Hope your health is better. We have recently purchased home remedies books. They are quite nice. For colds they recommend milk boiled with ginger and turmeric or turmeric and pepper. We have tried the ginger and turmeric method..it gives some relief.

Two small questions -

1. Which wood (type..bamboo, teak, etc) was used to make Shri Krsna's flute?

            ASA - He has many flutes.  Many are made of bamboo.

2. All scriptures say that Shri Krsna was blue in colour. Since that is not normal skin colour and actually if a baby is blue..its not considered good for his health..were not Krsna's parents, friends, relatives concerned about it? They did not know him as God then how did they accept the blue colour?

      ASA - This is 5,000 years ago at the end of Dvarpara Yuga.   It is like talking about how things were in New York city in the Fall after winter, (Kali-yuga) has come.   In Dvapara yuga people lived to be 1,000 years. Same account the Bible. Carbon dating can't help us.    People had different natural healthy colors then. Now we get black brown white and some redish hue for american indians.  jAYA

we know ur time is precious. But this confused soul trusts u the most esp in matters of ISK. So hence he is writing urgent on Topic>

what we are writing is the brief of  discussion we had over phone on 25 jan ,9pm boise time.
he asked/chastised us to change our prioritis to 1. chant 2. family 3. phd.... he said then comes Bhvai,BS, online lectures etc.

There was no mention of morning program and evening program.

frankly our Phd is in soup because whole family[espousa hijo] is sustaining on our stipend which last till july 2015 and we still dont know research problem , however we were trusting Krsna [as we mentioned earlier]  and keeping 1. chanting 2. four rules 3. mangal arti 4. book reading [BS and BHvai} studies.  5. PhD work   >> as we hear SB from realized sould to get its effect. hence we were hearing ur lectures online and in BHvai. 6. asssociating with local devotees and ISK temple darshan.

again I dont know how much details we should go in, is 1 year of chanting and 4 rules prasdam is ok for first intiation.. we can try to do morning program but it wont be 5/7.

we want to write more in details, but think we should restrain our mind from expressing.

   HpS -  AGTSP   Unless we have nice morning program the 16 rounds won't be nice. Anantarupa and I talked about you. Very nice.   Morning program is simple.  It doesn't take anymore time. Just getting up early rather than staying up late.  So up 1-1/2 hours before sunrise.  To bed early.  Then arati can be simple. 2 minutes. then chant japa, and when there is light SB then breakfast and PhD work.

Just needed to re-iterate my meager message and to reminisce in your appearence day. After all the request is out for offerings to be posted  with the Monkey warrior, it is the least I could do. The joy of your association makes this existence much more tolerable and in separation I do reflect well, but to see and hear your activities with all the devotee's truly completes the ecstasy of Bhakti. 

Tis’ a new day so bold, reviving wisdom of old,

enlivening the Soul while we’re striving for the Spiritual goal.

More time has passed and your Sadhana still lasts, another year up to task,

once again your tenacity wins, reining in sin and purifying the self within

As true to your heart of hearts, you know the dangers from the start,

still you carry on, delivering Srila Prabhupada’s message like a beautiful song,

dancing in levity with sober grace, bringing joy to those suffering ill-fate.

Such is our dilemma, disciples fumbling around, fools acting like clowns,

trying to understand Krsna’s knowledge so profound while stifling our ulterior demands,

with only the wise few sincerely hoping to be at your command .

It’s your example that’s shining through and keep’s your japa true,

and even when some are no longer calling or have fallen, you still

kindly offer that Sampradaya rope, giving them hope.

When His Divine Grace came to our Western World, He knew gentlemen were

needed in this place and as His training unfurled, you too filled that space.

Best thing for us is to do is follow your actions, to listen to your words and if surrender occurs

advancement is sure as scripture concurs, let us pray to  become that pure, then our Sadhana is secure.

I think the same thing you and Subhra Ji are doing now you are going to be doing in Goloka soon!!!

NOW IM slEEPING LITTLE, AND WITH A TEMPORAL FAMILY CAOTIC SITUATION, I REMEMBER YOU EVERY DAY, DURING THE DAY DURING THE NIGHT, AND I WONDER WHEN WILL ALL THIS STUFF GET BETTER, ANYWAY, IM WORSHIPIN MY DEITIES NOW, I HAVE THE FORTUNE TO SERVE SRI SRI GOURA NITAI AND KRISHNA BALARAM TOO! 

IM GETTING BACK TO WORK LITTLE BY LITTLE, BY PHONE CALLS AND EMAILS, TRYING TO CHANT SOME ROUNDS TOO, PLEASE DONT THINK IM NOT TRYING BUT I KNEW IT WOULD BE VERY DIFFICULT, BUT NOT IMPOSSIBLE!  IM HOPING ALSO  WHEN WILL THERE BE SRIMAD BHAGAVATAMS FOR SALE?

SORRY FOR NOT COMING TO YOUR CLASSES, I WASNT FEELING OK, TO TRAVEL LONG DISTANCES, I REACHED   8 MONTHS 1/2 WITH THE UTERO BROKEN, IT WAS SO THIN THAT IT START TO BROKE IN SOME PARTS, FORTUNATELY, I WAS TAKING EVERY MORNING  A CUP OF GOAT   MILK, AND BECAUSE OF THAT I COULD SURVIVE UNTIL THE END OF PREGNANCY. NO MORE BABIES, TOLD ME THE DOC. DURING THE CESAREAN, IN THAT MOMENT I COULD REALIZE IM NOT THE BODY, I WAS SO USELESS THAT I JUST THOUGHT ITS TRUE WE ARE NOT THE BODY, THIS BODY CANBE DEATH NOW BUT I WILL STILL EXIST AND WORST THING.. STILL BE THE SAME MIND, THE SAME FLASE EGO....SO I WAS THINKING REALLY  IM NOT THE BODY, SO MANY CHANGES IN IT, PAIN, NO PAIN, THIN, FAT, NOT SO FAT,  YOUNG, OLDER AND OLDER....ETC.. THIS MATERIAL WORLD IS SO STRANGE THAT WANTS TO FORCE US TO ACCEPT ALL THIS SUFFERING AS TRUE, BUT I CANT, EVEN HAVING A BABY INSIDE IS SO STRANGE 9 MONTHS INSIDE AND ONE DAY OUTSIDE WITH TOTAL DEPENDENCY ON YOU... 

THIS IS NOT WHAT I SPECT OF LIFE, I LOVE KC! I LOVE TO DO SADHANA CHANT ROUNDS AND ITS FRUSTRATING FOR ME NOT BEING ABLE TO DO IT, AT LEAST FOR A WHILE.

I WAS SO FORTUNATE YESTERDAY THAT I COULD PARTICIPATE OF YOUR BEAUTIFUL VYASAPUJA AT SILLICON VALLEY,  IT WAS SO EXCITING,  SPIRITUALLY EXCITING,  WHAT YOUR DISCIPLES SAID AND HOW THEY FELT, SO MUCH SINCERITY...
