How do I reply to your comments on my letters on this forum? I only see an option to make a new letter so that is what I am doing as my reply to you here: http://hps.monkeywarrior.com/node/6362 Your reply to my very serious offering is very confusing! You have replied: "Maybe Krsna will send you a used ice cream trick with super mileage and a loud speaker." I was seriously begging for blessings, making myself vulnerable publicly to the vaishnavas, humbly trying to be responsible and offer our lives to Srila Prabhupada's service, as well as making a HUGE investment in this regard. I am confused by your reply. Are you making fun of me and my fiancee and our offering our lives to Srila Prabhupada? Are you trying to humiliate us, curse us, or put us down?? What is the meaning of your words (quoted above)? Please forgive my confusion. It is a very serious huge financial investment I am legally bound by and I am putting myself at great risk for. Trying to be of some service to Srila Prabhupada's Sankirtana mission. It appears to me that you are cursing me to get an old Ice cream truck with high mileage. I am sorry, but I have 20 solid years of traveling sankirtana experience and breaking down due to having an old vehicle. Then having to pay so much of Krishna's laksmi and time to fix it etc taking away from funds and time that would have other-wise be used for book distribution and preaching is very unfortunate. This takes away fromt the sankirtana yajna. I unfortunately have all too much experience of this. That is why we are buying a new vehicle. I am feeling very fearful of the future (now that you appear to be cursing my offering) and I am hurt by your reply. Please forgive any offences I have made in my trying to be of service and taking care of my fiancee. HpS - Hare Krsna. Tried to reply immediately, but we are in Kolkata and could not connect. We were not cursing you. This is just our "Hanuman", frivolous nature which has been noted by many ISKCON devotees and even Bharat-bharati Gold Medal winners in India. Tamal Krsna Maharaja told me that we had very different natures but it was very important for his disciples to have my association also and gave me a $50 donation. I hope we can all understand our natural differences and stimulate each other. Basically I think Krsna will send you the vehicle you need!

Before all, I've got to say I don't know how to start a letter to a Spiritual Master, in fact, to the person I desire to be my instructor in Krsna Consciousness; so, I ask you, beforehand, to forgive me for any mistake or offense I could do... I'm just a neophyte.

I salute you with a deep respect, all the glories for you, all my reverences for you, Srila Prabhupada and, also, for all devotees of our Lord, Sri Krsna.

I hope you remember me, this is the first time I write to you, my name is Carlos, I'm from Santiago of Chile.  I'm Visvanath's brother in law. 

We had a first talk in 21st January 2014, an interview for a magazine, in the cultural center of the government palace. This year, the same month, we had others brief conversations into the ISKCON Congress in Chile, also you shared a few words with my daughter, infinite thanks for that, Guru Maharaj. That time, you told me that I can write to you.

I just wanna let you know a very brief summary about my life after the congress. 

7th february, sunday, a devotee girl gave me my Tulsi Kanthi necklace, and the same day, a few hours later, one of your disciples, Garga-Acarya Das, gave me my Japamala. That was a very magical day. 

8th february, monday, early monrning, I started to chant Maha Mantra with my Japamala, just praying a few rounds, chanting everyday, progressively increasing.

February 17, wednesday, I finally got to the 16 rounds. Since then, some days I could chant 18 or over 20 rounds. Now, 16 rounds are so hard to chant, but I can do it anyway, 16 at least, with great effort.

Since a few months ago, everyday I read The Bhagavad Gita and also other books of Srila Prabhupada. Some days I go out into the street to distribute books of Srila Prabhupada.

Since august 2015, I've been involved in a deep problem around my daughter, it affects my whole family, this circumstance continues developing. 

Every week I have been sharing time, many hours talking, with another of your chilean  disciples, Ananda Vardhana Das. And also, I have been talking with Rodrigo, as you told me, about the book I wanna write.

I wanna be your friend.

I would really like to send a personal message to you, how can I do it? I hope this is possible. 

Everyday I think of Krsna and Srila Prabhupada. And everyday I think about your person, Guru Maharaj. I've got an altar in my bedroom, can I put a picture of you, please? 

Hoping to hearing from you soon, I'm deeply grateful for this opportunity that you have given me...

HpS - Hare Krsna. I didn't know you were Visvanatha's brother in law. I wrote to the address on the magazine card you gave me but never heard from you. Japa is the basis. Get 16-nice round done early and then you can solve family problems etc well. It gets better and better. Write again after a few weeks more of following Srila Prabhupada.

Our suggestion is that you have to learn how to take education from local Brahmanas, not just us and Prabhupada. O. K? At this stage we can like any Visnnu form, but put practical focus had to be on Lord Caitanya. NoI 5 tells us how to get advice with different levels of devotees! ###### Very Dear Hanumat Presaka Swami Maharaja. Please accept my most humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada! How are you? How is your health? I got worried when I resd that you were doing better but still with fever... And you always giving a perfect example of Sadhana, amongst many other things too, even with fever and all... I always admired and thought of you as an example in this matter. Thank very much for your responses. I've been reading NOI verse 8 and the SB C5 verses you told me. I needed those answers, Thank You. Reading more NOI 8 and investigating more, I know now that our Istha Deva is Krsna and no one else. Is this right? (still confused why I like so much Lord Nrsimhadeva.. is that wrong that I think more of Him than Krsna?..) I read that in India is common to "search" one's Istha Deva as that who will satisfy our wishes from our nature. But I understand this as worshipping demigods when they are not Visnu-tattvas and desires are material, right?And the funny fact is that everybody's common Istha Deva is Lord Visnu. Please tell me how should Lord Nrsimhadeva be prayed and worshipped then. I was told many sifferent things: protection, serve Krsna well, become Nrsimha's devotees and do our Ksatriya nature dutties... I'm confused. I want to follow official authorized instructions. I trust yours and SP's. Sorry for making so much questions, but I don't want to speculate or be unloyal to Srila Prabhupada. And you once again for the following: When I was 6 months in the movement I started having serious troubles. Some because of my mistakes, others not. A devotee told me that since things were getting so hard, I pray to Lord Nrsimhadev more seriously. He presented me the Nrsimha Kavaca. I read it and felt much attraction to it. I was very naive and accepted the kavaca without knowing if I should. I was remembering its meaning while chanting (as well as the Nrsimha Pranam! But now Im studying it word from word as you told me) and liked it more and more. I always liked to remember it at other moments in the day, while serving, having Prasadam, etc. Like repeating it in my insides. I felt protected and helped since I was alone and helpless. Troubles slowly disappeared. Even being very big troubles spiritually and materially. The devotee who gave it to me turned to be a bad influence for me and many others. We found out late, I was already chanting for 2 months by then. Troubles seemed to be gone by then and being the source of the kavaca not good, I decided to, with respect and grateful to Lord Nrsimha, stop chanting His kavaca. Concentrate only in MM. After 3 months, same heavy troubles and difficult in spiritual life returned. And a year after, my spiritual life was going lower and lower. Until November 2015 when I felt again to ask for help to Lord Nrsimhadeva. Slowly things got better. Again, another devotee appeared and told me "you can chant Ugram Veeram to ask for further help to the Lord, devotees in Mayapur do it so". Dear Maharaja, I've been too stupid, or naive. Out of despair I've been taking help from devotees who right after went out to light they were not-so-fixed devotees. I don't want to do anything that Srila Prabhupada hasn't said, or it's unauthorized, or I am not prepared. And somehow I am getting all this info about the Lord and kavacas without even asking, even a Nrsimha Kavaca armlet which is travelling from Mayapur now as a gift for me, not even askinh for it... You are the only one that I am oficially asking and want to follow instructions, authorized prayers suitable for my level. I feel very safe and good when I sing Nrsimha Kavaca. I feel and experienced unprotected when I don't. I chanted it 8 months of my lifr until now. I meditate in it's meaning and I like to Glorify the Lord with it, not just ask for His protection. But I don't want to do anything without permission. Neither outside SP's instructions. Same for Ugram Veeram mantra. I told the devotee who is giving me the Nrsimha Kavaca armlet if that shouldn't ge given only by one's Guru only. He told me in Mayapur they just sell these to everybody. Still I feel in the need to ask for permission and blessings. What do I do with all this? Your wellwisher and aspirant to serve, NRDD

I hope iur health is OK, I know that iur utsahan is always good and U are an amazing devotee of Lord Rama and u are always under His shelter!

We have ours ups and downs in general, but fixed in ISKCON,4p ok, 16 rounds.. ummm we have some to catch up on... our rounds are not good enough but we continue with faith on the Holl1y Names...

We continue in charge of pujari, but is not the same as before, we try to work nicely along with the junta,a job that is not easy. Nevertheless we had a very nice Nityananda Trayodasi Festival, more than 108 preparations...

We continue teaching BS... Mani Sati Sita is our student, and maybe some devotees from ecuador and Colombia, they are devotees who Deva deva das know

I am traveling to Bs As hope to meet Srila Krsna Keetra Maharaja! Hope to gain inspiration about deity worship from Him... He is presenting his book about deity worship

FMP is still alive... Sananda is the most regular in the program, miss U so much Gurudeva

HpS-ASA - Your letters are so refreshing for us. Are you doing to many things? Maybe you should just be doing one thing. What is that?

I left Murari farm 3 weeks ago on OK terms. I didn't tell them the real reasons I was leaving because I didn't want conflict. I could tolerate the differences in opinion to an extent but the criticisms went too far and they were making heavy offenses toward you and Iskcon. Alyssa stayed there and is taking shelter of them hoping for initiation. I am living on my parents land with them and have been feeding them prasadam. I'm about to plant a big orchard and gardens. I am pretty busy with this project, working outside and reading up on sustainable methods, permaculture etc. Adjusting to living here  has been a little hard, slipped up on 4 regs and sadhana went down. Now I'm getting more serious and doing better, chanting has gotten easier I have been doing 16 rounds the past 3 days my vow is at least 10. I'm following the 4 regs, reading NOD plus calling advanced devotees for an hour everyday to read CC together, and hearing lectures all day long. This will be my permanent residence from now on. I'm hoping to get this farm going and make a small living selling produce at farmers markets plus distribute Prabhupada's books from our stand. Hoping to go out and distribute books at local colleges or in saint Louis at least once a week as well. And also planning to attend Stl temple every week, it's an hour away. I've been missing your association a lot. Hopefully I can visit you when you come back to Murfreesboro.

HpS - Hare Krsna. Very nice to hear from you. Your plans seem pretty cool. Don't be so attached to those that it puts pressure on the Regs and Japa! When you mentioned some one was criticising us we were a little shocked and almost laughed. We can't think of our selves as being big enough to even be noticed, what to speak of criticised. I hope things get sorted out at Murari. This process of initiation there is confusing us. What kind of trees will you plant?
