Taking Shelter

Dear Maharaja

PAMHO

All Glories to Srila Prabhupada

I enjoy reading the letters sent to your grace and posted here.  The energy, activities,  personal notes, and affection for you that is displayed in the letters is insperational and enderaing, as well as facinating.  We are all very greatful for the many lives you have enriched by your generous mercy.

HpS - I think it is the colossal effort of Srila Prabhupada to use every resource.

  Our visit to the Boise Temple was spirtually energizing.  The deities are beautuful and the devotees are terrific.  It was so nice to take your association.  Thank you.  We have family and grandkids visiting from Colorado next week.  Hopefully we can make a difference in their lives.  I must admit I am disappointed that our other grandkids are not very interested in taking advice from us.  There is so much I could help them with.  You can lead a horse...  They're good kids so I don't worry about them.

We would be delighted and  fortunate if you could come for a visit.  There are many devotees who are more deserving of your association and many homes more appropriate than ours for you to stay, but all of the devotees here pray that you can find the time to come for a visit.

I remain your unworthy servant,  Dave pabhu

HpS - It was so nice seeing asked spending time with you. You have such a wholesome perspective on life. Your home and association is super but just for geographic we are looking more at the Easy coast.

Please send it's news as it happens. Are you in a city?

HpS ASA. - Hare Krsna. Prioridades, no?

Hare Krsna!!!        The wind it blows,
The snow it grows,
But naught the matter if our rain-coat holds.

Do the things around us touch our heart?
Are we conscious of what is happening in our heart?
I am very conscious of my face: The set of my lips, the tensions in my eyes.
Is my face happy???       Aaaah, then "I" must be happy.

We see some happy things in the world around: Trazan married Jane, but then we see how this affects our heart.

What is in your heart?
We try to put the light of God therein. To sing and dance and before it bend.
To saturate the world around with the love we find from it.
To let the tale of T and Jane, but reconciled with this base, in our heart.

===============

We didn't get up until too late!    FMP was very robust with 11-participants.
Then we offer Potato potage to Lord and kept half in our tiffin for lunch.
Japa, banking research, calls MOE with good results, off to the Smyrna Medical Center to meet with Dr. Amit Singh. We got lost in the GIGANTIC maze, but he found us and looked at our leg.
"It's not going to go away", hesitant pause, "I think you should go on the steriods again".
We walked across the lobby. $15. 15-capsules for 15-days.

simple "cookie or something similar" recipe

9 years ago by Namacarya das in Special Category A

Dear Guru Maharaja, please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
As per the request of  His Excellency Uncle Gismo, here is one simple "cookie or something similar" recipe.
NO BAKE CAROB SWEETS
3 cups fine oat-flakes (made to powder in blender)
1 cup dried grated coconut
1/2 cup walnut
1/4  carob powder
1/2   cup butter
1/2 cup milk
sweetener: as you like (we use Muscovado sugar)

Preparation: mix all and make balls or patties (we make balls).
~~~
According to my expirience this recipe is simple, fast and easy to make, it has nice consistency, and is open to different variations of sweeteners, nuts, butter and milk. In our family, it has Vaisnava name already, from devotee who gave us the recipe (Darpaha prabhu).
Your servant Namacarya das
ASA - Can you mail them? Do they keep well for long time with warm weather?
How is your family?
GBC Report
Hare Krsna, Prabhus,
AGTSP
paoho
We leave for Lima on the 15th.  Our main focus there is this symposium being
sponsored by us, NIOS, and the Peruvian National Library.  It has come along
very, very well. We feel like a passenger on a great Cruise Ship. Is beyond our
means to control. The participants are very, very respected, nice people from
Peru, Chile, Canada, Mexico, India etc.
For example, Beverley Zabriskie. She was co-founder of the Jungian Society in
New York and the Philemon Foundation which has an enormously popular following
and is dedicated to publishing the many unpublished works of Jung. Prabhupada
said that of all the Western philosophers, Jung seemed to have the most sense,
and his modern followers seem to fall in that category. It is like preaching to
Sukadeva Goswami and the four Kumaras sometimes.
She is also an arti critic for the New York Times.
We hope to have the results of this symposium available for all of you soon.
Ask us any questions you want to.
While there we will be staying at Abhirama's house in Lima with SB classes
available for anyone. We will go to Wilson for two evening programs. We will go
to Bolivia for a week and Chosica for about 10-days.
If you have any advice please contact us!
