    Guru Dev, I came back from Vrindhavan.It was nice.

    Visited different different placeses. Done Vrindhavan & Goverdhan Parikrama, attended lectures,
    attended Go-puja, Gopastami ceremony, associated lots of vaishanavas, talked with Vrajavasis,
    purchased some books - Padma Purana etc.

    Visited H H Bhakti Damodhar Maharaj's samadhi in Radha-Kundha. I stayed some time in Radha-
    Kundha.

    I was missing you in Vrindhavan. I had started alone for every thing in Vrindhavan but got
    association of different different Maharaja on the way. Like, I went alone to do Goverdhan
    Parikrama but i got association of H H Indradhumnya Swami Maharaj there, similarly more. but i
    missed you every where.

    I returned with lots of Sankalpa, nothing else.
                   ASA -  All the Ministers follow the King!   :O)
     When you will come back in India after Australia. What will be the dates! I have to book tickets to
     meet you & what will be your schedule then?

               ASA - We are waiting like this week for devotees, Presidents, in Australia to fix the dates there.  Then we know when we will return!   :O)

This question again arises from BHVAI studies and your lecture in Mayapur.

We intially take instruction from Scriptures, then we at higher stages we take instruction from good people [the 6 brahmana concept], then we get guidance from super soul and then ultimately direct  bhagavan. the sequnece developes on our development of our chanting...vidya vadu jivanam... please correct if the sequence is improper.

             ASA -  Whoop!     From the beginning we can hear scriptures from the Brahmanas!    That is good start!

...you also said in kaliyuga VAD does not work, so scripture does not work directly therefore its better to contact good people and ask them what to do ? --

          ASA - This is Parasara dharma sastra.   VAD.   Bhakti scriptures work.   VAD works to some degree, more or less.    Parasara gives some injunctions but says too many situations in Kali yuga to cover all, so go to Guru and Vaisnava with the examples he gives and then make decisions!!

How do we judge good people. if scripture [esp VAD ]does not work, what to do we expect from people.  {Like in lecture in Sil Valley you yourself that Sannyas like Narada Muni is not possible in todays world.}

-- how much of concepts learned in Srila Prabhupada books should be applied directly and how do we come to know the heirarchy of concepts.. .. we know you told us without good morning program these questions are not fruitful.. but we think these principles support our morning program...

            ASA - The books themselves will tell us which principles are more important if we just keep on reading.   If you can keep a healthy morning program, Chanting and little Deity worship by Brahma  muhurta and then books when there is light , then all your day will be very bright!

             AGTSP    (((paoho)))        How are you!     We are exhausted.  Hours on internet and 45-minutes intense discussions with Boise about Sankirtana and travel plans yesterday. Then the program at the Cultural Center of the Casa of Monedas. It is the Mint that dates back to the Colonial Era. The Center is multi-storied, underground with shops, theater and exhibitions spaces. It is world class and the sponsored the Bhagavata and Socrates program.

Arjuna, Rodrigo and everyone had all the LOB art on exhibition, a display of Prasadm that looked like th Hilton hotel of the Spiritual World.   Lalita and Juan did world class Sarod and Tabla music.  Then HpSwami was inspired by the gods and did a heavy one hour presentation on all the material we have from Lima, Valparaiso and Nashville - Carl Jung, Sophocles, Camus, Einstein.

The auditorium held 240 but there were about 250. There we Yogis, devotees in ties, invitation was required to enter, big journalists and scientists. The lecture was excellent, questions were excellent, we finally go home and into bed by 10:57!        Brother Ass was shaking.  So much psychological energy to deal with so many intense people.

Well, seems like is healthy fatigue and going a little lightly today we should be O.K.    Seems like this year is ending with a big fire growing and then we have to have the devotees take charge next year.

 HpS - ASA -- AGTSP paoho. It's interesting to hear your words. But we lack the general background to put too much action juice into them. If I told you that we have to meet with Laksmana agra Ja in about 45 minutes you wouldn't know if Laksmana was a man or a women, if it was in Lima or Chosika and what the topic was.
See what I mean? Your investigation is honestly very interesting and your reports of conversations with Sri-kara Das interesting! There are non-ISKCON Hindu panditas who also calculate the Adhik mas, no?
For example, we are now celebrating Vijaya-dasami, tommorrow. So I guess we could all agree that it is Dasami, but your conclusion is that this is a different month of the lunar calendar, no????

1. Sorry it has taken me so long to respond to your comments which I greatly appreciate. I have been adjusting to completing the year long medication regime which was so far successful but I won't know for sure until 12 months have past. Nonetheless, I was not up to par for awhile.

2. Regarding your comment about 10/24/2012 and celebrating Ramacandra Vijayotsava. As of 10/15/2012, the GBC calendar was back in sync with the proper stars and this holiday was correct.

3. Regarding your question about non-Iskcon Hindu pandits calculating Adhik mas. This is precisely the where the problem appears to lay. The common method is derived from Bhaskara II in the 12th century which uses the idea of lunar months and solar transits.

          HpS -  AGTSP     Hope your drugs help your service!   What is a Solar Transit?

This method uses the tropical signs of the zodiac and does not address problems with proper alignment of the vedic lunar months with their respective nakshatras. This is my whole point.

4. I realize that I need to develop this material into an easy to visualize series of pictures which I will soon do. Sorry, I understand this is a difficult subject for a non-astronomer/astrologer. Hope this does it for now.

Still in Santiago, Chile.   Still little allergy infection (like 2,000,000 more people here). Today we have big program in the Casa de Monedas.  It dates back to the Colonial Period. It is Socrates and Pariksit.

Yesterday we concluded 7-hours of phone calls to Jet Airways to try to change the return date of our ticket from Radhadesa in May. The Educational Conference was fixed for three days later so we had to change our travel date. It has been hell past human imagination trying to do this, but stll we haven't received final confirmation by internet.

In Vrndavana only Krsna and Balarama kill demons. Everyone else just calls, "Hare Krsna, Hare Rama"!

I guess that's all. We have so many individual discussions, consultations, wth devotees daily and the Temple is packed full for lectures.  AGTSP!!!   Please accept our humble obeisances.
