By order of Karuna Krsna prabhu I send you this report commenting that we have had our first meeting with him and Yugala Kisora ​​dd. to address the education issues for the temple of Chosica. Here the details:

• At the moment, the designation of prabhu Karuna Krsna as national education coordinator has not been made so we are only working at ISKCON Chosica level. In that sense, the temple administration and its educational program are independent of ISKCON Lima.
• The first topic that has been discussed has been the Sunday school. At the moment it is not working because the parents are not taking the children to the temple. Since a few weeks, no free prasadam is being distributed, so many families are going to the temple after lunch, at best. Some possibilities are being considered such as giving free prasadam to children or making some adaptations to activities to make them more attractive to children and their parents.
• On the other hand, we are looking for some ways to improve existing educational programs, for this we have to make an evaluation and convince current teachers to improve a higher educational standard as necessary. Some pedagogical techniques can be included, among them is considered the need to prepare a workbook for students and another for teachers, so that the contents are better structured than at present. 
  HpS ASA -  What are the "existing programs"?
• It is intended to extend the educational concept to a model that not only cultivates the academic (sastrical), but also formative (character and behavior) aspects. To do this, we are working with the Danavir Swami manual, Fortunate Souls, which I was asked to summarize. Then we will see how this content is included in existing courses or how it is articulated as an independent course.
• Finally, a small temple education committee has been set up as follows: Karuna Krsna dasa (program director), Gandharva dasa (pedagogical advisor / secretary), Yugala Kisora ​​dd. (Educational promoter). For the moment, we will be meeting once a month. We will be reporting on our progress with the same frequency Gurumaharaja.

Please accept my humble obeisances unto Guruji’s padmacharan that I am so so much happy to get Guruji’s amritavani in such a quick reply during the busy period of international tour.

When writing letter of the programme I have mist replying Guruji’s question of Bhakti Rasamrta Sindhu : The part is Eastern Section, Second Wave : Sadhana-bhakti 1:2:148 discussed about Guna Kirtana (S.B. 1.5.22). Bhakti as the goal of Karma. Yes it is a very intense but so many rewferences from S.B. 10 & 12 Cantos, Puranas, Vedas, Visnu-rahasya, C.Caritamrta, etc. In the Manimandir, Imphal ISKCON enough copies of NOI (Manipuri) so we need not to print new copies.

 HpS - Very nice.   There is a book, "Waves of Devotion", by Dhanurdara Swami that relates Srila Prabhupada's Nectar of Devotion and to BRS section by section. That allows very practical elucidation of the content. Maybe Haridad Das can get a copy.

Dear Guru Maharaj,

We had a detailed discussion with Haridas Swami , Yamuneswara Prabhu and Nandalal Prabhu today at Manimandir. There was a slight miscommunication yesterday as I had to rush to my workplace just after the SB class. Today we sorted out everything and we would like  to slightly modify the programme if Maharaj would permit us to do so. We had not included the NOI workshop as suggested by Guru Maharaj. We would like to fit the workshop with recordings, comment , questions etc . as part of the temple programme.

Would it be possible for Maharaj to stay at Manimandir on 1st and 2nd Nov? That way it would be easier for Guru Maharaj to conduct the external programme as suggested by Prof Samaresh. Personally requested Prof Samresh to visit Manipur during this time. Otherwise as per the programme submitted yesterday, we would have to shuttle long distances daily from Thoubal to Imphal and that would be very inconvenient.

HpS - I was thinking the same thing, but thought that maybe the university contact was in Thoubal the Glorious.

The topic decided with Prof Samresh remains the same....we would like to screen the movie at our hospital after the lecture. But that would be possible only after 4pm, not at 2pm. So probably, we might have to change the timings. Will call up Prof Samresh today.  

Yamuneshwar Prabhu will send the modified programme as soon as possible.

          From 4.00 Nagar Kirtan (for one hour) and Food for All (Distribution on the street).

HpS - Wonderful. Let us do all the SB classes on Light of the Bhagavata. Do you have it in Manipuri language?  It is Chapter Twenty of SB: http://www.vedabase.com/en/lob.

If not available in Manipuri language maybe we can start to print it with pictures. We have the funds.

Many times in your Blog we have  seen you being asking ed questions, esp regarding marriage, that how ones reading and chanting can be increased by marriage that's the question one should ask.

I am sorry i did not know about this criteria for married life. The onlt criteria I knew from Srila Prabhupada "one should not be bachelor dady" and second criteria from Indian mindest "alone son should get married". we did not know about Gopal Bhatt goswami even then.

These days I feel when I am away from my wife esp my reading and chanting can be increased.  So  does it mean that i should stay away, as  very difficult to get whole family integrated , then disciplined etc.

HpS - ASA --- AGTSP!   Paoho.  Someplace in BG and other places Srila Prabhupada says that one should sit with family morning and evening and chant HK/HR and read from spritual books together. If this can be done then there is no need to renounce family life. So we suggest that you maintain this program. Offer it to your family and then report on the results of the experience.

Does anyone know the status of the Sri Sri Radha Nilamadhava Temple?  Is there flooding ?  Their live streaming and blog are off line.  Does any one know if devotees need assistance ?  I am hesitant to call devotees in the event that they have limited phone batteries.

We are in pretty constant touch with them. Where the Temple is only one house had like ankle deep water. They moved up the street. The rest is O.K. Power was out for a little while but we got a text message yesterday, "The sun is out".
We are catching up on the mail. Always look for news from our Capitol Corridor Correspondents.
