Thank you for keeping my family and I floating in the ocean of this material world for yet another year with your kind guidance, exemplary dealings and nectarian Krishna katha. At an advanced age, sacrificing your comforts and health, you tirelessly engage in Srila Prabhupada’s service for the welfare of the fallen souls.

You are humility personified whom even the lowest person can approach without fear.

HpS - We wonder who you are talking about! Maybe more appropriate would be, "We are hypocrisy personified whom even the lowest person fears to approach for becoming contaminated."

Your life is simply an example of Srila Rupa Gosvami’s Upadesamrta.

HpS - Ahh!   This is a letter about Srila Prabhupada!  Jaya!.

What can six urges do to you who have given body, mind and words to Krishna? What six things can destroy your bhakti who doesn’t even desire one proper meal a day or a comfortable place to live or sleep? All the six things that enhance devotion are part of your sublime character. You are expert in six kinds of loving exchanges and you treat three kinds of devotees in the most appropriate manner. Your faith in holy names is extremely deep and you do not see any difference between the Lord and His names. Your deep devotion to holy places leading up to Vrindavan dhama and the Lord’s devotees leading up to Srimati Radharani is marvelous.

This year I encountered many challenging situations but by your mercy my devotional service in general was much more in quantity compared to last year. At gross level things are fine in all areas but internal consciousness need to improve a lot. I struggle to chant attentive rounds and it’s a constant battle with my mind. I am begging you and Krishna to drag me to the best states of spiritual consciousness, from which there is no return, no matter what needs to be done with me!

My desire is that I simply recognize the greatest treasure the Lord has given me in the form of your association and acquire the needed intelligence and strength to serve you and your servants with every bit of myself life after life.

Please forgive my offenses and I hope to be of some use in your service to Srila Prabhupada. If all goes well and if I have yours and Radharani's mercy I will be celbrating this year vyasapuja in Sri Vrindavan Dham with my daughter, wife, mother and father. May be some magic will happen and other God brothers or sisters will join me!

My name is Arina. I was born in Russia, but i'm living in Valencia, Spain, since i was 6.

My mother always had been searching some spiritual things, buddhism, osho, mantras, tai chi... So i had grown up in ambient of inciense, mantras, oriental music, soviet films and soviet animated films. But i think those films aestetically and morally are very good.

We meet devotees when a was 13 years old more or less, i liked vaisnava filosophy, chant and listen mantras, prasadam!! But I have strarted seriusly my spiritual practice one year ago more or less, now I'm 18. I have always been clear about the existence of God.

I didn't know about His name, His form.. But i thougth that 'It' has to be someone and not something like 'the universe'. My father is orthodox, when i was a child he used to take me whith him to church, i enjoyed those moments. Orthodox temples are very beautiful. But I could never fully understrand that kind of religion until nowadays.

Sometimes i go to church to hear about Krishna. I don't see big diferences between religions. I go to church nd hear "You have to serv to God with love". It makes me feel better when i have sad things in mind. Before knowing about Prabhupada's books and all this fhilosopy, i didnt understand what the priest was saying. But now is like hear a summary, the essence of what i have learned in Krishna consciense. I think is kind how people of different cultures and traditions can worship God. Is great go to chatolic temple and understand, because is the same yoga-religion..! hahaha :)

I really admire San Francisco de Asis. I'm sure that he didn't eat meat, but everybody says me he did. ¿What do you think??

I started chanting 3 rounds one year ago, now im chanting 16 since september. I like chant rounds, altough at home many times is difficult to concentrate my restless female mind in only one thing...but do it listening Prabhupada's japa recordings helps me a lot.

Sometimes i go to Nueva Vrajamandala, there i can chant rounds better in the morning with devotees.. Mangala aratii!! Is very special moment for me, it is magic.. Is night, the world is in silence yet..and the deities wake up and the tday starts with chanting holy names!!.the insciense, fire, fowers.. Very placeful! Krishna is beeing served with love and happiness and He is smiling, and everyone is happy!! Is great!

At home we worship little Gour Nitai deities, and do mangala arati too.. But in NV with devotees is more impactant. I use to do mangala arati alone because my mum doesnt wake up when is doing cold..and lately is very cold. I have a little sister, she is 11...but she doesnt care about mangala arati.. :( About 4 principles, it's ok. I neves had dificulties whith them. Altough i used to go with people who smoke a lot of weed and drink alcohol, i never felt atracctive to do that. My social life has changed a lot. Before i didnt stop at home, i was always outside whith friends... Now basically i have social life in university. But is good because in that way i have time to chant my rounds. I losed interes for things like go to concert, or to someone's house to watch a stupid movie while everyone is smoking marihuana to understand the deep sense of the movie.

Sometimes is hard for me because i feel a little alone. Nobody wants go with me to church.. We have a preaching center, we do programs every sunday. We are 10 devotees more or less who come eventually to the programs. I started this year the university of arts. Is good, people are very friendly and i can talk whith them about Krishna and take them some little Prabhupada's books. I think art can be like yoga, because it can be used to contact with God. For example, when i see a deity or a painting of Krishna...for my mind ib that moment is like "ok He is Krishna, you are at Him side right now". I like a lot The ligth of Bhagavata!! The paintings are great! When oriental art comes together with Krishna..wow!! I heard in one of your classes about some film of Light of Bhagavata...Where i can find it?

HpS – I think Sananda Devi Dasi has a copy. We left several copies in Spain. Mantri-rama Das in Madrid may have copy. It is designed for BIG screen but you can also get some sense of it on a small screen.

Also I hear some russian seminars about vedic psycology. Is very interesant and useful. I think if you know some basic ideas , for example about how works male and female mind, it is easier to live.. In my case. Because now i know that some things are absolutly normal because of my female body, and i have a diferent dharma and diferent inclinations than man, diferent views, diferent worlds. I can see many times people acting without this knowlede and destroying relationships. So sometimes my mother and i traduce this seminars into spanish. I think is vety important to know how to relate correctly with people arround you.

Krishna is someone too. Maybe we have people around us to practice and learn how to love and serv, for do the same with Suprem Person.

Now i'm reading Bhagavad Gita and Sri Isopanisad. Sri Isopanisad motivates me a lot. I am really enjoying it. I find prabhupada's coments very truly and very funny.

Godruma Das and Pushpa are going to subsidize books for sankirtan, i think i can distribute in university libraries, to people in university, and i want try to do it in streets of Valencia with devotees..

Thank you very much for your seminars and clases! They inspirate me a lot for spiritual thoughts and actions. I read some of your sounds from heart.. These one about thief dog is great hahaha it made me very funny! Hare Krishna Majaraja!! Thanks you for your time! ...And sorry for my english Arina

HpS – Hare Krsna. You, Srinatha, Yamunesvara Das, every letter I am reading today is from people who are running at 10,000 miles an hour in Krsna consciousness! It is good if you got a basis!!!    You seem to have it. Understand masculine mentality, getting up early.
I hope Krsna arranges a super, super, marriage for you soon. Maybe He will marry you Himself. Where you and Orthodox Nun in your last life?

It was so nice to hear from you when I was in Boise. I had a wonderful time in Boise. This time, my yonger brother Sriram had also come. I got sick just before leaving Boise, and there is no better place to get sick! All of them were taking such good care of me. I definitely don't deserve it, but such is the nature of Vaishnavas that they show love and compassion to everyone.

I have been chanting 16 rounds everyday and following the 4 regulative principles. On a few days, I feel nice satisfaction after my rounds, but on most days, it eludes me. My morning program is not stable and I can see from your instructions that stabilizing my morning program will help fix that. It is a work in progress.

The university program we started here concluded for the semester last week. It was a decent start. About 15 students on an average attended every program. Lots of improvements can be made there. We will start the program again next semester.

The soundcloud account (https://soundcloud.com/user-938973912) now has 228 lectures. On an average about 35 lectures are heard in a week. I have dowloaded most of your Srimad Bhagavatam lectures from esanga to be uploaded here. The filenames need to to cleaned before uploading them. If any of my godsiblings have a recording of your lecture that isn't there in iskcondesiretree or in esanga, I request them to send it to [email protected] so that all of us can have access to that.

I have been travelling a lot in the last couple of months. I was in Dallas last week. My office had arranged a "look-see" trip to help us make our decisions regarding relocation. I went to Sri Sri Radha Kalachandji temple for the sunday feast. I loved the deities. Kalachandji had such a big smile and He reminded me of Lord Varadharaja in Kanchipuram. I experienced the aspect of Krishna being personally present in the deity form. It was a surreal experience. It was as if Krishna was reciprocating to my feelings after taking His darshan. I mostly think I'll be relocating to Dallas next June, but I want to make the decision after coming back from India.

Next week, I am travelling to India. After the visa interview, I am going to Mayapur for a few days before joining Radhika Ramana Prabhu in Kolkata on 19-Dec. On 20-Dec, the day of your Sri Vyasa puja, his friend is taking us around Kolkata to show us the places where Srila Prabhupada performed his pastimes. This would be my first Vyasa puja celebration. How would you like me to serve you Guru Maharaja?

HpS - Write shorter letters.  Ha!  Ha!   It is hard because there is so much happening, but you have to pick the highlights. Prioritize.  So much ahead of you!

Then we travel together to Vrindavana the next day where my parents join us. I again beg for your mercy so that I can go to Vrindavan in the right mood and see beyond the veil of Kali yuga.

Dear Maharaja, i hope your in good health, and doing good in this coming winter season! answering to the question you ask me, yes, we were introduce by Japa  Nama Rama das, he is one of your disciple from Panama, he introduced us when you were on Chile back on june, i draw a moneky dancing to Lord Jagannath , im a tattoo artist, and a painter, and also a writer! and a humble woman desiring to get to the service of the Lord :) you are right about how to keeping mind on track is a very personal job, im trying everyday to improve and do my best, i've found the way to calm the mind its to be really hard on keeping track on doing things the best we can, like practicing the principles. i used to get up late like a 9am, but lately i've been improving, like getting up at 6 or 7am, i try to go to bed early but my job keeps me from going early anyway. Mangal Arti at 4:30 am when i'm able to stay at the temple, but when i go to the temple i always try to pay service helping in the kitchen or now my current service is also washing Srila Prabhupada's clothing, which makes me feel really happy, honored and responsable. i really wish i could go back to Venezuela maharaja, i miss my country really bad...i want to do a lot there, but now going back could mean a risk for my daughter and for me. I hope to get to go back anytime soon at least to visit my family and friends there. I hope your doing good maharaja, i really looking foward to go and visit you next time you go to either Chile or Peru. im taking photos of the service every sunday, it's ,i think, a pretty nice way to keep track of my service and show people Krishna Conciousness :) Mya (my 10 year old daughter) is reading "the light of the Bhagavatam: poems from India" and doing service at the temple, she assisted to her first fire ceremony last sunday. she is so happy at the temple. i send the best of wishes to you maharaja. i'll be waiting for more instructions!!

HpS - ASA - Thank you!!    There was a big, beautiful, full color art book called KRSNA Art that cost about $100. Many tatoo stores bought it and people would pick pictures from it for their tatoos.

Thank you for your letter, Maharaja, GBC Secretary,

Hp Swami, the situation in ISKCON Boise, Ministry of Education, GBC College, ISKCON Srila Prabhupada: We are looking at this from specific example to broad, grave impact.

We are dealing with this personally, we hope well, but we have to have institutional help to get institutional results at this point. As best we can understand how to move forward we should make a:

FORMAL COMPLAINT to you as GBC Secretary that the Temple in Boise is not maintaining regular Srimad Bhagavatam classes for its members and should be put on probation as an ISKCON Temple.

We are making this complaint for what we see as the welfare of all concerned. We hope to learn from this situation. Our complaint may be wrong. We hope everyone takes this in a friendly capacity, and we hope working on this situation will have waves all across ISKCON.

We don't expect any quick results. If you can respond that as GBC Secretary for ISKCON Boise, you have received our Complaint and have asked the Temple President to Respond within 30-days that is fine for us. Very fine. Then we have a practical basis for institutional discussion of the matter.

We want a healthy institution, we want friendly dealings, we want to face our Guru Maharaja at the end of the day and say that we are trying to work properly in his institution and Sanga.

Again, as a Sannyasi, we try to only deal in these administrative matters in a general sense, so we are publishing all these communications on our Blog so our Students can hopefully how to deal with our very, very, very glorious institution ISKCON and deepen their relations as a Sadhu sanga also.
