...about the organization of seminars in Valparaíso and SOuth America

All Glories to Sri Sri Goura-Nitay
All Glories to Srila Prabhupada
All Glories to H.H. Hanumatpresaka Swami

Please accept my most humble obeisance

Hare Krsna Guru Maharaja, I hope that your health is acceptable and you are finally getting some rest. My name is Ignacio González, from Valparaíso.

ASA - AGTSP....  We remember you Ignacio.  Your wife, baby and cat!

Now I´m writing to give you some news about the seminars that we have been arranging for your visit in November to Valparaíso, Chile.

We have being organizing at two universities:

1.       With the Santa Maria University (UTFSM), but we haven´t got any answer from them yet… we will keep trying. Anyway this has been the modus operandi for the last 2 years.

2.       We have confirmed a seminar in the Pontifical Catholic’s university of Valparaiso (PUCV) about “el cantar de cantares”. Will attend 3 theologian teachers from the university, to discuss different aspects of the seminar. Here are the links so you can see their curriculums:

a.       Dr. Kamel Harire https://www.dropbox.com/s/au82iix07diyc2k/Curr%C3%ADculum%20%20Kamel%20Harire.doc

b.      Dr. Gonzalo Ulloa https://www.dropbox.com/s/td09udtnrwcev68/Curr%C3%ADculum%20Gonzalo%20Ulloa.doc

c.       Dr. Juan Daniel Escobar https://www.dropbox.com/s/r34qaxsalvbfjgc/Curriculum%20Vitae%20Juan%20Escobar%20%281%29.doc

All public (60) will be university students of this and other universities. Also will be invited different academicians of the university.

The people of the university ask us for a little summary of the presentation for advertising in the university, and also for the theologian teachers that will discuss with you because they want to prepare themselves for you. In addition, do we have an official name for this presentation?

That´s all for now. Anything that concerns, worries or bothers you please let me know, so I can try to repair the situation.

Your lousy servant
Ignacio

HpS - AGTSP.   AGAIN.    We are still not sure that we are coming to South America this year.  After we get back to Nashville and settle down for a few months and WRITE then we will know for sure.   But this work on Song of Songs is very, very useful.   The title will be The Song of Songs of Solomon and the Bhakti-rasa-amrta of Srila Rupa Goswami.  Is tha O.K?   You have to keep writing about this and talking to us and see that the work is going on.   It seems 87.332% we will be there as planned and 97.11% that any work we do will be published and even if we don't attend the seminar can go on with great enthusiasm.

HpS - AGTSP...      I don't really remember any new ones we did.  We just used the Sankhya ones and the LOB ones that we already had.    We did the "Bhaktivedanta Library, Overview of all 12-cantos and overview of 1st two cantos also."   I see the bvlibrary there.  I think they are all there.     We are learning about media.    We are acclaimed as Masters of Power Point by esteemed Directors.    O.K.   Even a Dog has his tail.        So we did japa-joes.pptx and that includes reference to japa-joe.doc.  Hmmm?  How does the combination work?   ?    ?

HpS - ASA - TlgaSP.    pfanrh.   Oink!   Oink!     Si!

Lamento!      Estupido!!!!     Mo No!

doubt regarding offence -from canto 4

10 years, 10 months ago by harsh_horse in Hot Topics

Hare krsna Maharaj, PAMHO, AGTSP
this question should have been either in chapter class or module review class, in BHVAI canto 4.

This is regarding offence of Surici against Dhruv Maharaj.

http://vedabase.com/en/sb/4/9/23 says "When Suruci insulted Dhruva Mahārāja, he was just a child. She of course did not know that Dhruva was a great recognized Vaiṣṇava, and so her offense was committed unknowingly. When one serves a Vaiṣṇava unknowingly, one still gets the good result, and if one unknowingly insults a Vaiṣṇava, one suffers the bad result."

But Surici offended him when Dhruv ji was not a vaisnava. What was the fault of Uttama, he was younger than Dhruv Maharaj, he did not even insult him.

we are asking this because every one is potential vaisnava. but he follow Ksatriya rules it is ok to insult opponent as a sport. so is it that all insult we have done to people would be treated as vaisnava apradh.

trying to run with small steps
dwarf

HpS - ASA -  AGTSP    paoho.   Hmmmm!     We guess that Dhruva Maharaja was a "vaisnava" right from the very beginning. As soon as he had information that the best way to solve his problems was to go to Visnu he accepted the offering with full determination. He could have thought, "No, that's to hard!  I will do it myself. I am more than the almighty God. I will corrupt my brother by starting with offering him chocolates. Haw!   Haw!   Hawww....".   So he took to Visnu worship, and he didn't know about love God as an option, no?   Did Narada Prabhu give him that option?

Yes, it seems that maybe we should not go to the Temple because there we might commit some unconscious offense to some one and if we stay in hell then we won't commit any Vaisnava aparada.  Ha!  Ha!  Hare!!!!                Guess, this is just the way it is.  What we want is at the Temple so we HAVE to go, but....  we have to be careful!           Then Uttam, brother.  Maybe he was guilty because he didn't protest the treatment of his brother.   Laksman, Bharata, they didn't tolerate the mistreatment of their Brother...   Hmmmm

news from Montreal

10 years, 10 months ago by Raulmontreal in Hot Topics

AGTSP !!

Please accept our humble obeisances

Dear Maharaja

It's been a while since I sent news, so here it goes (the abridged form to take as little of your precious time as possible)     We are chanting, reading SB, BTG, Iso, etc  got the Miracle on Second Ave. book also and finished in a week or so, pure nectar.

We also got the Radha-Damodara Vilasa II, Vishnujana Swami's lilas...just the first few pages got us pondering and tasting the nectar for weeks so that one will be finished in much longer time I beleive...began reading the CC Adi-lila also, well, that one will take a lifetime..

HpS - ASA - Jaya!!!   Adi-lila starts off with a lot of very Ontological descriptions of Lord Caitanya and is very concentrated intellectually. So, don't be discouraged to move ahead in CC.  Other parts you might find super, super essential with more pastimes to illustrate the philosophy.

We went to Toronto Temple for a week to coincide with Vaisesika prabhu's seminar, SB morning clases,  bhajan, etc etc.. very extatic.  we miss Toronto Temple, so much enthusiasm and warm hearts there..felt like home.

Krishna's mercy though has brough Bhakti Raghava Swami to a farm a couple of hours from Montreal so we are going whenever we get a lift...Nouvelle Vraja Bhumi, ahhh..   Krishna has once more saved us from certain spiritual death in Montreal...

Peru (Feb-March) was very nice also, summer, old pals and final farewells to Karmi passed there, etc.

Stayed close to the Chosica temple that we love and cherish very much (it was the first vedic architecture temple we ever saw and the first time we met Krishna back in 1990) chanted a lot of rounds there during our visit in March.

Now we are just hoping to stay for a few weeks or a month in Nouvelle Vraja Bhumi,  before our yearly visit to the states (Wash DC) to see mother and after that just run from here to Toronto in the winter so our bhakti lives and thrives.

We are thinking on moving to Toronto or Nouvelle Vraja Bhumi the only places around where we can survive as a devotee. Please we need your blessings, your mercy pulled us from inertia into fighting for saddhana.

you most fallen and humble servant

bhakta Raul

HpS - ASA - Jaya!   AgtSP!!!!    Thank you so much for the news.  Very enlivening...    Of course, the best way to keep association is to do service with devotees.  That does not require physical presence.  Try to increase that. One thing we do is to study with devotees even at a great distance!
