Please accept my humble obeisances. Have passed many things since I wrote you the last time, now I'm in Sankirtan close to the city of Cordoba, and how you are? The health go on in a good way?

HpS/ASA - AgtSP! Paoho. Thank you for your letter! News!

We are sitting in the airport in Richmond. It is 9.48PM, Ekadasi. We are waiting for our flight at 10.37PM back to our base in Nashville.

Our body has failing eyesight. Little congested breathing. Some pretty bad digestions because of a lot of variety of Ekadasi Prasadam offered by the very nice devotees here.

If we chant from our heart we can even make this rotten machine move in ecstacy by the mercy of Gaura Nityananda!

I'm Chanting the 16 rounds and following the 4 principles (but the rounds is a little bit dificult in sankirtan)

Now in the sankirtan i made somthing interesting to sell the book of Srila Prabhupada, when they don't look very confidents about buy the book I play this game: If they guess what is my country from origin they win a book totally for free, but if they loose they have to buy a book.

While I grite this letter aprox 7 persons have now in their homes a Book of SP (just one win a book totally free) I don't know how that game works, but I feel nice about they having now an oportinitie to be Krsna conscious.

In this months probably I will don't have much time to grite you but i hope that Krsna give to me the oportinitie to be in contact whit you.

And a last thing, I got a question from the order of the Bhavagad-Gita, is about the order of the Satkas (sextuple division), they have a meaning to be in thet specific order? Karma-Bhakti-Jñana

HpS - We don't know what are the Satkas??? We don't know BG too well. You are with H. H. Dhanvantari Swami?

He might know.

Karma yoga, following Varna-ashrama Dharma for Krsna, gives us wisdom, Jnana. Then we can do our Karma with wisdom. It is Jnana yoga.

Jnana yoga teaches us to search and find Krsna, paramatma, in our heart. So, karma yoga, manifests Jnana yoga ... Dhyana yoga ... Bhakti yoga! 🙂

In the last letter you told me:

Hope this year of the 10,000 is a very good year for you to pay your debts to anyone.

I also wish the same, but I will have to be patient, to be able to do something does not depend only on me, but also on the authorities and the people affected.

HpS/ASA - Yes!

My sadhana has been maintained: 16x4 - personal reading - sastra study with other vaisnavas 5 days a week - arcana (flower and incense) - prasadam (even falling into eating bhoga, now I have been diagnosed with pre diabetes. I see this as the mercy of Krishna to eat less and give up sugar) - struggling with the pillow, I would love to be able to do Mangala Arati again without affecting my emotional health from not getting enough sleep.

HpS - Have to go to bed early?

My spiritual life is up and down, currently I am well situated in my Krishna consciousness, but I know that it will not always be. I go through cycles, just like in my illness. For periods I really like spiritual life, I do the practice with joy, but after a while my awareness towards sense enjoyment increases, I do not stop the practice of the process, but my awareness is not adequate.

HpS - Sometimes the river is rough, sometimes it is peaceful. The closer we get to the shore and getting out, the more we are free from the changes.

Although I am not qualified, I have an intense desire to preach. On Fridays I have a window at the institute, and I found out that it was a good time to do sankirtan, so I go for a walk and distribute some books. Now I am organizing myself to do the same on Tuesdays, before entering the first class of the week.

HpS - There must be some personal motivation within the spiritual motivation eg. desire to become famous as a religious preacher. Is that true?

A few years ago, a devotee recommended me to take the contacts of the people who did sankirtan for them, and thanks to this, now I ventured to talk to those most interested to send them a daily verse from the BG with a short explanation, explanatory videos, songs, etc. Now I started to do something similar but with devotees, since while I read the scriptures I keep excerpts that I find interesting and I have the desire to share them. I also want to apply my studies and sell books online.

HpS - Who are your Sankirtan partners? If you rely too much on your own management it can be dangerous, no?

I work daily on my musical compositions, I already have a proposal of 9 songs for the first album. The central theme is the basis of philosophy: we are not the body. I also write poetry on a daily basis and am working on a science fiction novel.

I have an idea that preaching programs can be made for every type of person who approaches Krishna: suffering, wealth seeker, inquisitive and God seeker.

I wish he is ecstatic in his service to Srila Prabhupada

I just wanted to write something, and to have your association and to hear from you.. and maybe this post could be useful for others too?…

ASA - fIVE gOOD rEASONS tO wRITE! 🐵

I’ve had the good fortune to hear some of your classes and kirtans on YouTube lately, it has been very inspiring. Also I’ve read back through a lot of your DTC posts.. there are many gems of wisdom there. Thank you.. 🙏

Just to share some background, and thoughts I’ve had lately, if I may..

I am a practicing Brahmacari, and overall my experience has been quite nice. Asrama life seems to make following Srila Prabhupada’s program quite easy-chanting 16 rounds, following the 4 regs, etc… it is just nice to be in a place where devotional service is always flowing.. one can take shelter simply by showing up to the programs.. quite a blessing really.

HpS - One time Jayananda Das said to us that Krsna consciousness was eating and sleeping in the best of company, only eat Prasadam and sleep in the Brahmacari Ashrama and you will have no problems!

I really like to give Srila Prabhupada’s books to people face to face, on streets, campuses or whatever. But aside from that initial contact it is hard to connect with people and help them along; I don’t feel so capable of doing that in my current state.

Maintaining relationships with people can honestly be quite difficult, even with others in the asrama, who we’re supposed to be close to and friendly with. Sometimes things feel competitive. Maybe that’s just normal for us in Kali-yuga?.. Would you have any advice how to improve our relationships/behavior/attitudes with other devotees?

ASA/HpS - The answer to that question really seems to be a vast majority of the content of SB, CC etc! When the NoI came out I read Text Five and it helped so, so much. I could then begin to see that there are different kinds of devotees and we talk in intimacy with them differently.

Then of course, Text 10 talks about all kinds of people from Vikarmis to Srimati Radha and gives us hints how to deal with them.

Beyond that, again, Hansadutta told us that SP said that every psychological circumstance that you can encounter is in SB.

Take the stories to heart.

Put them in modern dress.

Do dramas out of them.

Then you will relate to people as expertly as Narada Muni! 😯

I read in a recent blog post, one devotee said something about feeling lonely as ever, even in the community of other devotees and your response was very interesting:

“From reports that I get, most

American devotees feel the same. Once a crocodile, a crocodile until death.”

It made me wonder if it’s just part of the karma of being born American to have trouble getting along with others and wanting to dominate everything.

HpS - Hmmm. Lot of variety in Americans, but I would say that seems we will have a lot of that mentality.

Maybe horses instead of crocodiles.

Just have to learn how to use it in Krsna service.

We really, all, only have one Best Friend, and until we get His association we will feel lonely.

Anyways, I hope I’m not rambling on too much, but thank you for your time! I don’t know if I’ve made any sense here.. but I would be glad to hear anything you have in response..

I feel like a little ant that is just starting to realize the fact that I am only a little ant, with a lot of work to do (to return to Krishna)!

Maharaja, we are very excited to hear that you will be visiting us in September. Anantarupa prabhu has bought my ticket to fly with you back to Tennessee and I was hoping to stay for a few days. So can I be there from Wednesday the 27th to the evening of Saturday the 30th of September. Is that okay with you?

HpS - Seems fine with us. Your mercy! Whole week of festivals. We can develop a lot of Sankirtan.

I like to sleep on the floor and I can cook, clean and do any other menial services.

HpS - How about Brahminical services!? 😄

We want to thank you again for giving Yamuna her middle name. ~Tarangita~ It very much suits her so far. Waves of the Yamuna river. Fresh. Not stagnant. Anantarupa Prabhu says that she will bring waves of bhakti to the Boise temple and the astrologer says she will start preaching very successfully at age 15.

Also, I wanted to let you know that we have a wonderful new pujari from Nepal named Madhava prabhu. It was a long process getting him here but thanks to Radhika Raman Prabhu and Anadi’s strong and diligent effort he is now taking very good care of Radha Bankebihari. I also really like him. His association has been a very good thing.
