How r U Guru Maharaj Ji? Hope recovering from your pain in chest and thereby feeling better.

At here regarding my Ph.D. on the meteorite that KRISHNA had gifted me, I have been trying my best to communicate with professors worldwide, with a faint hope in my heart if they give me one chance to pursue research work under their kind guidance. But no positive result came back for me. Finally, a researcher from UC Davis came to know about me and the meteorite. He suggested me to appear GRE & TOEFL exams by November and after scoring good marks in those exams I can communicate with the professors from UC Davis, they might take me!!!

But for my home members, they are not supporting me in this respect. My father wants me to join his business and extend it more. And according to my mother, they are very old now so I should be with them. So, accordingly, I have slightly modified my idea to serve KRISHNA by research works. If I am bound to do business then I shall be doing distance education- BA, MA in Mathematics from some good universities and there by trying my best to delineate the mathematical principles’ that are beautifully ornamented in ancient Vedas, Upanishads and other holy books. Through this, I can show a link between science and religion.

I was born on 16/03/1985 at 12:50 pm, Imphal. So accordingly, in the meantime, my parents are in a rush to get me married as soon as possible??? Since I am the only devotee from my home so my parents don’t understand what type of life partner would be the best fit for me (a devotee). According to them, I eat pure vegetarian so a girl who eats vegetarian would be O.K.???

Many have introduced them with devotee girls for my marriage but they had shown little interest to them. Finally, a devotee girl from Shillong (born on 29/01/1997) is somewhat being liked by them so they have decided to meet her family (as because of both our birth chart matches 30 out of 36 gunas).  They want me to finish the marriage ceremony before the end of  Shrawan month (with in 20 days).

GuruMaharajji, please have mercy on me and kindly give your precious suggestion in this matter.

HpS - AGTSP paoho.  Thank you for your news and letter.  Very much. Hearing from you brings back many nice memories from Northeast.   First principle is that Canakya Pandita says that victory comes from good advice, and good advice comes from many counselors. So, that is my first advice, discuss your marriage and ashrama with many people.

Second, is that we cannot possible know the details of your life with so little contact as we have, so you need to develop relations with people who know you in more detail, Siksa gurus. Drona was the Siksa guru for the Pandavas and Dhaumya was the Kula-guru, family guru. SB 1.9.67, "He was actually the right type of priest of a householder, for he could guide the Pāṇḍavas on the right path of religion. A priest is meant for guiding the householder progressively in the right path of āśrama-dharma, or the occupational duty of a particular caste. There is practically no difference between the family priest and the spiritual master. The sages, saints and brāhmaṇas were especially meant for such functions." Someone like HariDas Maharaja could help in this function.

Third, yes, 32-years old is really very old in Varna-ashrama-dharma for getting married. SB 1.17.38 "2. There must be compulsory marriage of young boys and girls attaining twenty-four years of age and sixteen years of age respectively.", but this is Kali-yuga, but maybe you should remain B'cari.   My intuitive since would be that it would be best to get married and a couple of children quickly. Then you could progress from Grhastha ashrama to Vanaprastha, Sannyasa by 60-years old, maximum.

Fourth, the basis for all of these decisions is, "How will this help me chant 16-enthusiastic rounds and follow the four principles strictly?"

Regarding career path. I would say that the metiorite study would be too specific and difficult. Better to try some business with your father. You don't need a diploma for that work.  Just try doing business and then you can judge from the results. You can find time to develop your intellectual service along with your daily business actvities.

HpS - Hare Krsna!   We have known each other for many years, no?  You are that "Dalia"?    If you have have been following the principles strictly and chanting 16-enthusiastic rounds daily, minimum for at least one year and participating in the ISKCON temple programs then with a letter of recommendation from the Temple it seems very nice to us that you take initiation, but... the Temple knows that they cannot recommend you unless you have taken the official ISKCON Disciple Course and passed the examination, no?

Waiting for news. We will be in Lima on Wednesday.

It has been a while since my last letter. Family life is a little busy for me right now. Our third baby is due in about a month so it will be busier than now!

HpS - Very nice. AGTSP.

I am still in Calgary but have been struggling with spiritual life- not too much association with devotees in our similar life situation and age. We will be moving to a different community next year where there are more young couples with children and a small gurukula. My husband is planning on teaching there. We are looking forward to it. I try to motivate my mind by listening to lectures by you. It helps a lot. 

Japa is not very consistent at the moment due to family demands. But I make it my goal to complete my rounds everyday. That's the only thing that keeps me going.

HpS - Get up early and get your rounds done. Have a partner by telephone. That wakes you up or you wake them up.

I do have a question- I see that there are a few devotees who sell tulsi beads that look very fancy and all. Some of the devotees go to yoga shows or conventions and set up a table to sell. My question is, can non-devotees who buy tulsi, not knowing anything about tulsi, wear these necklaces?

HpS - As far as I know it is O.K. It is like taking charanamrta without knowing it. Probably not good to mistreat the beads but neutral affection for them seems to be a greater benefit. We don't know for sure.

I was curious about this because I would also like to do the same thing.

HpS - Dhananjaya Das told us that Prabhupada said that he could package Gaura-Nitai deities and sell them as (Indian) Good Luck Statues and tell people that if they took care of them properly they would bring good luck.

Vijitatma Das. Our god brother who has been a fanatic book distributor forever sells tulasi beads to attract people then books.

I wish they would start exporting them from Peru. She grows very big there.

More news next month. Unless you are chanting good rounds you are giving your babies powdered milk. Ha!   Ha!  Hare!

Please accept my humble obeisanses unto HpS Guruji Maharaja’s padama charan that I had read Sarada Gourangi DD letter with the photos of Ratha Jatra in Imphal and surrounding and Gurujis reply.

HpS - We all liked the description so much. You are very fortunate to live in Manipur. You have to take care of everyone.

Yestarday, the 5^th July, 2017 ( Engen 12^th – Harisoyan) my newly constructed house was inaugurated in our Manipuri Tradition.

Jaya!  Is not a part of the material world, no?   It can go to Goloka.

On this auspicious day, Banamali Prabhu, Nabadwipchandra Prabhu, Brajabhakta and another bhakta (Mrdanga bitter) came and participated the function. It is beyond our expectation that Bonomali Prabhu handed over me a chitrabot – full size of Radha-Krsna and two other Gopis in both sides with a bunch of agarpati. Suddenly, Navadwipchandra Prabhu proposed to do Kirtan for some time but I have not mridanga. From where I will collect? It is big question in my mind. In the meantime, I remember one younger brother He has Mridanga. I contact him with mobile and send one of my fellow and we have two pairs of karatala. Within 10 minuts the sankirtan started and participated all the invitees of ISKCON bhaktas and arranged prasadam of above 350 invitees.

Sounds like story from Caitanya-caritamrta.

Nabadwipchandra Prabhu offered Prasadam to the daity and aarati. I think, all such small but strange things happen with the inspertion of Sri Krsna.
