PAMHO,

Maharaja, a desire in my heart is getting bigger: I would like to create (i.e cast or carve wooden) deities and then ask Krishna for reside in my home in arca form, but I don´t really know if this is appropiate. I chant 16 rounds since December 2018. I live with my wife and son (one year old) and We are trying to practice Krishna consciousness at home (Santiago de Chile). These are the questions:

1.- Is appropiate for me to create deities? Why?

2.- If the previous question has affirmative answer, then I would like to know if sastra says something about proportions, forms, materials, etc. Data for the ways of fabrication (if it can be called like that).

3.- Why is it said that different deities have different percentages of mercy, for instance, Goura-Nitay 100% but other lower levels, at the end is the same Krishna with different companion and forms, isn't he?

4.- Home deities should be installed in some way as temple deities?

5.- What's the difference with temple and home deities?

Guru Maharaja, you asked if I had read Journey to the West. I had not, but have started reading an abridged (~500 page) version called 'The Monkey and the Monk' by an author named Anthony C. Yu. His version seems to be the most widely recommended. I am currently reading it before Krishna Book before bed. I intend to read Mr. Yu's full translation once I have finished this abridged version.

I do not need a reply, but I wanted to answer your question.

HpS - Thank you! We got the full version on our Kindle reader. The introduction is super in terms of understanding Chinese religious history and current world view. It is long and we just got to the story. We read it before, maybe twice, over many years, but now our comprehension will be much deeprer.

Dear Maharaj, thank you for being that pillar in our life that gives stability, security, ability to breathe, sleep and even live in the most turbulent times, when no one or nothing else can. Such is your grace, saints like you selflessly live for others. You keep yourself pure so others can find some solace and relief from material miseries. Thank you for your kind and most valuable association which we do not deserve. It is Krsna's causeless mercy, for probably the sins we have performed, we may not deserve anything good. Yet He is so merciful, He has given so much love and affection through His dear devotees. Relationships with whom, I realize is the most important possession without which one is unfortunate, and very poor. Hence having spiritual relationships like with you is the actual wealth of the soul. Nothing of this world can equal or surpass this sustainence, without which material nature will factually render us insane. I'm going through a difficult time, but I pray that when this phase ends, I never ever forget this one thing I have in my life from the spiritual world. My sadhana: able to chant 16rounds, some hearing, working on improving reading and morning program (really a struggle when living with my husband).

Someone messaged us a few days ago asking to make online videos for basic dance training videos for children 7-12. Any guidance on this subject how to give them some Krsna consciousness through educational dance training (maybe some theatre, yoga, dance steps etc as well)? Is this something I should pursue? Thank you!

HpS - ASA --- AGTSP!!! We don't have any real ideas about the dance videos. We worked with Ranganiketana, Manupuri Dance Theater for many years, but only thing I might think of specifically is "Improvisation for the Theater" by Viola Spolin. It is one of the most useful books in the world.

I think that probably you know more than us.

Krsna is in control. He gives us free will, but if we have even a little energy to be His friend again, then He sends an Acharya!!

HpS - It was so, so nice to join the program. In Whatsapp we sent the info for sending checks to NIOS. We hope we can use them for nice Sankirtan. Nice movies on the internet abut Krsna. Putting SB into modern circumstances.

Bhisma, Arjuna, Karna they can be flying in Huey Apache helicopters.

Some drama, same super weapons, but totally real in modern eye! So much to do.

Srila Prabhupada gave us the books. We can use them as a base to make the movies.

I told Bh. Caru Swami that many years ago and he said that he had come to the same conclusion!

HpS - Only death is good. Then real life can start, unless we use the things in this world to preach ie. lead people to die.

I have been very saddened by the departure of Bhakti Charu Swami, I had his indirect association on a few occasions in Spain and India, and much for his classes. It has been one of my references to advance within Krsna consciousness. There are people with a sweetness in their personality that surprise me a lot, a little like milk is surprised by oil.

I have no doubt that he is with Krsna, Prabhupada and all the rock. I am almost certain that in a little while he will return to care for the devotees, and preach.

I would like to tell you about an experience that I have had in relation to the departure of Maharaja, I am sure it is because I know that he was very critical for days, but even so I really liked the experience.

Perhaps, by singing a few rounds for Him, and the austerity of a full fast in ekadasi honored for His pleasure, perhaps, my subconscious was very sensitive to His person.

The day he left, like an hour or two before I knew anything about his death, I think I was singing a few rounds, I think the mid-day rounds, I could see him in my heart and in my mind, in the rounds, and I greeting and said goodbye to him. Tears came out of my eyes remembering with him good moments in Malaga and Mayapur, he was also very excited and surprised, I imagine that because of the affection I felt for him. I guess he didn't expect it ... When we said goodbye, I gave him dandavats and pranamas, and when I touched his feet and put dust on my head from the path of his feet, I started to jump like a monkey and I ran in the opposite direction, chanting Hare Krsna. I think he was very surprised to see a devotee go into mental ecstasy thinking about the dust on his lotus feet.

A few hours later I saw that he had passed away, and I wondered if he was saying hello to everyone on his farewell journey.

HpS - When the sun rises it smiles on everyone!

I hope he is very happy in his future service. It makes me a little envious, good, to think how he is enjoying the fruits of his intense devotional service to his Gurudeva, Prabhupada, and Radha Krsna.

He is a person who makes my heart softer and softer.

I hope you have a very good day, especially this auspicious day of the Guru.
