Urgent: Conversation with political and social leaders.

5 years, 11 months ago by bhaktanicasio in Sankirtana / Temple Activity Reports

The meeting was attended by the international reference of the Vaisnava tradition, Professor Huber Robinson (Hanumatpresaka Swami), who shared a table with the candidate for Mayor Santiago Bonifatti, and the candidates of Federal Consensus Pablo Zelaya Blanco, Sofía Ardusso, Hugo Juárez and Paula Hourcades as community leaders who work in collective contexts and participate in different political spaces.

Bonifatti highlighted this meeting as “a unique opportunity to share experiences and opinions with people who work with young people, with children, in other political parties and mainly with people from other religions such as Catholic, Evangelical and Hinduism. Politics must meet the spiritual gaze, it is a necessity because it is something that crosses us beyond the religion that each one professes. I celebrate that we can reflect on Education and the Sacred in an election year where the priorities that each candidate has are precisely manifested. For us this is very important. ”

Professor Huber Robinson also said: “Understanding the sacred capturing the sacred is the ultimate purpose of education. From the point of view of the Vedic culture, a traditional Asian culture, this world is a madhouse, and this is also commented by other religions. So religion means "religare," like the ligament of one hand, to reconnect; Yoga is the same, reconnect. So education, Socrates said the same thing, means waking up to our sacred nature, where things really have a personal and also cosmic meaning. ”

This event was covered by media and shared in social media.

Urgent: Conference about "Educacion y lo Sagrado" at faculty of Psychology

5 years, 11 months ago by bhaktanicasio in Sankirtana / Temple Activity Reports

In this conference Professor Huber Robinson (His Holiness Hanumatpresaka Swami) was in a conversation with Susana Violante, PhD in philosophy and Carlos Hudson, history professor, member of the intercultural and health chair of the Higher School of Medicine. The same was a success since at least thirty people attended, very much due to the moment the year before the winter break and the sociopolitical university environment, reluctant to address spiritual issues.

Professor Huber Robinson made a presentation about Science, a new direction, citing great scientists, Nobel prizes, about his approach to the sacred as an inescapable path, in the search for knowledge. His debate partners greatly appreciated it.

Dr. Violante made a presentation based on the invitation to talk about how the current paradigm leads the world to different types of chaos, social, economic, ecological, etc. Professor Husdon made his contributions from history, greatly appreciating the possibility of discussing these issues at the University level.

The event concluded with a snack of prasadam and informal discussions in the anteroom of the event hall.

Hare Krishna maharaja,

Pamho, agtsp.

Thank you for your patience, and thank you for your replies to my letters.

Your point about all philosophy comes from a person is brilliant. I have heard you say it before. But the impact is even bigger when it hits close to home.

The wonderful thing about Krishna Consciousness is that, as we go through different stages, dealing with different impurities in our motivation and consciousness, the Good Lord arranges many things synergistically for our benefit. Two days ago, I heard this wonderful class by Srila Prabhupada, delivered on the 3rd December 1975, in which he completely dismantles māyāvādism. He said (paraphrasing)...

"You love your home because you live in it. You love your body because you live in it; you love yourself - the soul. And, who is the source of your soul? Vishnu, Krishna... mamaivamsa Jiva loke jiva bhuta sanatanah (BG 15.7)... Just like Dhruva maharaja, he wanted so many material things, but when he found the source of everything, when he saw Vishnu, he only wanted to serve Him with love. We do not want to merge with our source, we want to serve. When the child cries for mother, when he finds his mother, he does not want to climb back in the womb. No, the child cries for his mother because he wants to have loving exchanges with his her."

Jai Srila Prabhupada!!! Jai HHHPS!!!

Dr Mabbett

As mentioned in previous letter, Dr. Mabbett and I are scheduled to meet 9th August. I will keep you posted as that develops.

India October

My (big) little birdie said now's not the time. More time working on qualification is necessary. So, I will not come to India in October. I really look forward to someday being qualified to meet with you in Vrindavan again, maharaja. Please continue to guide me so that I too can sit at the table with Jesus.

Gotommeeting

I enjoy participating live in the classes... such elevated sanga... But they are very late for me (10:30pm) and, therefore, maybe, my participation is with rajasic and tamasic tones. The recordings are better suited for a person of my qualification, who is too fallen to even enter the temple, yet. Please keep posting the recordings on twitter. Your classes are my caitanya (living force).

Hare Krishna!

Your servant

Dhruvānanda (from down under) Das

HpS - Jaya!!! Hari Bolo! Hari Bolo! How is the Japa Mala. Do you knead your beads, feed your beads and wear them around your kneck all day so they can do great deeds?
