeper strength.

This year I have tried to join to FMP as much as I can. Let´s say 50%. Japa 60% .

For your support and empowerment I have tried to follow your instructions, with enthusiasm, to buy flowers for deities, do some service at the kitchen and participate in preaching programs. As we did last October 24, 25 and 26 at the National Library of Lima, Peru.

I waited two years to attend this event with the expectation that my participation would be fine and, thanks to Krsna, you confirmed that I did. But all this effort has its reward in the distribution of the books of Prabhupada and Solaris magazine, with the help of devotees of Peru, which you so rightly lead with the aim of performing an academic sankirtan. I feel my service is so insignificant, but with your support it might count for Srila Prabhupada. Thank you so much

HpS - Thank you very much for your participation in Peru. Mexico in the events for Vyasa-puja, service to Radha Madan-gopal. I always remember hearing Prabhupada say during the recording of one lecture that, "The magic will not be done by you, nor me, nor and living being. The magic will be done by Krsna when we become pure devotees of Krsna!" Every day do you make progress? Make progress in conquering bad habits? You have done so much for Krsna. How can He forget you?

We just used the new photo upload process. It is a little complicated but it works really well. This Blog is a product of Prahlada-nrsmha Das sacrifice! The Supreme Undifferentiated Absolute Commando of ASA has therefor bestowed the Golden Banana of Everlasting Fame upon P. N. Das. May he prosper and go to Goloka ASAP!

Few days ago I have added uploaded photos from old blog. And from today everybody can upload photos to their letters. It is done like this:

1. Add new letter, save it
2. On letter page there is orange button "Attach Photos" on top right, click it
3. It redirects you to upload photo page, you can either drag photos there or click/tap in upload widget and it will ask you to choose your photos
4. Wait when all photos are uploaded (it will show ✔ check mark sign on photos)
5. Photos will show on bottom of the letter

Uncle Gismo - Thank PnD. We will try it now. . . . . Can you add "Or Click Here to Browse for Photos" to where it says "Drag photos here". Also it now uploads BMP files! But we got back to this phase and don't know if our photos are attached. O.K. We will Publish and see if it works.🙄
