Today I met my parents here un Cancun the 5th December they go back to Peru, and then I continue with the marathon.

   HpS -  Jaya.  Nice refreshing vacation for them!    We get back to Lima on the 5th morning and then leave for the airport 8th evening!

I hope I can be an instrument in this mission! To meditate en Srila Prabhupada's pleasure!

I am looking for a good place to distribute books in Mexico DF, but still I don't see the "perfect place"

Thanks for letting me know what you need to help you understand this subject matter. I'm not writing a paper which would include a glossary of terms and it's hard to know what you already understand. So this clarification should help me in my response.

1. HpS - AGTSP Hope your drugs help your service! What is a Solar Transit?

Well, if I hadn't taken them, I probably would have risked a much shorter life span and at this point that would certainly limit my service.

Regarding your question, "what is a solar transit?", a solar transit is supposed to mean when the sun crosses a celestial sign of the zodiac.

These signs are derived from the constellations of night sky that lay in the daily path taken by the sun in its course through out the year.  This path is called the ecliptic.

 HpS - What is a tropical sign? What are Nakshatras?

A tropical sign is one of the 12 signs associated with the sun's path troughout the year. It starts when the sun crosses over the equator from its southern path to its northern path. It is derived from the night time zodiac but doesn't change over the millenium. The Hindus recognized that the sun signs and the night signs varied over time; this is called procession.

            ASA - How many years is the cycle of the procession?

 HpS - Does what for us now? Ha! Ha! Ha(re)! It is just like talking French to a Chinaman for us common folk!!! Honestly. You have to define the terms assuming you are starting with people who have a simple newspaper level of astronomical understanding. Did you know that a 12AU7 was a dual pentode vacum tube? -{:O) More News!!!

It really would help if you could take a little time to visit the website, www.astroviewer.com. I think that following a Vaisnava lunar calendar should include understanding it. Furthemore, SP really made alot of emphasis of understanding the Vedic cosmology which is a the heart of the Vedic lunar calendar. If we don't do that, than why follow the lunar calendar at all? It would be alot simpler to just celebrate the same holiday's every year, just as we do with our birthdays. More later.

ASA -  Jaya!   Thank you.  AGTSP   In this Bhakti vaibhava course we are systematically reading the Bhagavatam and the declarations of Prabhupada are kind of to the contrary.   Not completely.  It is more like we should read about the creation, Sarga, Visarga, Virat rupa, Hiranya garbha, and get a reasonable understanding of these things, but it is not necessary to know then in all the detail that the SB presents them.  The same with Cosmology, Astrology, Ayurveda, we should have a practical understanding of them for our service and then we should be expert in the things that relate to our service.  For example, you probably have a reasonbly sane idea like we do why we are vegetarian and why we are not vegan, but we don't know the detailed statistics of animal abuse reactions of the brain to different bovine animal fats and other sources of fats and sugars.

To make a debate and convince people at that detailed level you need to know this.    So we need to know some general principles of astrology and to be able to judge you as an expert and then take your expert advice.

Here in dominican republic we are expanding our program, last night was one year we opened a preaching center here, to celebrate we had a program at the cultural center, 50 people came, 1 reporter, 1 judge and guests. we also began a food for life program which we do every saturday and one month ago opened a govinda resturaunt. although we are a small group of devotees by the mercy of prabhupada we are doing books, kirtan and food for life. now if only we can get maharaj here we would be complete.

          HpS - ASA -  Oink!   Oinnk!!!    AGTSP    paoho.     So nice to hear from Mr. Jaya!          Honestly we are 64 years old now.  Hair on our chest is almost 100 white/grey.   Our eyes are failing.  One tooth has already been taken by the Tooth Fairy to our next destination etc.  This is the last year, month that we are going to push it.  2013 our plan is "Monkey and Piggy Retire Timely".  2014 - 2024 whatever Krsna wants.  Whoop!     WHoop!            Domincan sounds nice!!!      We certainly want to stay in touch with it all!     If Krsna wants we certainly could have no objection.     -{:o)+

This week we received word from our lawyer that Mdd has received a five year visa. It cannot be because of something other than mercy, and i guess Radha Gopinath had a vision when we were both living in Radhadesh, because that mutual stay now offered us our legal means. With only a little more than two weeks of pregnancy left, this news came at the right time. Because of my parttime work and the pregnancy's crescendo our sleeping pattern is disturbed, and i miss the collective Japa Joe sessions. But chanting is going on nicely and without faltering, slowly getting more tasty

Still there is not much strength and focus there, i realize, especially when singing bhajan in a group. These don't come cheap! I am looking forward to Februari, when you'll visit Radhadesh. You asked me to prepare last May, and in this time i was shown so much, it is so wonderful! Because of my current situation i need to plan ahead, so if you still want to accept me as your disciple i ask if you can decide on some period in which the ceremony can take place. I ask you in this way because it is expensive for us as a family to stay in Radhadesh. We can visit for about four nights. I will ask the Amsterdam TP for a letter of recommendation. I look forward to your reply.

I also look forward to the development of your Journey to the Orient project. Thank you for the DTC updates, it's nice to read. Good luck and a good Hare Krishna time in the many programs.

 HpS - ASA -   Are you chanting 16 enthusiastic rounds/day, following four principles strictly, rising by 4AM (or Brahma muhurta) for Mangala arati, kirtan and Srimad Bhagavatam etc? Do you have a healthy relationship with the Sankirtan of Srila Prabhupada's ISKCON?  You have to keep this standard for one year before 1st initiation. Nothing has changed. {:0).     Then for your whole lif, then 2nd, 3rd... initiation.  Is a wonderful journey, but very personal and individual also. Was 11-years after Prabhupada met Srila Bhaktisiddhanta that he took initiation, no?

AGTSP     paoho.    Here we are in Cuenca, Ecuador.  It is colder than popsicles, but almost as sweet.      You may ask why we write, and the answer is simple, to stay awake. If we don't write we lose control of our mind.

Our mind is inherited the past refuse of generations of stupid garbage junk. If we don't write about the Krsna book then into this refuse it will dunk.

When we keep these storys from the KRSNA book in our head and heart, then they confront all information that comes from the bilge-water-world of Srimati Maya-devi's huge enventory of excruciating excreta, that we confront daily, and by the mercy of Hara, we can connect it all the Her service.

FIRST PLACE
The first history we heard from the KRSNA book was "The Story of the Shyamantaka Jewel", yet, however, but, we personally heard from Jayananda Das' lips, as we remember, that Srila Prabhupada said, that if you go on chanting "Hare Krishna" you will see pastimes that you never read in any of my books.

Once there was a King of the name, Satrajit... [What does the name mean??  "Jit" means to conquer, but "satra" we don't k'no] ... who lived within the juris diction of Dvaraka-dhama. [He lived on the island or D'ka had juris diction of land-lots also??]

He was a great devotee of the Sun god and therefor gradually entered into a very friendly relationship with him.   Because of this the Sun-god awarded him the jewel known as Shyamantaka, which, when he would wear it, in a locket hung around his neck, made him appear just like the Sun god with his dazzling effulgence.

One day, thus attired, he visited the city of Dvaraka... [stay tuned for more devolpments and/or read it or tell in to some one, or contemplate it, but somehow or other keep it on your mind.]
