Viplavah-4

Hare Krsna!

1. We are planning for a Release Date of 2018, May 29th, Purnima, for Viplavah-4 (Volume-1, Number-4?).

2. We have talked with Bala-Govinda Das and he will write to Bhakti vidya-Purnima Maharaja for the article on Philosophy of Education.

3. We will ask Visvambara Das and the North American Zonal Representatives to collect some material, synopsis of the presentations, for the June Florida Symposium on Education.

4. We will continue with Radhika-Ramona Das promoting the developing the Janmastami issue as a hard academic issue.

5. We will link and translate for publication some of the articles from 'Jayam', the Spanish language journal. (We have no objection to putting all the Journals under one name but we also think different names for Regional Journals might be more inspiring. Food for thought).

6.As examples of specific projects we want to include:
a. "www.Vedabase.com" and
b. report on the South American GBC College, Zonal Supervisors seminar in Brazil.

7. We need a Zonal Representative's Report.

8. Data base Report.

9. Calendar events.

How does this sound for creating a revolution?

The Final Lesson

One of our best friends is leaving his body 4th stage prostrate cancer. We sent a letter hoping it will be an exciting experience.

He answered:

"Haribol Maharaja,

Not sure how soon. But for now I am going through some heavy purification to prepare for the trip.

Just got out of hospital on Monday after prostate op and biopsy. Tuesday night couldn;t empty my baldder, Wedesday morning back in hospital for a catheter implant. I am at home now with the catheter for the next 8 days. After the first operation I collapsed and stopped breathing and had CPR administered. I literally left my body, it was very intense. I saw the whole life show in 30 seconds right before my eyes.

Developing Systematic Srimad Bhagavatam Study

Esteemed Maharaja, Badri-narayana et al,

Thank you Maharaja for you letter with details of your visit to Boise.

I think our personal relationships with the devotees are nice.

It is on this institutional level, with your good self as GBC Secretary, that we feel great urgency to work on developing the temple educational programs. This is within perspective of our participation in the Ministry of Education and as prototype work for all of ISKCON.

There are many reasons why we have been making the endeavor specifically in Boise for many months with many devotees, and at this point I feel we have come to an impase where we need to work with you as our institutional leader in terms of the Boise Temple producing results that will be applicable on a broad range in ISKCON.

Our perspective is that regular, daily, Srimad Bhagavatam classes for the Temple members is the best way to reduce personal conflict amongst Temple members and increase the Deity standards.

With some contemplation of this theme what are your thoughts?

We can go ahead with this dialog at a convenient pace. We are traveling in South America now, probably with a full calendar like everyone.

I just read the Kapi Dvaja. In New panihatti Dhama I was personally introduced to Srila Prabhupada by Tamal Krishna Goswami, that weekend in February 1975. He brought me in and had me set a flower on Srila Prabhupada's desk and said "This is Bhakata Michael , he joined our party at a young age." Prabhupada looked at me and said "Very good."

Then Srila Prabhupada said "You are all Vaikuntha men," (we were immaculately shaved up and adorned with tilak and dhotis.) "I am very grateful that you are assisting us in distributing our literature. I am always thinking of you boys in the vans." and " Stay brahmacharya if you can. My guru maharaj went directly from brahmacharya to Sannyas, You will save yourselves a lot of trouble if you are able to do that." He added that "You have a good leader with Tamal Krishna Goswami, you follow him and I will be pleased."

Yesterday the wife and I went to El Rancho for sankirtan. 5 people bought Srila Prabhupada's books from us. The last one to a man that had repeatedly gone to Kalachandji's restaurant. Everyone got a maha flower garland from Sri sri Radha Kalachandji.

We are months away from being able to get to Mayapur. In the mean time, I have a lot of work to do and there is the sankirtan mission of Lord Chaitanya to worry about.

HpS - ASA - Hare Krsna!!! AgtSP. Seems to me that you and Arron can live together peacefully and help each other. It comes from realizing that I have to decide to be happy and not depend on others, using their association to become happy and not sad.

Of course, always heading for more renunciation.

We are in Houston lecturing and on "Lord Caitanya, the Ideal Preacher of Srimad Bhagavatam" in preparation for Gaura-purnima and we have distributed 15=TLCs so far!
