Hare Krsna, Hare Rama,

| Jaya Radhe, Jaya Shyama! |

Death is starring us in the face.

Has our Hari-kirtan any semblance of manifesting the Form, Character, Associates, and Pastimes of Radha Shyama Sundara?

In our daily life, our Bhava includes so many things: Neighborhood, Nation, Friends and Community.

Now it is at 6.00PM. Darkness is coming.

We are alone in our little, old, rickety cottage.

. Hare Krsna .

We just want to live in a physical ambience that will keep us as a little, little, choir mouse at the feet of His Divine Grace, Srila Prabhupada.

Who's life is adventure and fun at every moment in the service of Lala and Lali!, and Sri Vrndavana Dhama!

Wandering Miscreants WW9

bhil bhari,

was wandering in the jungle looking for fruits and roots that were easily available.

he found 16,227,338 different varieties of cactus plants that did not want their leaves to be eaten, but budged out fruits, that they wanted to be eaten, and their only request was that the eater defecate the undigestible seeds within their excrement some distance from the father plants.

then the species would spread.

he would bring sacks back to THE VILLAGE and distribute them to worthy folk.

like most people, he did not have any friends.

he thought real friends were hard to find.

then...

one day...

he was walking in the jungle/forest, and dells, of 'saura nunubee' and saw a 'sadhu' traveling with one 'brahmana' and one servant.

'ho, bho, dude', he said!

'KRSNA, KRSNA, KRSNA, KRSNA', said the sadhu [who was tall, aristocratic]!

'huh'. said bhila bihari?

"KRSNA, KRSNA,

KRSNA, KRSNA, KRSNA, KRSNA, KRSNA, HE," Dude said again! Right in his face, hands, heart!

"KRSNA, KRSNA,

KRSNA, KRSNA, KRSSS...

...NA, KRSNA, KRSNA, Pahi mam"'

bh b understood that HE was asking, 'where is KRSNA'???

'where is KRSNA'?

. . .

HE was completely focused on him.

bh bil just stood there.

here was someone who intensely wanted his comradship for all eternity.

in an understanding always increasing, integrating, way.

HE wanted what he could give.

HE wanted what he could discover that he could give.

''Hare Krsna, Hare Rama''.

took HIM to heart.

never let HIM depart.

KRSNA the supreme 'sat'.

t. brown here. 🐵 🐒🐒 We learned how to insert these emos quickly. Type a ':' then follow it with a key-word like 'monkey', and the emo menu appears etc.

it, the sun, is at 9.51pm.

it was a very, very full day, and productive.

lettuce give it an UG 75% success score.

we are camped in richmond metroplex. innsbrook. in the 'azrAm' (harvard-kyoto translitertion) of subal sakha das and family.

it is great.

we are dying

but

in a pretty satisfying way.

our donkey is going blind, losing hearing, suffocating etc.

our accomodations are nice.

wish we had a platform for a yoga mat rather than a soft. bead, but this is the material world, kali-yuga.

is nice.

we are not attracted to meditate on how nice our camp is.

Good, no?

conscious of the transit lounge just enough to do our work.

'devotional service is not a matter of imaginative ecstacy or sentimental speculation. Rather, it is practical activity in the foreground of spiritual life', NoI (?) 3.

travel from nashville was safe.

we got a cover for the mercedes with subal so that it is in the shade and birds don't defecate on it!

reception by shyam-giri-dhari das et al has been great.

FMS and at least one big program every day.

Diksa in the Temple.

Hari-nama in the Hippy Heaven.

Sunday Festival w/ 40+devotees live and online in Subal's home this morning.

Honoring Prasadam 90% under control by HpS/BW/UG and local cooks efforts.

Writing a Walmart Composition Book [will try to photo] to leave behind of our visit, 'as sannyasi should leave something in writing', WRSPS [we remember SP said]. hopefully it will go to Office Max, get chopped, scanned into jpeg images, spiral bound and on-line distibuted.

are our and hps's stuff worth reading?

well there are 8-billion people in the world who could demand an iskcon guru, so i guess that even you, me and hps have some people to serve.

main thing is that all of our writings just serve to illuminate, improve access to, his divine grace srila a. c. bhaktivedanta swami prabhupada, founder acharya of iskcon and author of the book KRSNA, the SPOG!

Good night.

daily sb reading [https://vedabase.io/en/library/noi/3/#bb5883]

Today SB 1.15.41 and 42 because we are preparing for our eminent death, and trying to do it by chanting with an eye to Sankhya is very appealing.

We remembered Maharaja Yuddishira's preparations and then looked them up.

Is very interesting.

We clicked on 'juhAva' in the word-for-word and usually it indicated offering into a fire sacrifice. That is nice.

Also, we were thinking that Srila Prabhupada wrote these purports before he came to USA and had chance to refine his English, though he had young devotees edit them, no?

'Study my purports to the bone!'

So, we have a call into Srinivasa Das to discuss the translation.

It is so, so nice reading these purports after several years. We may have read them like five times over the past 40-50 years.

They are tantalizingly fresh each time.

How do you find them?

Do they help your service?

Maybe we are not trying to directly follow the Sankhya-yoga of Maharaja Yuddhisthira or Lord Kapila, but we should see the same Sankhya results from our Yoga that are described here.

'For every process in the Astanga yoga system, there is a corresponding process in the Bhakti-yoga system.'

Purport: "The material color of the mind is changed when one washes it clean of the contaminations of life-breathing..."

This phrase, "life-breathing", struck us very strongly the first time we read it and we have cited it several times in lectures and meditated upon it as we do our Japa, Kirtan, honor Prasadam.

Practice not breathing when you are chanting. Go on chanting. Make your tongue and jaw move, keep the mind on the Mantra, but see what happens to your body.

We breath to get life.

We eat to get Prana that we can feel filling and circulating in our bones and body, but - we can get the same 'life' from the Mantra.

Ohhh! Wow! Hmm? 🤔

We must learn to do that. We must learn to live without being 'colored' by the material atmosphere, air. Live atop the Himalayas.

-0-0-0-

The we thought of SB 5.5.5 that SP cites in NoI etc. etc. etc. Has same idea? Let us look. 🙄

SB 5.5.5 - 'karma-ātmakam — absorbed in material activities' is the phrase that SP cites in NoI, but did not see it discussed here. Maybe it was prenoted in the previous verse. SP discussed them together in NoI. 5.5.4 is a memory verse.

Do you know it?

Try to chant it now.

. . .

No karma-ātmakam is not there in 5.5.4 but we remember nice discussion in NoI.

🚙

Let us look up how Bhisma deva left his body.

[UG: We discovered that if you put a colon [ : ] and follow it with words, the emo list shows up!

SB 1.9.43, no, no Sankhya there. . . . O.K. . . . . Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare!!

Let the Hari-kirtan guide us in our recitation of SB.

😃
