Hare Krsna! HpS is doing pretty well! TB and BW here. We are just now running for final packing before we leave for the airport at 8PM for the flight at 11.55PM. We finally had a little time to answer letters. When we are so much involved in immediate activities, classes, curriculum development, counseling devotees, there is no night to contemplate plans. In life´s rhythm that should be coming in few more months.

O.K. See you in Lima. Unless the plane falls in the Atlantic Ocean.

HpS - Once these trips start it is very difficult to communicate!! Now that we are in Madird for three nights we have brief rest from Temple activities and preaching work! Now we have a little time to answer letters. Are you still walking. For the first time, we experienced real weakness in our knees in ascending the five stories to our room in the Noida temple.

Old age seems to be just a collection of diseases that don´t go away. Then there is death and the body is recycled so that the elements can be used in new bodies.

We will see you in Lima??? For sure Chile! Yes, songs are insuperable way to spread Krsna consciousness.

5.15.3 says

"If one rigidly observes the regulative principle of chanting sixteen rounds of the mahā-mantra every day, his dealings with the material world for the sake of spreading the Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement are not different from the spiritual cultivation of Kṛṣṇa consciousness."

HpS - ASA - It was very nice to get your association in Delhi, Noida. It was such a short "busness" trip that we did not have much time to associate with anyone on more brahminical terms. Please don´t give up on us!

In terms of your question our first thought is what we heard ine time from a lecture of something that Srila Prabhupada said that following these rituals of vaidhi bhakti are like the marriage ceremony. It is a formality. The marriage has already been arranged before the ceremony, but it is not without meaning. If the rituals are dictated by an Acharya according to time, place and circumstance they are the practical application of the general principles found in the Vedas, and beyond that there is the aspect of this standard being the contract between us and Krsna by the media of the Acharya. Even if following the rituals has some defect, it is the standard established by our Master and He will adjust for any mistakes.

There are three ways to do things! The right way, the wrong way and the ISKCON way!!

My name is Kunti Mohan. I believe I last ran into you at the Bhagavatam class you gave in Boise Idaho this past year. I thought it was really great. I just wanted to offer my sincere apologies if I came across arrogant in any way when I was wondering how psychologists and the field of psychology had to do with bhakti. I realize as you include in your posts, that many bhaktas have many different preaching engagements that reach out to different levels of people with different compositions. I sincerely apologize and I hope you are able to forgive me for my lack of understanding. I see the great benefit in reaching out to all types of intelligences and helping them to surrender by their intelligence to Sri Krishna, Guru ,Sadhu ,and Sastra. I also appreciated how you spoke in the class how the Bhagavatam details all the mental, mind ways people are entangled and the pathway out of that which is detailed in the Srimad Bhgavatam. Thank you so much for all your Inspiration and Seva to everyone. Most sincere all glories to you.

HpS - Thank you for your letter, Prabhu. We don´t remember the event, so I guess we can smile and say it was not a great trama for us. It is correct though that we have to be careful that we do not become like the people we reach out to if they are not pure devotees!

It's been a while since i last wrote. Good things develop both internally and in the family, but in this case i feel the need to share about my practical service.

Yesterday i've organized our third bi-annual kirtan event, which was received with joyful and satisfied response. We had about fifty people this time, a steady increase. A team is starting to form and for our next event we work on establishing this more solidly.

I consider this my offering to you and Srila Prabhupada, to organize this facility for community building and devotee cooperation and the chanting of the Mahamantra. Especially the time prior is very enlivening and spiritually saturated. Since i'm not in the high speed lane of vaidhi sadhana bhakti, this is very much appreciated.

I pray this meets you well.

HpS - Jaya! As we read this we are in your neigborhood, Spain. How long is the Kirtan event? Different people lead? For how long each one? Is it only Maha-mantra? Do you match it with a specific holiday???
