Letters to the editor

               AGTSP!                paoho.      We arrived at Tandavika Das' Ashrama in Franklin, Tennessee, USA, Friday and fell down in "our bed" at 11PM after 4-months of hard trave,l and finally 29-hours of travel without resting. We got to go to the dentist for drilling-and-filling for the filling that fell out somewhere over the Atlantic, and today, Thursday, six daze later, we have some energy. Our liver is a little recovered.   We have three cabinets, cases, open all over the floor of our room and are adjusting all the stuff for this next short USA tour.

Tommorrow we will go to Nitai-gaurasundara Das Ashrama.    In Murfreesboro. Hobbits live in Boros, right.   Then Monday to Houston for over 2-weeks with good situation. Then a week in Denver, Boise and San Jose...             16 July back in Tennessee and maybe just sit here until 8th October or maybe until we transit to the unlimited forest of Vrndavana, where there is a lot of room.

               AGTSP!      paoho  &  bw.    We are sick as a dog [which is about the same as being sick as a Pig or a Monkey].  This last 29-hours of travel, motion, was a LOT of stress for Brother Ass. He is complaining like anything - Hee Haw!    Hee Haw!!!      Haw Ray!

          We must accept for now and forever that he is no longer a Smart Ass, now he can only aspire to be a Wise Ass.

           Today is Monday.   Following Rupanuga Ji's Ayurvedic Advice we just relaxed and did light work Saturday and Sunday.  It has helped a lot. Now is Ekadasi, and we are fasting. Feeling like vomiting etc. but seems that if we just keep with this Light Work Program all will O.K.       Light-work has been contacting people here in USA and Peru.  Things are Good (Uncle Gismo).     Still seems that we will have enough Organizational Work that we will not be able to settle down to Writing Sankhya ABCs for a while yet.

We will try to get our Sankirtana-partners sorted out for the next fortnight today.

O.K.  Blog is 6-days behind, we catch up and answer special Manipuri letters too.

               AGTSP!    paoho....  Here in NIOS Main Office, 304 Astor Way; Franklin, TN 37064; USA...  Giriraja Maharaja Ashrama.      Got up at 1AM CET and had classes, arati, packing travel, travel, travel, travel, consulting with R.Raman Das... Laid down for first time at 6AM CET this morning, 11PM ACT (ASA Camp Time).  That's 29-hours of work, but Brother Nokia is recharged. Brother Acer is 96% recharged. Brother Ass is 57-97% recharged.       With no sound, chanting Japa, we  watched, "Saving Private Ryan". Very useful documentary.   Then another way, no sound, Japa,  "Cruickshank Redemption". Also, documentary...    Reviewed Krsna-ksetra Das' book on Rama-smaranam, chanted 32-rounds.  Suffered like hell in sympathy for Brother Ass...  7-hours in the mean transit lounge in Newark!!!!    No Prasadam bu choclate covered p-nuts.            Never again unless great results.              "We're all gonna die, it's how you live that counts", Conan the Barbarian!       O.K.  Bath, Mangala arati.  3.53AM ACT....    Get to your letters today.  Resting.  House alone today and tommorrow!

Here we go!        3.15AM.    At 5.45AM  we leave for USA.   10.15-12.30PM  Brussells to Newark (New York),    then 7.30-8.30PM   Newark to Nashville,   then drive to Franklin. Take rest about 10PM (=3AM here  > 21.25 hours of travel!!!!)

Saturday we rest.  (Sunday we rest.... )   ....   How are you?   All the letters answered up to 3-days ago.
The Educational Simposium was really great.  It was about 90% efficient.  Incredible devotees.  We are going to be working with Rama-giri-dhari Das from Bombay on the Ministry of Education Web page with Dina dayal Das.  That is like the back-bone of ISKCON Education.  From there everything else, curriculim developement, PhD Thesis design, teacher and student placement...  all communicate.

            Once people know Krsna, they can love Him.  If you love Krsna you will love everybody,  "aham sarvasya prabhavo..." BG 10.10...

             We will report on our trip 1) Japa,  2) Reading,  3) Maya (In-flight enterntainment, airport fud).....   3) Sankirtana!  Meeting nice people and tell them about Krsna.  Give them books, vedabase.com cards

       DTC  -  AGTSP   paoho.   Here we are in Barcelona.  We just finished the San Francisco, Bhakti Vaibhava class on Web Ex and we sent the Kapi Dhvaja.  We will have t upload the Monkey/Pigee   Trash.txt files later because we have to use the Temple Mac Computer to log on and the Trash is on our Computer!!!    Dukhalayam asas  asas  asasvatam!!!                Today we had Japa Joe, Peru BhVai, Initiations, Intense consultations with three devotees and Temple President, Hari-nama Sankirtana on Rambla with 10,000 tourists looking on, San Francisco Bhakti vaibhava and now in 11-minutes we walk with 10-12 devotees to the park about 15 miutes from here to meet with about 40 devotees for the weekly Sadhu sanga.     We answered all the mail up to 3 days ago!  Thank you!!

Here we are in Gundica Das' office in the Barcelona Temple.  Brother Ass is in complete catastrophy as is our internet. Maybe it is because it is Ekadasi.  Better to just sit in the Temple and chant Hare Krsna.    We developed a last minute plan for the week here.  (Sound common.. Ha Ha Ha  (Ray)))..   It's pretty good.   Improvisational Theater Training Ki Jai!!!    We are just giving evening programs and only doing individual consultations from 6-7PM.  Is a great honor.                    The theme for the whole week is Nrsmhadeva!!!!  Last night we did:

prāyeṇa deva munayaḥ sva-vimukti-kāmā
            maunaḿ caranti vijane na parārtha-niṣṭhāḥ
naitān vihāya kṛpaṇān vimumukṣa eko
            nānyaḿ tvad asya śaraṇaḿ bhramato 'nupaśye

TRANSLATION
My dear Lord Nṛsiḿhadeva, I see that there are many saintly persons indeed, but they are interested only in their own deliverance. Not caring for the big cities and towns, they go to the Himalayas or the forest to meditate with vows of silence [mauna-vrata]. They are not interested in delivering others. As for me, however, I do not wish to be liberated alone, leaving aside all these poor fools and rascals. I know that without Kṛṣṇa consciousness, without taking shelter of Your lotus feet, one cannot be happy. Therefore I wish to bring them back to shelter at Your lotus feet.

              It and 43 are wonderful.  Tonight do the verse that Srila Prabhupada quotes in his arrival song to Boston, glorifying Srila Bhakti siddhanta Swami.

          Brother Ass Reporting:  Heat beating O.K.  Want to vomit from fasting for Ekadasi, but the body GREATFUL to have the rest from digesting things.  Our beard is growing well. It's also growing into our mouth and itches, but shaving regularly is not great for someone who is mildly hemo-phelic like his ancestors.  Beard Experiment. The internet connection is only in the office or restaurant, which is closed, and then it works about 27.3% with CONSTANT endeavor, closing and reopening the browser, waitinng 30-seconds for each page to load, changing browsers. We also have back-ache like a pulled muscle and of course our eyes are always strained easily by the machine now.

He Haw!     He Haw!      He  Haw!    HawRay!!!           Krsna.   I think it's just the same for all of you, right??     I think a female Ass must be even more of a catastrophy!          Oink!   Oink!                 Hare Krsna.

But...  we got all the Yahoo mail answered or read and scheduled.  Projects are suffering a little because of this lack of communication.   Things look pretty good for here in Barcelona.  Is cold and damp.   Sea coast.                 We are getting ready for the jump to Belgium (Yum!   Yum!)  for the International Symposium on Education.   Of course, there are last minute panics and reading the fine print on our Discount Ticket (with Ryan Air (which we would NOT recommend for anybody but people who use them ALL the time)) we see little jewels like: If you don't come to the airport with your Boarding Pass preprinted in duplicate then we will charge you 70-euros to print it.  All non Euro guys gotta go to the Document.....

Must be Ekadasi.              AGTSP!       We can keep smiling in the middle of all this.  We maybe a stupid ass, but at least we are happy asses.     AGTSP.

          IN GENERAL.    We are making no promises of travel after 16 July unless things are well organized, with an intelligent plan to change the world.  Of course, that means publishing good books, good popular media, doing select programs with serious people.
