Dear Maharaja, please accept my humble obeisance
Here is Bhakta Rodrigo Hernández from Chile. Thank you very much for your letter, tips and instructions. At first it took me understand your examples (was difficult understand), I'm not really intelligent and every night my brain is full of medications but my health is fine.
Prabhu Jagat Guru, Kriya Shakti devi dasi and me are working on the second number of Utsaha magazine. We are editors and we are coordinating all the work. There are some people contacted to write articles. Personally I would like you to write an article.To me it is very important that you are happy with the magazine and my service.
We are in March! It is a good time to start making contacts for you to conferences in Chile in July 2011. Vanamali dd, Abhimanyu, Jagat Guru and I want to do this service. In this sense Jagat Guru told me that his idea is not to organize a lot of  events. His idea is to arrange 3 or 4 events, but they are very important. (Good public and good places). Also He thinks it would be nice to organize a two-day symposium, surely he can give more details.  For my part I would like to make arrangements / contacts for you to give a Conference in Biblioteca Nacional  de Chile, but I need to know what is the topic of Conference? (Light of the Bhagavata perhaps?).
It is also possible that I can talk to people from the National Commission for Scientific and Technological Research of Chile (CONICYT Chile).   I remember you in June 2010 gave a Conference about science at the University of Chile. His conference  was called "Science and the new direction.").   Prabhu Jagat Guru also told me that you gave a major conference in CONICYT Perú, perhaps you could repeat this conference in Chile. I need to know your theme to make arrangements.

Also, I hope to visit very soon to Professor Claudia Lira from Universidad Católica and also I will visit  to Marisol Vera from Editorial Cuarto Propio.   I would give them an envelope with printed matter "Light of the Bhagavata" and “Tribute to Srila Prabhupada” (Bhagavata Person) in Ricardo Palma University more books "King of Knowledge" and "Sri Isopanisad". Then I can say to them: "Hanumatpresaka Swami Maharaja sent this material for you". Can I say this? 

Whenever I can thank God (Krishna) that you came into my life and despite all my faults and anarthas you accepted me.

HpS  -   AGTSP   pamho.  We are in Mexico until tommorrow and then back to the USA for two months!   Very nice to hear from all.  Yes, is good time to start fixing our calendar.  We can look at the dates more in detail when we get to USA.  Please investigate what we can present.  Maybe they have dates the prefer.  Sometimes there is a festival going on and we can take part.   Yes, Light of the Bhagavata is always wonderful book for us!!!     We have presented many times at CONCYTEC in Peru.  They may know Victor Caranza. He is the second person in charge.  He is not in charge of science rather education.  If they like they can contact him.  Science, a New Dirrecion?  Is still a good title.
Yes, tell them we sent the material.
I think you are doing wonderful work to advance your spiritual life.  More to do!   Tell us if anyone has fixed dates that we must adjust to.

HpS: I think we may differ in that I understand that a Madhyama-adhikari who is formally initiated is also a liberated soul in as much as a dog on a lease doesn't go to any wrong places.  "diksa kale bhakt kare atma samarpan..." cited in NOI and many places.

SP NOI 5: "The process by which a devotee becomes attached to Krsna is described in Caitanya-caritamrta (Antya 4.192):

diksa-kale bhakta kare atma-samarpana sei-kale krsna tare kare atma-sama

"At the time of initiation, when a devotee fully surrenders to the service of the Lord, Krsna accepts him to be as good as He Himself."

Diksa, or spiritual initiation, is explained in the Bhakti-sandarbha (868) by Srila Jiva Gosvami:

divyam jnanam yato dadyat

kuryat papasya sanksayam

tasmad dikseti sa prokta

desikais tattva-kovidaih

"By diksa one gradually becomes disinterested in material enjoyment and gradually becomes interested in spiritual life."

Yes I agree he may be a liberated soul but what level of a liberated soul, that is my point. But Prabhupada says here in your quoted verse that "when a devotee fully surrenders" and this is a "gradual" process. Your example of "a dog on a leash doesn't go to the wrong places" is also accepted. 

HpS: just the consciousness that Srila Prabhupada was our Guru, AND, that he wanted us to follow his representatives…we would do that in perspective of how they were representing Srila Prabhupada properly

BJB: Yes, this is nice.

HpS: accept their administrative or Varna-ashrama authority or their actual superiority on terms of spiritual development.

BJB: Yes, I accept this.

HpS: In this we may fundamentally disagree, because even though I see many faults in ISKCON as an institution I think that it is functional and Krsna is protecting it

BJB: I don't think we disagree, I feel this way too.

HpS: I concluded that it [iskcon] was still within the protection of Krsna and Prabhupada.

BJB: Yes, me too.

HpS: So, pragmatically speaking, do you feel that it is true that a Second Initiated devotee, worshipping Radha and Krsna and following the standards sincerly is also a pure devotee, albeit a second class pure devotee?

BJB: Yes, depending on many factors he may be a second class pure devotee. There are many classes of pure devotees.

HpS: Maybe you are right the institution has deviated so much that we have to do something else. 

BJB: I never said that we have to do something else.

HpS - AGTSP   pamho.   I think we are rowing in the same direction and will get to the next signal beacon together and can make more progress from there.  I have one more question at this point.

Seems that some feel that the person giving names, beads, evaluating the candidate on behalf of Srila Prabhupada is a priest that deviates us from Srila Prabhupada for one moment but then we return to Srila Prabhupada afterwards.  On the other hand is the idea that we can see the above mentioned person as representative of Prabhupada before during and after the fire sacrifice.

What is your comprehension of this?

I am doing sankirtan. Last Saturday a girl came to the program because of a book. Normally I do buses, but now I am also learning to stop people on the street. 

P.Aravinda came one week to Lima, and he spend some time with us. He gave us classes, so much association about sankirtan. Is so nice to have association of devotees, to talk about service, about sankirtan!
I feel happy to be every day engaged in devotional service, even if the mind not always agrees.
I am living with Yugala and b.Maria, and some time is little hard. Because I think I try to be better than other in a subtle way, to be a "good person", but I am in this material body I am not a good person? I am not a sincere wellwisher, or servant for them. I would like to become really a good person. I would like to be a really good friend for them (to serve them?)

My rounds: they are ok during the morning, and most of the time I finish my rounds during the morning program, but sometimes I left rounds, and then some times I am not so responsable in finishing them. I finish with bad quality or even sometimes I left 2 or 3 for next day. I feel really ashamed! Before I was not doing that, I don't want to keep that as a bad habit in my spiritual life. Is so stupid not to be serious at least with the basic principles! 

Gurudeva, I will not keep this things! I will endeavor to improve. I am happy because I see Krsna is ready to help me. Please keep me as your aspiring servant! I want to be your servant, Krsna's servant some day. The servant of the servant.

Please Gurudeva, forgive me, I wish to improve.

HpS - AGTSP   pamho.   Thank you so much for the news and your super efforts in Sankirtana.  How are your Father, Mother, Brother?     The mind, my mind, is like an evil, selfish dog.  We can make it appreciate devotees by serving them.  Try to help Maria and Yugala in their service a little bit every day, often, and you will see that that changes the character of your "bad dog".

Yes, it is our, my, stupidity that we think that there is a better way to do things than Japa vrata. School, health, Sankirtan, family, everything will improve at the maximum possible rate when we improve our 16 rounds.
We are fixing our dates in Lima like next week so we will consult with you all!
