I hope you are healthy, Maharaja.

I write to ask for some clarification on what you wrote in your annual report.

What did you mean when you wrote "you are on your own" referring to your grihastha disciples? You seem to be talking about illicit sex within marriage but as I understood, sex within marriage is not illicit.

Of course I have also heard that it should be regulated to once a month for the sole purpose of begetting children. I totally agree with this standard which Prabhupada gave.

However, the senior devotees whom my husband and I have taken counseling from have said different things. These devotees are GVT members and temple congregation devotees. And one GVT seminar we attended made the point that Prabhupada gave us the topmost principle to aspire for. My husband and I are definitely aspiring to follow that principle. So basically what I want to know is if I am is still considered a disciple of yours or not at all?

I truly think that Krishna sent you as my guru to guide me back to Him.

                      HpS - Jaya! AGTSP paoho. Very good question. This is a very argued point. For my own readings it has always been a very clear point. Sexual relations are normal, licit only when they are between a religiously married couple during wifes time of conception to get SUPER KIDS for Krsna.

The GBC even published a direct statement about this a few years ago. If anyone is presenting anything else and claiming ISKCON authority then please let us know. We should clatify these things.

All of these austerities are possible and natural.

Yes, we may deviate by accident, but we should want to correct ourselves quickly.

Maybe Prabhupada is strong enough to hang on to the rope when disciples are engaged in heavy Karma but we are not. I know Gurus who have fallen down trying to be Prabhupada in this sense, but we are glad to be Vartmana pradarshika Gurus again and help such disciples get back on the path and again be our regularly initiated disciples in the Parampara.

Is clear???  Certainly this is happy life. There is so much more to human marriage than that which is available to the hogs and dogs.  Let's get it!

2-Viernes 15 de enero: Conferencia sobre CARL JUNG. 19:30 HRS en Casa Museo de PABLO NERUDA (en Bellavista, Santiago). Sólo 40/45 invitados  (profesores, psicólogos, poetas, periodistas, etc).

3-Martes 21 de enero: Charla intoductoria más película "La Luz del Bhagavata" en Cineteca Nacional del Centro Cultural Palacio la Moneda. 21:15 hrs. Evento masivo para 250 invitados!

Son super las programas. Aqui con Abhimanyu y Jagat guru Das estamos planificando cosas tambien. Llegamos temprano Domingo y podemos hablar antes de la fiesta de domingo, no?

Dear Maharaja

First  answer you questions and recomendations.  We are still in Wash DC visiting parents but unable to get books from the DC Temple,  we sent a letter through their Facebook account but no response. As far as we know no devotee lives near my parents place,  the only rides we can get to the temple are from my sisters who can't spare that time, family, work, etc   So we are focusing on our rounds and Gita, bhajans plus watching classes on youtube, we found a good number of your lectures and classes there, jaya !  Also we are putting our faith out in the open and presenting it to my family,  mother is very open and even enthusiastic, she even remembers you from Lima back in the 90's.  We offered prasadam cooked by her and spoke about Krsna and the Gita to father, mother and sister.  We accompanied sister and niece yesterday to the natural history museum (full of people) and after some stroll around the exhibits, including the new Genome hall, we sat and chanted on our japa while sister watched an ice age movie.  The realization flowed to us on the purpose and importance of the Vedic Planetarium project in Mayapur, The Gita Museum in LA and Srila Prabhupada's wish to have a Vedic-Bhagavata dharma  museum or exhibit here in DC  right next to the Mall where all the big ones are. We contemplated the consciousness that this places enhance on people the "matter and science  is all"  really partial view of nature and science,    sad the Wash DC temple had to move out to MD Potomac cause there is no center in DC now and no devotees distributing books on the metros or streets except on especial occasions. (but they do have sponsorship programs)  On a positive note we gave a Gita and a Higher Taste books to sister at home.  We are paying closer attention to the NIOS program,  understanding the methodology etc   we found interesting links to  "Beyond Illusion and Doubt"  and  Life comes from Life,  as well as the careful presentation of Vedic cosmology and philosophy of nature in your essays and powerpoints.    We go back to (caveman) Montreal the 9th,  we live there what can we do,  Toronto is actually the happening place for all things beyond matter and illusion but haven't been there since July.

Mi muy estimado Gurudeva.

El día de ayer usted, Gurudeva, nos habló del Tema Educativo en ISKCON, en la reunión que tuvimos, y luego trató esto mismo en la clase de Bhagavad Gita. Me conmovió mucho escucharlo como tantas veces repite lo importante que es la EDUCACIÓN EN ISKCON. Personalmente me siento profesora de nacimiento, lo soy también por profesión y en el servicio.

Si, si, si, la PRÉDICA es educación, y cuando se habla de educación formal, como el Bhakti Sastri, se habla de educación sistemática, una prédica sistemática es una prédica profunda y necesita de la voluntad, paciencia y entusiasmo del que habla, del que escucha y de todos. Y esto puede lograrse con una sería comprensión del significado de convertirse en educado y de convertir a otros.

Encontrar devotos que tengan objetivos similares en el servicio es realmente una gran opulencia, hago votos para que en esta vida, mientras tenga fuerzas, pueda yo, gozar el placer de esa opulencia, tantas cosas lindas se podrían hacer, para el placer de Srila Prabhupada.

Me reprocho ser tan materialista en cultivar tremendo deseo, en lugar de seguir haciendo lo que hago y sentirme satisfecha, pero soy honesta en decírselo. Tal vez sea sólo una ilusión en mi mente, sentir que puedo dar más, y una excusa sentirme atada por las condiciones de la mujer; ¿realmente tengo poca pasión o es que no encuentro una respuesta a mi plegaria?

¿Qué puedo hacer me pregunto cada día? y me respondo mantenerme cantando Hare Krsna, en mi servicio y orando a Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. De todo corazón, querido Gurudeva, muchas gracias por escucharme. Siempre 16 rondas, 4 principios, gayatri, lectura de los libros de Srila Prabhupada, mi servicio.

              HpS - Jaya!  TlgaSP.  pfanrh.  Claro, Srila Prabhupada comenzando ISKCON cuando era muy viejo, no? No hay excusa para nosotros no hacer nada. Que piensa de esforzar desarrollar un centro en Chosika. Hay terenos, casas de invitados de 20 personas, clubes con jardin,patios grandes disponibles? Como 8 devotees puede unirse y comprar algo y desarrollar como casa personal segure y centro de educacion??

   Espero que usted estè bien de salud. En mi corazòn usted està siempre. En mi habitaciòn tambièn hay una foto suya cerca del cuadro de Tulasi devi, de Krisna y del Señor Nrisimha para que lo proteja mucho.

  Ahora estoy en Potosì en Bolivia, viajando para distribuir libros. Bueno estoy culminando ya el segundo año de ventas del segundo libro cientìfico de autoayuda que escribì "Dinero Amor y Salud" en el que recomiendo la reconexiòn con el Supremo, mediante el canto del maha mantra Hare Krisna, recomiendo la lectura de los libro de Srila Prabhupada, y tambièn el cultivo de las cualidades divinas que Srila Prabhupada menciona en el Bhagavad Gita. Estoy contento de entregar el  maha mantra a miles de personas que leen el libro. La vez pasada vi en Cochabamba a una chica con el libro subrayado en las manos, se le veìa muy feliz. Pienso que este libro lo compran personas, que desean dinero, amor y salud, pero se encuentran con algo superior encontrando a Prabhupada y el maha mantra, y por eso me siento bien, y aùn pienso que es mi deber seguir distribuyèndolos. Esta ciudad, Potosì, aunque muy frìa y muy alta (4,000 mts. sobre el nivel del mar) tiene gente muy buena, en realidad muy favorable.

  Sigo los 4 principios regulativos, canto mis 16 rondas, aunque tambièn reconozco que a veces no las culmino, y debo terminarlas al dìa siguiente, o las culmino mientras distribuyo libros en la ciudad.

  Le entrego mi vida. Su aspirante a sirviente. Vrsabhanu das.
