Pero, claro, levantar temprano es un "truco" material aun transcendental essential para mejorar las rondas. Meditacion no es lo que piensas! Es mas, cambio de perspectivo. Eso requiere esfuerza!

. . . I wanted to ask what is the position of cow protection in ISK sankirtana activities? how do we connect cow protection to chanting of holy names....

      HpS - We will take your word for it and the word we have heard from others we trust, and not watch the video. The devotees in Australia had a plan to blow up a slaughter-house near the Temple. They indirectly asked Prabhupada about this when he was there and he answered (we heard this from Caru Das, President), "What is the use. They will simply build a new one. Unless the consciousness, attitude, is changed they will not stop". So that is the answer, no? We have to individually try to improve our efforts to educate the world, our part of the world, as fingers of Lord Caitanya. Of course, Kirtan, personal, and engaging the ignorant is the best way to educate.

Other point is that this is the material world and all the cows who are getting tortured were people who tortured cows. We want to help them very, very much, but they are NOT innocent.

Bhaktina Belen Salinas

Bhakta Camilo ( currently in Australia yatra)

Bhaktin Belen has been doing service nicely for over 6 months and she is assisting the devotees in the pujari department. She is a nice young devotee that has a lot to learn and we hope you can consider her your servant.

Bhakta Camilo has lived in the ashrama the past year with us and now he traveled to Australia Yatra to live there.

He was doing book distribution and helping with the preaching programs here in B-aires. He followed nicely the morning programs and chant his rounds daily while he was here. Please consider him you sincere servant as well.

I also have news regarding bhakti luis ( AKA the baker)

Luis moved into the temple, he rented a room in the temple and wants to stay for a while with Us to recieved proper trainning. He works at the temple restaurant, few days a week and also do a lot of service in the temple. He has a baby boy Hari who he sees a couple of days  a week. Luis rented his house so he can have some fix income, he uses half of that income to give to his child and the other have to rent a room in the temple. Also he works a the temple restaurant and uses that income for his own expenses.

We are going to take care of luis and help him to advance and rise him up to the level of a worthy  servant  and disciple.

We hope to see you again this year, please let me know when wuold you be coming to baires and please try to plan your visit anytime but december since we want the devotees to focus on the book distribution marathon.

We should come to South America for two months during Feb-Apr. In Dec we are already pretty fixed for Tennessee to give some motivation to the preaching here!!!

Gurudeva, I have been chanting and reading. I still have problems getting to the temple, but I have started a Bhagavad Gita study group so that I can have some association. Luckily Lord Jagganatha threw a parade close to my house so I was able to see His smiling face recently.

This semester is drawing to an end and I am actively working on a report in one of my linguistics course to examin how Srila Prabhupada's use of English has effected the English of ISKCON and if second wave devotees are using language in the same was as Prabhupada's diciples. It is interesting to look at all of the subtle ways in which we have been touched by Srila Prabhupada. I hope to extend this project in the future to use as the basis for my master's thesis.

HpS - ASA - Aaaaaah. Such a nice study, but how can you do it without getting to the Temple to study how the devotees use English???  Seems you must be looking at both in their written format?? Is nice..

I have momentarily quite studying Japanese to focus more on my sadhana and my major and spritualizing my linguistics study.

      HpS - ASA -  Jaya! AGTSP Paoho......  I think I am what you will be in 15-years more of being a devotee if you continue struggle as you are.

I write you because i want to thank you for your last response  to my last letter, i do have to say  i didn't  understand completely what you saidat that moment , until the other day , i started family constellations with ekanta bhakti , the day that i started i didn't feel any change , but 4 days later i was walking and suddenly it hit me , i remember what you told me , and im trying to act according to that Gurudeva, so , first of all  : thank you sooo much! i feel very lucky to have you as a Guru.

So I'm trying to take advantage of a  bad period for me , and its starting to get better , i remember also  that when i told you i was moving here you said: you are trading headache for stomachache, now i get it .

Anyway I'm going to the altar on Wednesday, i cook for Them, Belen help me to cut the vegetables and its very nice :), also she is teaching me my first harmonium melody, I'm excited because I always wanted to sing , but I never learned any instrument,

HpS - ASA - We are at most 7% self-made, 93% Srila Prabhupada, Krsna-Guru made. So that is where your inspiration is coming from! Now you have to pass it on to others. You have to become guru also.
