Hare Krishna Maharaja,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

I would like to give you an update of our program of this weekend. We've had our 3rd annual Amsterdam Kirtan Mela, paired with a Holy Name Retreat with His Holiness Sacinandana Swami Maharaja. The event received a good 300 visitors, plus several devotees who took up active services. Unfortunately i haven't seen much good photo's online yet.

We took some effort to draw in people from the yoga communities and have seen several faces unknown to us. Still, most of the visitors were ISKCON affiliated, Surinami Hindus and some of the Indian diaspora. I should say there were a lot of 'white bodied devotees'.

After three rounds we concluded this was the best one, with some good lessons learned. We again sold tickets (€25 for grown ups, €5 for kids under 16), and again we received some complaints and had devotees who we've known for years who boycott us). Still we believe it is alright what we do. I've asked feedback from some devotees to hear their thoughts, so we learn a bit and came to conclude that both ways have their advantages and it might not make a big difference. From how everything went, we believe Krishna was pleased with our effort, despite the arguments of some.

The idea that yoga students from around Amsterdam would come because of fixed price tickets is not yet proven. I tend to think the bastion of ISKCON wards of some people. We could make more effort next year to visit more schools and have a talk and see where they stand, and see if they can appreciate what we have to offer.

So that's more or less my missionary work for the year. Although i got some impression this weekend that Krishna pulls at me to get my spiritual life together. I've received good food for thought from the retreat today, as well as a lot of inspiration.

I hope you are doing well Maharaja. I hope you feel satisfied in the way you're instrumental in Srila Prabhupada's mission. I haven't followed your steps, i admit. I do think fondly of your example of educating yourself and build bridges. In that sense i am following in your footsteps in my own tiny way actually. I'm doing eclectic reading, bit of history, cultural philosophy, literature (short stories), biographies. I get to know my self and my range better with age. Its funny how that works, its kind of like board games; once you get going nicely, the game is almost over.

I am so glad and relieved to see that your holiness plans to visit Vraj dham this year. Consequently I, have currently dropped my plans for spain. Although, I am thinking of atleast making my passport.

I had a very very wonderful Darshan at jagannath puri. Tried visiting the places where sri caitanya mahaprabhu used to go. I got lot of mercy in the form of darshan and prasad at alarnath dham. The stone that had melted under Caitanya mahaprabhu is still there.

Went to bhajan kutir of H.D.G. Srila Bhakti Siddhant Saraswati thakur Srila Prabhupada. My appreciation has increased so much for him. I always felt special connection with H.D.G. Bhakti Siddhant Saraswati goswami Prabhupada. I am currently planning to read Bhakti Siddhant Vaibhav by H.H. Srila Bhakti Vikas maharaj. Found a online free copy, not sure if that's the complete version or not.

My sadhana has also improved a lot. 4 regulation principles intact and chanting my 16 rounds regularly but quality has to improve.

My Nitai and Nimai deities are back with me so I am very happy to serve them again. Looking at them gives me lot of happiness.

Srila Gurudev one question : how do senior devotees associate with each other. When Sanyasis and senior devotees meet each other how do they associate, what do they talk about.

Gurudeva, I wanted to say thank you.

I am making some advancement and I owe you very much for this.

I know I could not pay you back but I do desire to try. I am trying my best by waking up everyday at 3:45am, chanting 16 superbly attentive rounds,

following 4 regs

and dancing at Mangala aarti.

My rounds are done before 9am. Our morning program is pretty much like clock work, and I am working on going deeper.

I am very determined to spread KC in Dallas here to westerns. We have programs specifically targeted for this demographic and we are finding some success. Even more targeted is I am working to spread KC with youth. I have signed up for one of the NA leadership initiatives and Youth is my initiative I have chosen to be part of.

I figure this works very in line with my current preaching endeavours at Krishna House Dallas. We have a nice group with Manoram Prabhu, Malati Prabhu, Kalakantha Prabhu and Sangara Thaukur Prabhu. I think this is a great opportunity for me to work with and see some nice devotees in action.

Gurudeva, I really don't want to leave anything on the battlefield when I leave this body. Besides FMP and my service, I have read 9 books in the last month on communication, leadership, sales and wealth.

We will read Art of War soon.

I don't plan on slowing down with this.

I was told recently, a little over a month ago, that I have so much more potential than what I am giving. That stung but at the same time it started a fire within me, challenge accepted.

Since then, I have felt more alive in my KC than ever. I see more clearly my service, an amazing increase in my ability for it and my better character. I am a coach, a teacher, like you said 15+ years ago.

I don't want to do anything less than giving my everything for Srila Prabhupada and you. However, Gurudeva, I want to be transparent in my endeavor with you. If you have any concerns or adjustments, you would like from me please tell me. If you would be so kind please bless me that I can be the best leader, communicator and most importantly servant that I can be for Srila Prabhupada.

I am looking forward very much to seeing you in Houston, if Krishna allows me to live that long.

We continue fighting, this mind I have is very demonic, but without a doubt the process of Krishna consciousness helps to control it through spiritual intelligence [3.43]

I have interacted with devotees from other Vaishnava schools, it has been nice to be able to appreciate their service. I don't share some things with them, philosophical topics and I think that if at some point they invited me to listen to a class at their school, I would avoid doing it, but if I share Kirtan, it is what unites us, and well, prasadam too (but making sure which does not have garlic or onion.)

Since February I have been making a contribution to the ISKCON Chile temple, and also to NIOS Chile, for whatever purposes they deem appropriate.

I took a Vedic counseling course, they teach the basis of the most important Vedic sciences: jyotish, ayurveda, yoga and vastu. It's in English, so it helps me put a little more effort into learning the language.

My musical and preaching project on social media is having good results. I am adapting the maha mantra to popular songs and it is attractive to people, also devotees.

Thank you Gurudeva for accepting me in your program again.
