Hare Krishna Beloved Gurudeva,

Please accept our humble obeisances,

All Glories to Srila Prabhupada,

Dear Gurudeva,

I wanted to share some reflections with you and express my growing realization of the importance and value of preaching on an academic level.

Although I don’t yet find the intelligence or motivation to fully immerse myself in this field—perhaps due to my frustration witnessing the poor intellectual standards at the university where I teach, or perhaps due to my own lack of sincerity—I am beginning to understand what you meant when you described this time as a “second Renaissance.”

I can see that science is starting to develop a kind of dogmatism or fanaticism, not unlike the way religion was viewed during the Middle Ages. The cases of Piero Anversa at Harvard and Marc Tessier-Lavigne at Stanford clearly illustrate that the times are changing, and the debate between science and spirituality is becoming increasingly significant.

It is within this context that I recognize the immense importance of ISKCON’s message and its academic outreach.

On a personal level, the project that inspires me and to which I would like to dedicate my life is the development of a Gurukula. It is deeply inspiring to see what the devotees are accomplishing with Goswami Academy in Texas and Avanti Schools in England.

I hope one day to visit these and other similar projects to learn from their experiences. Whether this vision becomes a reality depends on Krishna’s mercy to send the right team and the right people to bring this dream to life.

Thank you for your inspiration and tenacity over all these years. Without a doubt, your instructions, unconditional love, and exemplary life provide the strength to keep moving forward. You give our existence a profound, transcendental purpose.

In the attached picture we notice that Krsna or Balarama are not looking at the lesson, they are looking at the teacher!!!

Quería compartir algunas reflexiones con usted y expresarle mi creciente comprensión de la importancia y el valor de la prédica a nivel académico. Aunque todavía no encuentro la inteligencia o la motivación para sumergirme completamente en este campo (quizás debido a mi frustración al presenciar los bajos estándares intelectuales en la universidad donde enseño, o quizás debido a mi propia falta de sinceridad), estoy empezando a entender lo que quiso decir cuando describió esta época como un “segundo Renacimiento”.

Puedo ver que la ciencia está empezando a desarrollar una especie de dogmatismo o fanatismo, no muy diferente de la forma en que se veía a la religión durante la Edad Media. Los casos de Piero Anversa en Harvard y Marc Tessier-Lavigne en Stanford ilustran claramente que los tiempos están cambiando y el debate entre ciencia y espiritualidad está adquiriendo cada vez mayor importancia. Es en este contexto que reconozco la inmensa importancia del mensaje de ISKCON y su alcance académico.

A nivel personal, el proyecto que me inspira y al que me gustaría dedicar mi vida es el desarrollo de un Gurukula. I remember when you introduced me to him in Peru.

He's quite critical of the society he lived in.

HpS/ASA - AgtSP. His songs are very inspirational to us. Others also resonate with him. He is still alive.

That is a service for Goswamis, s(he)it, to travel to different residences and report back to the GBC where new Temples can be opened.

So, 🐒, in the current age that means traveling to different IP addresses, Blogs... and learning their language, acharyas, and taking gold from them, and washing of the poison, and giving them the Bengali Buddha, The Golden Buddha.

We think Srila Prabhupada would be very happy to meet him.

This is wonderful question.

Supersoul is not exactly a person.

It is guidance of Krsna through intelligence, no?

When there is no mirror, there is no reflection of Maha-visnu, so when there is no material world, Prakrti, there is not Supersoul.

Communicating with the Supersoul is like communicating with someone in the mirror. It has a lot of features, but it is still a reflection.

"Painted fruits, do not satisfy hunger", Boo Dhist!

At first initiation we realize Sambandha - Krsna Pays, I work.

At Second Initiation we realize Abhideha - My work in terms of practical detail eg. Brahmana, Ksatriya, Lady Kastriya...

At Third Initiation, Sannyasa, Goswami we realize the Paramatma - Jitatmana prasantasya, paramatma sammahita... BG.

At second initiation we can take our 'inspiration' from the paramatma seriously but still need a lot of external instruction.

at third initiation we still confirm with guru sadhu and sastra but Krsna is driving our chariot with much more of His personal hand.

We open BBT books and see a direct comment on what our question is. Krsna in the heart gives us conviction that this is a direct comment to us, but it can be confirmed externally because it is right there where everyone can read it.

If someone is prone to hallucination, tama guna, then s(he)it knows they need the external confirmation more than someone who is in Tama guna.

there was, agtSP, a duck named harris fin.

he lived in dub lynn and had no grin.

he spoke both french and greek and yellow sward,

but no friends to talk with in dale or ford.

rama rama hare hare.

but that's not real.

it cannot be.

we are born with friends and foes

and smirks and toes.

everyone has bacteria that indwell our gut.

without them we could not digest our bib and tuck.

KRSNA is our eternal friend.

from our friendship He does not bend.

He is so busy in enjoying at a rapid pace.

it's like an annual derby race.

He needs us back on board against the foe.

HpS/ASA - Speaking quite esoterically, agtSP, we really thought about your esteemed self often, hoping the best for you as you wandered in the world or Shakespeare and Don Quixote. Monkey was pretty sure you would come back up: She's too mean to drown! 🐒

They were years of great karma adjustment, but with the blessed appearance of my little daughter, maya diminished its great influence and my consciousness once again remembered the eternal truth.

I am grateful to the Vaishnavis who were always present and to you, beloved Guruji, for your infinite tolerance, patience, and compassion. Always, even in my deepest darkness, I remembered your sweet kindness. And in this Vyasa Puja, I am grateful for the opportunity to write to you and have your merciful attention.

I hope your health improves and that you feel very well (I recognize the great selfishness on my part in this request).

HpS/ASA - Should we all just pray to rot and die as soon as possible so that we can get back to our real life and responsibilities in Nabadvipa?? 😟 of course, if Gauranga wants us here, then O.K.!!
