CONTEST FOR THE DESIGN OF THE LOGO –SOLARIS MAGAZINE

Introduction:

The main reason that encourages us to make this publishing project a reality, is that as human beings, we have the ability to develop a level of consciousness higher than the prevailing paradigm, which does not deal with such essential topics as: who am I ?, What is death ?, What is the purpose of life ?, What are the highest achievable aspirations? From this rostrum we hope to help explain these issues.

The vast majority of media that circulates only report material comfort, and they, morbidly emphasize violence, death, social and individual frustrations. Through Solaris we will present reflections that will reveal that all that unhappiness is not only caused by political, social and economic problems, but also the reflection of a world in which the mind and heart of most people support only in worldly values, despising spiritual values.

The name SOLARIS is due to in all classical cultures the sun represents or has been connected with the life, light and wisdom (he is associated as cause motive or reason). Also for its algorithmic sense because in the same way that the rotation of the sun indicates that a day has ended and another is about to begin, in the same way, in SOLARIS we propose to take advantage of the wisdom of the past, not live blindly in the present and build a better future for all, ergo, our aim is to rediscover and tackle, with honesty and sustained knowledge the mystery of: where are we going?

Competition Rules

1. The logo design is intended to be the representative image of the magazine for its publication and all dissemination of its information (print, video, web page, etc.).
2.  The logo must represent the direction of the magazine (stated in the introduction) and its reflexive and diffusing nature of the eigenvalues as a tool for cultivation of the human spirit.
3. Contestants may participate personally or collectively. Participation in the contest implies acceptance of these rules in all respects.
4. The design is original and unpublished and may be single color, bicolor, tricolor or full color.
5. The proposals must be sent to this e-mail: [email protected]. The designs will be delivered in JPG or PDF format on A4 size and good resolution (at least 300 dots per inch).
6.  Deadline for sending the logo is on December 21st, 2015.
7. The jury is comprised of: • SS Hanumatpresaka Swami, General Secretary of NIOS • Ramón Mujica Pinilla, National Director of the National Library of Peru • Juan Pedro Egoavil trigos, outstanding teacher, professor at the National Fine Arts School of Peru.
8. The winner will be awarded with a collection of three books by AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada: The Bhagavad-gita, The Light of the Bhagavata and the Nectar of instruction, all autographed by the jury.
9. The winning logo is exclusive and permanent property of the journal, which will have complete freedom to use whole or in part or to modify it in the time and manner it deems necessary. It is therefore required that once the person is winning the contest give the computer version of the logo made with the original application that was designed selected.

CONCURSO PARA EL DISEÑO DEL LOGOTIPO DE LA REVISTA SOLARIS

Introducción:

El principal motivo que nos anima a convertir este proyecto editorial en una realidad, es que, como seres humanos, tenemos la capacidad de desarrollar un nivel de conciencia más elevado que el paradigma predominante, el cual no se ocupa de tópicos tan esenciales como: ¿Quién soy?, ¿Qué es la muerte?, ¿Cuál es el propósito de la vida?, ¿Cuáles son las más elevadas aspiraciones alcanzables? Desde esta tribuna esperamos ayudar a explicar estos temas.

La gran mayoría de medios que circulan solo informan del confort material, y ellos, morbosamente enfatizan la violencia, la muerte y las frustraciones sociales e individuales. A través de Solaris presentaremos reflexiones que nos revelarán que toda esa infelicidad no sólo es causada por problemas políticos, sociales y económicos, sino que también es el reflejo de un mundo en el cual la mente y el corazón de la mayoría de las personas se sustentan solo en valores mundanos, menospreciando los valores espirituales. 

El nombre SOLARIS se debe a que en todas las culturas clásicas el sol representa o ha estado conectado con la vida, la luz y la sabiduría (se le relaciona como causa motivo o razón).  También por su sentido algorítmico ya que de la misma forma que la rotación del sol indica que un día ha concluido y otro está por iniciarse, similarmente, en SOLARIS proponemos tomar ventaja de la sabiduría del pasado, para no vivir ciegamente en el presente y  construir un futuro mejor para todos, es decir, nuestra finalidad es redescubrirnos y tratar de resolver, con honestidad y conocimiento sustentado, el misterio de: ¿a dónde vamos?

Bases

1. El Diseño del logotipo está destinado a ser la imagen representativa de la revista para su publicación y toda difusión de información sobre la misma (Impresos, videos, página web, etc).
2. El logotipo deberá representar el sentido de la revista (expuesto en la introducción) y su naturaleza reflexiva y difusora de los valores propios como herramienta para el cultivo del espíritu humano.
3. Los concursantes podrán participar de manera personal o colectiva. La participación en el concurso presupone la aceptación de las presentes bases en todos sus términos.
4. El diseño será original e inédito y puede ser mono color, bicolor, tricolor o a todo color.
5. Las propuestas se enviarán al e-mail: [email protected].  Los diseños se entregaran en formato JPG o PDF en tamaño A4 y en buena resolución (mínimo 300 puntos por pulgada).
6. Plazo de entrega: la fecha límite para el envío del logotipo es el 21 de diciembre de 2015.
7. El jurado calificador está conformado por: • SS Hanumatpresaka Swami, Secretario General de NIOS • Ramón Mujica Pinilla, Director Nacional de la Biblioteca Nacional del Perú • Juan Pedro Egoavil Trigos, maestro destacado, catedrático de la Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes del Perú.
8. El ganador obtendrá como premio una colección de tres libros de A.C Bhaktivedanta Swami, Srila Prabhupada: El Bhagavad-gita, La Luz del Bhagavata y el Néctar de la instrucción, todos autografiados por el jurado.
9. El logotipo premiado quedará en propiedad exclusiva y permanente de la revista, que tendrá completa libertad para utilizarlo total o parcialmente o para modificarlo en el momento y la forma en que lo considere necesario. Por ello es requisito que una vez seleccionada la persona que resulte ganadora del concurso entregue la versión informática del logotipo hecho con la aplicación original con la que diseñó.

Hare Krishna Gurudeva,  please accept my respectful obeisances All glories to Srila Prabhupada. GM thanks for your company and protection, I feel very lucky to have their refuge though still I try to transform into a true disciple.

HpS - ASA -- We feel that we are just something like Sargeants in Srila Prabhupada's army. Sometimes it becomes too tough, beyone our strength, courage, sincerity and so we try to not create problems, engage in stupid things in the minimal way, and then as soon as any opportunity to make progress comes, we take it.

Cuando regrese en el mes de Julio de Austria, regrese al departamento en el que vivo con las matayis y  fue cuando nos conocimos, él vive en el departamento 7 y nosotras en el departamento 3.  Al principio una devota llamada Alaksya fue niñera durante seis meses de las niñas, ahora la niñera es mi compañera de cuarto Ekanta. 

When I return from Austria, come to the apartment where I live with the matayis and than we first met, he lives in the department 7 and me in the department 3. In this time Matayi Alaksya dd was the  nanny to the girls for six months, now the new nanny is my roommate Ekanta dd.

He is contractor and has contracts for like six months, has been a year in Mexico and his desire is live in Mexico, he speaks Spanish and girls also, in fact the girls not speak Russian. The girls' mother lives in Russia and divorced three years ago, she have now a new relation there. He was very respectful, has met my parents and asked them permission to meet me, my parents felt calm but his main concern is to finish the University and I have promised.

He is very favorable to Krishna consciousness and the girls also, have good eating habits, girls are vegan and he’s crudivegano in the week and weekends is vegan and not drink or smoke, them love  the prasadam. Daily they offer their food to Krishna at home to Srila Prabhupada. Alexey feels  inspired by Bhakti Sundar Maharaja and now he is their siksa.

Inside me for some time I was the desire to associate with a person, my mind honestly imagine a similar scenario never That I have now, I Know That I do not be qualified, I have a lot to learn but I feel really happy whos and enthusiastically, They are very loving me and when i see your desire to love Krishna That I just think it's just perfect, a family with Krishna consciousness. And Actually I do not feel alone or worried, Although I Understand That is a great responsibility, I feel the support and love with the Devotees.

For now I'm in university and he supports me, in the evenings I help the girlswith the homeworks. Ekanta nanny go with the girls to the school and kitchen, he works all the day and every evening we can have the dinner and tea all together. Truly we soon would formalize this. Gurumaharaja excuse the attempt at writing this, please we what’s your advice and blessings for make all this well! All I wish is that each step or decision made either to be closer to you and Krishna!

HpS - ASA --- AGTSP....  From our perspective of Diksa guru, be sure that whatever you do will help you improve your 16-enthusiatic rounds and follow the 4-principles strictly. Whatever appears to be progress that does not help these five things at every step is just a step in the wrong direction, a step into pain.

How to do this? Ask Krsna. Ask the opinion of several good devotees about big decisions.
Draupadi probably wanted a happy situation but instead, what she got was a very Krsna conscious situation. We are looking for social arrangements, family life, that will be externally a temporary relation to move into a deeper eternal personal relations with people.

ASA - Yes, long time ago it has recovered. Now we have stomach problem and of course going blind and deaf and losing teeth!   Very nice!

We write to tell you of project in Vrindavana, Yesterday we had a very nice and productive meeting. in 2 weeks things have fly almost, its subreal

we have a name, V.E.D.A (Vraja educational and Devotional Academy) kids can be vedantas? They accept a co-ed education, but boys upto 10 only, meybe they will be ready to go to Gurukula?

so we are starting collecting different models of curricular programs from all over the world (many devotee friends are helping) and we have to start a fundraising... we think we will be needing 40 thousand dollars to start... maybe, by Radharanis mercy the Goshala will give us a little space to make some buildings. we could pay them rent? theres another plot Iskcon is not using, no project coming for it nothing, maybe that could be a permanet spot.  we need to have the funds to ask for the land, because right now all we have are dreams and a bunch of parents in passion.  this week we are prepering a brochure, the funraising strategy  and we are taking some pictures next sunday of the children (to put in the brochure)

Please Guru Maharaja give us blessing so we can become good instruments of the lords will.

HpS - Who are like three of the other principal participants?  Who are they?

Dear Gurumaharaja,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

First of all i wish to thank you for your reply to my previous letter. Temple news is that Krishna Ksetra Maharaja visits this weekend for classes. Mother Kishori from France visited the other week, and the place got opened with Radhastami and was baptised 'Gaura Dham.'

My reason for writing is that i seek more understanding about a certain point which i hope you can clarify. It is about the contents of this verse:

Hrdayananda Goswami reasoned in a class that chanting Mahamantra in the streets is not very effective to most hearers because of the point of this verse. There would be ajnata sukriti, but that is not so potent as to make people come forward and really take up the chanting. For people who have past life experiences, the chanting would wake them up to their previous position and they would continue. The same goes for reading Srila Prabhupada's books. The argument he used based on this verse, is that if an action is not purposefully done out of  good intention, the result would not be very potent. After all, the verse prior to this one mentions the criterium as to please the Lord.

Now this shook me up a bit, because of what i sort of picked up in our ISKCON, that the chanting is so potent that everybody will benefit. Of course, Maharaja did not deny that explicitly, nor did he dissuade from doing Harinam in any way, but it was a bit of a letdown, because his point made sense to me. On the other hand, Srila Prabhupada says that even chanting as a joke or mockingly has effect. How do i understand this apparent contradiction? And is ajnata sukriti really not that potent, and does it have to add up in order to be of some influence?

There was another class in Berlin from September, which became a topic of discussion on the internet, where Maharaja said that the prophesy of Lord Caitanya can lead devotees in Harinam parties sometimes to be in a bubble of 'saving the world,' while in actuality they are not connecting to the people around them. To me, these episode strenghten in me the notion that to speak to one person a day, in a good conversation with mutual respect, and to impress upon them the glories and benefit of chanting, and inspiring them in that way, is a glorious thing. Of course i would be interested in understanding your ideas on the 9% that you disagree with in Maharaja, to see more balance, but i can understand could be beyond the scope of this forum. Anyway, i look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Pamho Maharaja, Hare Krsna.

I regret the delay, I had my head in a thousand places (mental). I had not sung my rounds (16) a few days, but I have targeted.

Sometimes I can hardly write, although I love, becouse my level is not very high, and only I have very normal questions I´ve heard many times but I exceed either. Or are incorrect questions or stories to a Vaisnava Sannyasi.

You know I am a very ordinary person with a good heart, no more.

These days I have had a personal realization. The other day I woke up at 7:30 to sing my rounds, I was very tired, and singing rounds I located what I felt like my union with atma, my atma and Atma(paramatma or spiritual platform, I think). I feltn the change in the circulation of energi, and I felt one individual consciusness, my self, and felt attached to a river of life. The energi going from the inside out, all around, a union like flowers and roots.

I was very happy becouse I felt that that was the same as over the death, or that I thought.
