Thank you so much for your learned and (dare I say it) entertaining classes on E-sanga! They're a joy to listen to. Spiritual education can be fun!

Our dear Godbrother Yogesvara Prabhu asked me if I knew of a highly qualified devotee translator who could render "Swami in a Strange Land" into Spanish.

Yogesvara Prabhu is willing and able to pay for that service. The fee is negotiable.

Because of your extensive travels in the Spanish-speaking world, I wanted to reach out to see if you knew anyone who might be qualified and interested in doing this work.

Yes, we have some very qualified speakers, narrators, in the Spanish world. Have you sent this letter to any other Latin American Dudes?   We can post it to the Latin American GBC forum which is quite active.

For your pleasure - we had a blissful Janmashtami here at ISKCON Richmond and get to serve more than 1800 guests of Srila Prabhupada. Hundreds of books were distributed and more than 1800 people honored Krishna Prasadam.

We, on behalf of Richmond Yatra Devotees, would like to humbly request you to visit us and give us opportunity again to hear and chant in your association. Maharaj, please let us know what dates works for you best and we can plan accordingly. Thank you very much.

We had about 20-devotees and served about 25-plates of Prasada, but was very nice program.

We were in 26-airports from 1 June to 1 August. Programs in National Libraries with National Poet Laureattes etc!!!

Our voice was 90% dead when we got back. Now, after resting for three weeks our energy has returned about 77%!   Tomorrow we go back to Houston for Ministry of Education and Bhakti-vaibhava work for one week. Then back here to Nashville until 27th September >>>>  India (Australia) until the 11th Nov.

Really think we should sit still until we go to India, but when we return, November - March we can plan to visit Bhaga-giri (Rich Mound).

O.K???

As for H.H Haridas Maharaj, we are expecting him just before Radha Astami. We discussed with Banamali Prabhu and we are already planning the programmes for Guru Maharaj.

In fact, if only Guru Maharaj would agree we would like to have your holy presence for a longer period of time here. Once we sort things with Dr. Samresh I hope we can do better planning. How do I contact him Guru Maharaj? Besides the email of course.

Can we have a japa retreat at Kakching, the place donated to ISKCON recently.....?

We can do a wonderful program. Put Manipur at the lead of ISKCON Yatras!

Would like to stay longer this time . but . you see how tight it is also for Mayapur and Kolkata.

We are sitting on the floor of the living room/dinning room of our mobile home in the Boro. It is 82-degrees outside of this room, but we have a little portable air-conditioner working here.

Oink!

We keep remembering over and over again that this is just a movie, a stage show where we are using puppets to talk to each other and not looking at each other really.

All kind of like a madhouse.

If we really saw each other, at least talking for us, then we would see such selfish, cruel, people.   In Srila Prabhupada's shadow we can keep physical and mental gentleness.

Today is Ekadasi.   Doesn't matter too much to us.  We are trying to only eat fruit, milk, carrots, nuts every day.  Potatoes on Sunday.

If we eat beans and grains they go more to our stomach and then we "think" from our stomach. Seems better at this point to think from our heart, Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna.

We think of so many devotees, M. Palika and Caturatma for example, and how nice they are. They have no reason to be nice. They are intelligent. They could be competitive and materialistic, but they chose to be devotees. To really see if they are pleasing Krsna, as they have heard about Him from Srila Prabhupada.

We had an extremely shocking dream last night. We were like someplace in Vrndavana and there was one Mataji, younger devotee, 26-32, with everyone and she was talking about something and then she went into this like lament, "Oh, Radharani, my Mistress, when will you give up this cruel separation from You and let me serve you again! Let me come back to you again!"

It was really heart rending. We are coming apart at the seams just remembering it.

Krsna is the property of Radharani, because She serves Him with Her last ounce of strength, but She is not selfish. She shares Him with Her friends, arranges that they can walk with Him, joke and play with Him personally. Of course, it is very intense and they may only want 15-seconds of that once a year, but She is not selfish.

Is that where we belong?

Are we meant for Vaikuntha, Ayodhya, Mathura?

All these places are just expansions of Vrndavana. Perspectives for the improvement of Vrndavana.   They are best with some of that perspective.      You think Vrndavana is a very old place?  No, it has just started. No, none even knows what to do there yet. Just started.  Oh, yes, there is a bigger world but Vrjabasis just forget about that. Vrndavana is like a little village, town, in the middle of a great forest with one road coming in and then going out. Sometimes people come down the road, but in general, Vrajavasis just forget about the rest of the world because they have so many problems and preoccupations in their own world.

6.11PM - NGD just called. He is going to the program at Vijaya Ji's home tonight. It will be in Hindi, Radha-ramana Swami is here for three nights. We walked together for weeks on the Braja-mandal Parikrama everyone year.   You get to know people in that experience.

We asked him and Mataji to pick us up at 6.45PM. We can sit in the class and also go on the porch and do FEP in English.

O.K. Pack up and some Japa!

The Holy Names, The Holy Names, if you don't know what to do then just chant the Names, then you will get all good advice about how to get the greatest gain.

I want to thank you for coming, always incomparable, fills us with enthusiasm and looking your complete dedication to Srila Prabhupada's service, inspires us tremendously.  How are you Gurudeva?

HpS - Well enough to chant our rounds!!

We are very worried about those cramps.

HpS - We have an agreement with our stomach that it will get better if don't overindulge in milk sweets.

We would love to be able to visit you some day.

HpS - How is that???  We are visiting right now!

I will try to be brief (I am very happy)

House and plans: We moved to Chorrillos, it is near to the sea, is nice and quiet. We are starting to plan to have an atelier [altar?] with Gandharva, to begin with the Hare Krishna crafts that Gandharva told you, we want to be able to work at home in an activity that keeps us connected with the pastimes of our beloved Sri Krishna.

HpS - Srila Prabhupada said that we could maintain ourselves with devotional paraphernalia. Peru is especially good for that. Start with small ideas and test the market. What things are you thinking of making??

Attention to His Lordships:  I will like to comb Subhadra's hair, in a braid as the temple deity, so, our dear Deity have not hair, but I know how to make small wigs of embroidery threads (soft cotton threads), is it okay if I make one to Subhadra? Do you allow me to do that?

HpS -  Hmmm?   I don't know. Never heard of that before, but we do put clothes on them, crowns, also it is for your home deities not institutional deities.        O.K.  Try it and see if She likes it!

And Gurudeva, why we should not worship the deitys of a solar eclipse?

HpS - I don't know the details. I think it is because the influence of Rahu and Ketu is very prominent. It is like the pregnancy of Diti in the evening - bad time to get a child.

About regulatory principles-studies: We are following the 4 principles, singing 16 rounds daily. We are trying to get up every day for Mangalartik. In winter I always have difficulty doing it every day, but every time we do it more often, there are ups and downs, but we continue to strive. We are taking Bhakti-sastri with Prabhu Laksmana, I must confess that I have neglected my studies, I strongly wish to resume my reading habits.

Improving the Japa: thanks to Gandharva prabhu, I discovered that sometimes I chant omitting 2 Krishnas, or the Hare of the end. So, To correct it now I sing reading the Maha Mantra. I would like to chant with a better attitude.

Service in Wilson: 

-We are doing pujari service 2 Sunday a month (I LOVE to dress and adorn Them very much!)

-We will take care of the general prasadam one Saturday per month.

-Nitya Kishori and I, cooked cupcakes, cookies, and other sweets for the festivals.

And we also have talked with the authorities because we want to commit ourselves in more service, so we will support Jagat Pavitram Prabhu  in the Saturday program, want to stay in the temple for Mangalartik on Sundays. 

Preaching Plans: We (Gandharva, Nitya Kishori and I) are organizing meetings with friends (in houses), to talk about different topics from the perspective of Bg and SB, themes such as happiness, spirituality, body and soul are themes that attracts to many people. Gandharva gives the talk. Also we give them prasadam. People like to share their point of view and their experiences. We try to make them feel very comfortable and give them support (Some go through cancer experiences) We are surprised to see how many people are looking hard to get more awareness.

HpS - Jaya!  They then tell their friends about the englightenment they get and they come to ask questions.   Complete Sankirtan. Nothing else needs to be done.
