paoho

Did another 7 reports! Fighting fever from all the dust blowing in the wind in Manipur. Many people wear masks. Culture is incredible here. Gave class this morning. Told a lot of stories. Very simple, nice devotees here. Now in 33-minutes we start our NOI seminar. About 200-devotees will eventually come from all over the North East. We worked a lot on the NOI study guide and talked with Rama-gir-dhara Das about the NIOS/MOE calendar, and Dr. Samaresh ran his heart out to get the paper to the printer to get Siksa Darsha on line for 19th March release.

Hare Krsna!!!!

AgtASP Paoho. We are in Manipura. It is 2.08PM. We are only partially destroyed by mosquitos, malaria and dengue like flies. The weather is a little cold but nice. It is so remote here. More remote than Kolkata. If you are from Peru or California you cannot imagine how different it is here or in Kolkata. A different world.

We should be dead.

Maybe we are dead.

We started answering the Disciple Reports. We got like 7-done and the web-page won't post them. Happens for some time.

We will give NOI seminar here and go to one wedding and one university program.

Dr. Samaresh has almost published the next book, but got very dizzy from fatigue so had to wait one day. Now we take a quick bath and leave for Thoubal, the wedding, 1/2-hour from here. Is very different culture. We hope you all can come to Manipur next year. We should make a movie. Adventure/detective movie.

Hare Krsna.

Starting to get hot in India. Still not too many mosquitos. Temple is CROWDED on Sunday. Nava-yogendra Swami was supposed to give SB class today but he was sick so we were enlisted. Then we had to step into the car from the Vyasa-asana into the car, Kolkata traffic, and after dogging two pigs running we climbed six flights of stairs in the dark and came out on the roof where all the Book Distributors from all the Bhakta-vrksa Programs were assembled with a roaring Kirtan to get ENLIVENING INSTRUCTIONS from HpSwami about the Marathon.

He was terrified but Krsna gave a good class.

More fruit. Back in the Car. Back to the Temple. Bath, Gayatri, Lunch (Saved from Breakfast). World Classical Literature. Nap.

Worrying. Why is Prof. Samaresh not calling?!! We were supposed to see Sanjaya (the type-setter) today. No call. No call. Do mail. Listen to chaos of five Sunday Feast programs below.

Rtu-raja K Das cousin called. We gave his number..

Srinivasa Das called by accident. We were happy by accident. We talked for 30-minutes.

We ansered letters.

Prof. Called. Printer whome we met last night NEVER SENT THE QUOTE for printing Siksa Drsa tha he promised last night! No reason to travel today to see Sanjaya. Seems good. Too much.

Tomorrow the Gaudiya matha wants us for lunch, meet other printer, record interview with Professor, get signed contract with printer, go to paper supplier, go to see Sanjaya, ask PKD to check in for us and pay Rupees 200 for seat in rows 11-20. They board first.

Then return to Temple.

Ha! Ha! Three more years and we can retire in Radha-kunda?

Join us.

Now we go down for Arati.

AGTSP paoho. They are 4.08AM. In room 301 of the ISKCON Kolkata Guest house with Rtu-raja-krsna Das. Now we go to Mangala arati and then at 5.45AM the bus leaves for Mayapura. Every day we travel 1.5 hours in the taxi to work with Dr. Samaresh for NIOS.

Our laryngitis is rfeduced to 25% but still there with subtle fever. Maybe it will improve when we get into the country atmosphere of Mayapura.

Answered the letters marked URGENT and want to get to letter from Dhruva/Australia, Chaitanya caran Das and others.

Oink! Oink! Whoop! Whoop!

Hare Krsna, Hare Rama, Jaya Sri Vrndavana Dhama.

Here we are in the ISKCON Kolkata Guest House. We had a good Ministry of Education (MOE), North American Regional Representatives, meeting from 8.00-9.00AM. Our fever is almost gone, but our voice is still weak. The move from the Temple to the airport was fast, so we were in the airport for 3-hours before we flew to Kolkata. Slept well on the airplane. No one wanted to talk.

Purusottama Kesava Das and Pankaj met us and about 30-minutes to the Temple, bath, laundry soap, Gaura-arati, purchase a bit KRSNA book for this room, HOT MILK on the roof in the B'cari ashrama.

Some mosquitos.

Talked with Dr. Samaresh.

Now some world classical literature an take rest.

We should do the Kapi-Dhavaja but the travel has been exhausting.

Hare Krsna, Hare Rama!

Hare Krsna, Hare Rama!

The Holy Names are a gift of Gaura-Nityananda, Narottama Das Thakura, Srila Prabhupada. If we take Them we can find an eternal place in Vrndavana under the shelter of the Manjaris.

Hare Krsna,

1.54 AM... AGTSP Paoho Our second day in ISKCON Delhi. Up at 12.30 AM, chanted two rounds. aswered important mail and read from KRSNA Enters Mathura! Roses and narcissus!

3.06AM ... R(10). Slow chanting with no voice. Go challenge. No voice at the time of death. Practice for passing that examination, Death. After that Diploma, there are others.

"Contributing or distributing the holy name of the Lord is a sublime example of contributing or giving charity (the dadäti principle). By the same token, one must also follow the pratigåhëäti principle and be willing and ready to receive the transcendental gift. ", NOI 4. So, if you are chanting you are offering the best thing to others. If you want to increase your Book Distribution, chant mo' rounds bettah.

Time for 6-minute nap and then Bath-Kirtan, Puja, go to Partha-sarathi Temple.

11.45AM - R(16)... Voice a little recoverd. Rest. Rest. Rest. We have to find tasks that do not require thinking or personal contact with people much more in the bodily concept of life than us (Haw! Haw!). This is like gardening, ironing clothes, going for walks. Just one class a day (every day) is intense.

The Art of Living. Do you have a PhD in The Art of Living? Bhava.... (Goals and 'practical' work follow automatically from the proper consciousness (bhava [buddhi]).

12.15PM - We answered as many letters as we could. Our eyes are starting to get strained. Now we have to bathe and shave (once every two weeks). One b'cari, Aditya narayana (and others) is assigned to help us. He is great guy. He got razor etc for us. We wash our clothes in the morning when we bathe (with Tungavidaya DD soap) but he irons them.

We posted some of the answers in the lettes to the ASA Encyclopdia. Seems like a project that might just work.

12.21PM - Whatsapp to Atul - The work in Pune was one of the highlights in my life to that time. Next Braja and we gave a two hour class for Adi-P in the VIHE.    I think this God-father Diploma might really be a good tool. It would be for giving Bhakti-sarva bhauma one time. We could get all the Senior Devotees on board eg. Roma-pada Swami, Vaisesika. Das. They could be assigned specific chapters to work on. We could get a general idea of what the character requirements etc. are for the diploma, generate good start of essay questions, standard slokas, short answer questions, and show off to the world the excellent academic quality of devotees in ISKCON. What do you think? We would be glad to work on NOI to Bh. Sarva level and Canto One + Two of Srimad Bhagavatam. It would include the work for the previous titles.

3.42AM (Monday) - Hare Krsna! We should have posted this last night but forgot. Didn't make it a priority, but Daily Sankirtan Reports, after everything, are essential.

Aditya Narayana Das brought some Maha-prasad. We wanted to take with the devotees, B'caris but not possible. We honored some nicely, napped, recovered our voice, answered and sent mail, went to Gaura-arati and danced ... one two three, and met Yuddhisthira Das and his daughter Kalindi from Ecuador. Back to Room 4 and Yuddhisthira Govinda Das was here. We discussed NIOS stuff with excellent results and then hot milk and Krsna book etc.

Up at about 1.15AM, voice better but little fever in the box.

O.K. Japa. Blog, Whatsapp, ASA-Encyclopedia and now Bath-kirtan.

We missed M. Urmilla Devi Dasi's class yesterday!
