This is bhakta Guimo, Guna Vira Das, which Initiation Ceremony was on Sunday 14th January on:

“Makara-saṅkrānti [the day when the sun begins to move north]” as stated on SB 7.14.20-23.

Guru Maharaja informed us that this holy name means:

“Servant of the husband of the sister of the grandfather of KRSNA”.

And later He allowed this servant to research about that illustrious personality. I searched on the Bhaktivedanta VedaBase 2003 software, as well as the online version. Also, on vanipedia.org and on: names.iskcondesiretree.com and finally asked beloved and saavy Harilila Das Prabhú in order to verify the sources.

Currently, we know pretty much the same, just expanding the names… That Gunavira Maharaja is the husband of the sister (Mother Suverjana) of the father (Parjanya Maharaja) of the father (Nanda Maharaja) of Sri KRSNA. Both Gunavira and Suverjana, the expert hdancer, resi

Guru Maharaja nos informó que este santo nombre significa: “Siervo del marido de la hermana del abuelo de KRSNA”.

Y luego Él permitió que este siervo investigara sobre aquella ilustre personalidad. Busqué en el software Bhaktivedanta VedaBase 2003, así como en la versión en línea. También en vanipedia.org y en: names.iskcondesiretree.com y finalmente le pregunté al querido y sabio Harilila Das Prabhú para verificar las fuentes.

Actualmente, sabemos más o menos lo mismo, sólo ampliando los nombres… Que Gunavira Maharaja es el esposo de la hermana (Madre Suverjana) del padre (Parjanya Maharaja) del padre (Nanda Maharaja) de Sri KRSNA. Tanto Gunavira como Suverjana, la bailarina experta, residen(¿residían?) en Surya-kunda.

His Holiness Hanumat Presaka Maharaja illuminates anyone who hears his classes.

His presence is as brilliant as the Sun.

His fierce intellect drives away the ignorance in our hearts and helps us make room for the Supreme Personality of Godhead in a most powerful and beautiful way.

Today is the most blessed event of his Holy Appearance.

Quoting Srila Prabhupada’s offering to his beloved Gurudeva:

“Adore adore ye all this day. Blessed than heaven, sweeter than May”…

Let’s join prayers together today and every day to beg His Holiness Hanumat Presaka Maharaja to please give us a tiny drop of his great mercy to re dedicate ourselves to the mission of ISKCON with patience, enthusiasm and determination remembering his fully surrendered example.

A requirement, agtSP, for anyone taking Diksa from us, under the authority of Srila Prabhupada and his ISKCON, is that they file an Annual Report. Basically this has to be filed at the Reports link listed in this Blog.

An annual report to the Add Letter link is not sufficient.

These are formalities, but not meaningless formalities.

We remember how Srila Prabhupada was saying that all these televisions were not useful. (We understand that traveling Puppet shows and local Puppet shows are better).

He said that in the whole world maybe two, three dozen televisions were needed.

One in Moscow. One in Beijing. One in the Vatican. One in...

... people develop memories! People talk with their neighbors. Brahmanas like Vyasa deva can give people like Sanjaya TV in their hearts.

WHTSTSPS (we heard they say that srila prabhupada said) that if you follow strictly and your children follow strictly then your grandchildren will be traveling on flying carpets.

HpS/ASA - AgtSP. Paoho. You are already fortunate. This Blog is like a great source of DTC. We see several more letters with titles DTC. It is good orientation for us.

I guess we can send some back to Peru, some to Mexico, distribute some here. Keep some for later distribution here... and we can bring some to Spain (ISKCON Czech Republic) or send them!

There seems to be about 15-25% in each one that might be worth publishing, so whoever gets one could edit and distribute that.
