All Glories to Srila Prabhupada!

His Holiness Lokanatha Swami sent us the following information:
This year World Holy Name Week is from September 17 - September 26. Your planning of your participation should start NOW!
Here is some of the ideas, from WHNW committee, on what we can do during

WHNW.
1. Nagar Sankirtan - Harinaam processions with WHNW and mahamantra banners.
2. 24 hours and/or 12 hours Sankirtan yajna - Non-stop kirtan for 24/12
hours.
3. Japathon - Pledges from devotees and congregation to chant extra rounds
during this period.
4. Morning Bhagvatam class on Holy names as the theme - Morning Bhagvatam
classes emphasizing on glories and importance of Holy Names.
5. Japa Seminars – Seminars on japa related topics e.g japa reform, 10
offenses, types of japa etc
6. Japa Retreats – Group of devotees do japa retreat camps under proper
leadership and guidence.
7. Sunday feast lectures & dramas – Preasentations based on importance of
Holy names and related topics.
8. Japa Booth – Putting a table with beads and pamhplets in the temple
encouraging new comers to get the beads and chant.
9. Inter Faith events - Invite other religions/faiths for Kirtans and other
Holy Name related events.
10. Radio Shows - Broadcasting Hare Krishna Kirtans, specially Srila
Prabhupada dhun on radio.
11. Holy Name walks - Padyatras to nearby towns and villages to distribute
holynames, prabhupada books and Prasad.
12. Harinaam concerts - Arrange Harinaam concerts (Kirtan in different
styles and many musical instruments) for public.
13. Celebrities - Get the cricket/Film stars and other celebrities for
public chanting events During WHNW.
14. Banners - Post Hare krishna mahamantra and WHNW banners/hoardings
throughout the citiy/town/villages.
15. Newspapers adverisement- WHNW articles/advertisements in newspapers
16. Media - Call media groups for events coverage for TV/Radio/Newspapers
etc
17. Inter-faith conventions on Holy Name – Invite other religion/faiths for
dialouge on holy names of God.
18. Giftshop SALE – Special discount on Kirtan/bhajan CD’s/DVD’s during
this period.
 
19. Truck Kirtan - Performing kirtan from moving motorized vehicles like
flatbed trucks, double decker buses, etc. This produces an effect of a
moving stage.
20. Harinam Rathcart - Just like many people are attracted to Jagananatha
Rathayatra, and enjoy pulling the cart and serving the Lord, similarly,
people will be attracted to pulling a cart with Harinam Prabhu on the cart.
A procession with big Harinaam posters, nicely decorated on the cart with
loud kirtan along with distribution of parsadam, mahamantra stickers &
Srila Prabhupada Books.
21. Kirtan Mela - Arrange festival of Kirtan, a couple of days or at least
one day festival with Holy names as the center.

Aqui estoy cumpliendo mi tarea de enviar los informes de las reuniones quincenales entre Peru, Mexico, Chile y Argentina. (con un poquito de retraso esta vez)

News 
La visita a Latinoamerica de SS Hanumatpresaka Swami  se pospone para fin de año (fechas a definir)
 
Acuerdos:
1-Se abrira a concurso para definir la CARATULA del Libro de SS HPS. La convocatoria se hará a travez del blog Monkey Warriors. El premio: La utilizacion de la caratula mencionando el nombre del Autor + un libro Las enseñanzas de Sri Caitanya autografiado por SS HPS.
P Abhiram Takur elaborará una guia explicativa para horientar a los diseñadores. Fecha del lanzamiento: a definir.
 
2-En cada pais, llevar adelante al menos un programa o conferencia en los meses de Octubre-Nov-Dic
 
3-El reporte del avance en la organización a publicarse en el blog será cada 15 dias en vez de semanal como se había establecido en un inicio.
 
-La entrega de las traducciones del libro del Prof de Calkuta se pospuso hasta el 31-08.
 
-PROXIMA REUNION 31-08 A LAS 10HS PERU.

HpS - ASA - Jaya!   Muy bien oir de Vds.  Ya son las 5.49PM y hay una lluvia torential!  Es bueno por que hace horas de calor, 33 grados.  Hare Krsna.     Ya aparece que vamos a viajar por Sud America en Enero Febrero.  Un llibro???  Esperamos.  El trabajo ya es leyendo auto-biografia de Carl G. Jung.  Es muy bien. Como Prabhupada dijo, mucho oportunidad hacer un contraste confilosfia Bhagavata como muchos puede entender.
Pronto esperamos terminar leer y comenzar escribir como Vds. puede considerar el contenido y como quiere relacionar. Super foto!!!!

Le escribo tan rapido en asunto a su ultima carta.

Antes que nada decir que Jayanta se ha portado muy bien conmigo desde el primer momento que el expuse el tema. Pamho.

Creo que Su respuesta es totalmente correcta y opino igual, no me sirve de nada iniciarme si no estoy protegido por Sanga con los devotos. Solo serviria para sumar una caida mas en mi larga lista.

Realmente estoy muy seriamente de corazon focalizado en solucionar esto. Es mi foco principal ahora mismo.

Deseo con ansiedad realizar un servicio devocional profundo.

Espero poder ofrecerle a Sus pies mi solucion, lo antes posible.

Le pido humildemente Sus bendiciones para escapar de maya, y poder rendirme incondicionalmente a la Reina florida y Rey de Vrndavana lo antes posible.

            HpS - ASA -  TlgaSP....  !                Muy bien.   El secreto es cantar Hare Krsna lo mas posible, y buscar un asociacion en ISKCON de Srila Prabhupada donde tiene companeros para realizar servicio pratico.  Puede ser ayudar in Rathayatra, muchas cosas.

Monkey just asked Piggy to ask God if we should book our ticket today, but Piggy said, that God said, "No".   Monkey asked Piggy how he knew what God know and Piggy said that he looked on 14-different travel locators and the best ticket was from Houston to EZE but that was $1,600 and that was too much. If God had arranged a ticket for $600, then we would have booked it.  Hallelujah.   ....  Wait one minute. Piggy is receiving another Message from God. We will look for one more option. . . .  If we go to Lima for Vyasapuja and then BsAs for Sarasvati puja the whole trip in only $1,200.      Ha!    Ha!   Hare!                Ooof.  We keep looking at what Krsna wants.  First thing is to publish a book that you can show in advance of Brother Ass coming to visit.  In the end you are all much better preachers than we are so you can do more than we do if we come.... 
 
We can offer our bests efforts and determination to serve you and the Guruparampara represented by you and the motivation to became serious and sincere servants.

We hope you be fine  and healthy.

             HpS - AGTSP.   Of course we all, you, me, readers, alwayd have this inflamation or that inflamation, but in general our only real problem is that our eyes are naturally getting weaker and our feet are tending to swell up.   We fight!

 

We are maintaining meetings twice a month  between Peru, Mexico, Argentina and Chile, in order to coordinate your preaching in Latin America.

 

I have been designated as secretary of these meetings. I'll send a weekly report with the news.

 

The last meeting was on Saturday  of August 3 and the next meeting will be August 17.

 

It's really inspiring be part of this service and to see how a good cooperation can do much more to help you in your Sankirtan.

 

The news:

PERU

1-The sponsorship of the Derrama Magisterial, is achieved.(http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derrama_Magisterial) We can use their auditorium and cinema projection room.

2- We are trying to present the preface of Srimad Bhagavatam by Srila Prabhupada with a commentary of Gurudeva and others.

3- On Saturday we will have a working lunch at Sattva to define details of the program in October. Miguel Polo, bhakta Luis Torino, Gaura Lila Prabhu, Prabhu Harinam Prabhu and Tejanatha confirmed their participation.


 

CHILE

Two programs confirmed:

1-Cine Arte Alameda: Tuesday November 12.

We will show one of your movies (Oscar´s movies) ,  first time in Santiago in a professional theater (professional movie screen). Maybe we can show THE UNIVERSAL FORM movie.

2-Centro Cultural Palacio La Moneda: Thursday November 14th. Conference + live music. 

La Moneda´s palace also want to show a short film!

3-We are Organizing the Ratha Yatra festival. Create departments and services. Prabhu Arjuna and Bhakta Rodrigo want to get sponsorship for the Festival ($ $).

 

ARGENTINA:

1-On August 4, we had the Godbrothers meeting in the temple of Buenos Aires.

--We are organizing a commission group specifically dedicated to organize cultural and academic events. The commission will hold meetings every two weeks. until now those who expressed their interest in participating are: Ambarisa Maharaja Das | Madhavendra Puri Das | Vrsabhanu Nandini DD | Bharata Das (as a collaborator) | Devarṣi Narada Das.

2- We are working on NIOS Website in Spanish.(could be in english and spanish or only spanish. what do you think) We are preparing the design, files and pictures. The Rati Manjari´s brother will help us with technical support.

           HpS - We have been trying for long time to get a Regional Representative for the Ministry of Educational Development (MED) fixed for Latin America. So far no progress. Representative could co-ordinate this work. There is so much opportunity for educational development in Latin America.

3- Once a month in Sunday Feast, we and other devotees, organize DASANUDASA Feast in Buenos Aires Temple. Many godbrothers and aspirants of you participate in the organization and preparation. We are all very inspired with this service.

We have many projects within the festival. We already completed the first proyect  that was: Buy metal plates, cups and spoons for the temple. The donations was from congregation devotees and festival team.

 

MEXICO

HpS - Thank you for the work.  Nehabikramo...  BG.   No loss.  Krsna will use all the effort.   Again, we think that maybe we will head to South America in January.  Our main work is to contribute something in writing now.  We have given lectures on the same topics so often that we know what people can understand, so now we should write it down.   You also preach.  By the mercy of Lord Nityananda and the previous Acharya, the disciple can do more than the previous Acharya!!!!

Espero que Usted se encuentre muy bien. Yo estoy un poco cansado, muchos proyectos culturales y mucho trabajo. Y poco dinero! Es raro encontrar un poeta con mucho dinero!

Si Krishna quiere ahora en agosto empezaremos a funcionar con nuestra propia agencia/productora en Comunicaciones. Espero en una próxima carta escribir cosas personales.

 

Este es un pequeño reporte de nuestro servicio:

 

Arjuna, Jagat Guru, Ignacio y yo participamos cada vez que podemos de reuniones a nivel Latinoamericano, todo coordinado gracias a Prabhu Abhirama de Perú.

 

Por misericordia de Krishna, ya tenemos confirmado 2 programas/conferencias de Usted en Santiago: En estos 2 lugares Usted ya estuvo el año pasado y ellos quedaron felices!

 

1-Cine Arte Alameda: Martes 12 de noviembre.

 

Acá por primera vez en Santiago podremos mostrar en una sala de cine profesional (pantalla de cine profesional) una de las películas de Usted. Tal vez LA FORMA UNIVERSAL.

 

2-Centro Cultural Palacio La Moneda: Jueves 14 de noviembre. Una conferencia más música en vivo. Ellos también quieren dar una pequeña película!!

3-Se está trabajando en organización de Festival RATHA YATRA. Ya están creados los departamentos y los servicios. Estoy ayudando a Arjuna a conseguir patrocinios y auspicios ($$) para RATHA YATRA.

ESTO ES POR AHORA NUESTRO REPORTE. Esperamos poder contar con su divina presencia en noviembre.

                asa -  ooof.  no somos bien de energia.  es mejor dejar al lado todas la programas ahora y ver si podemo viajar mas o no.  ya el resultado es en el canto de los santos nombres y escribir libros.  es casi claro no tenemos mas de 10-anos vivir en esta cuerpo, pero posible, despues de eso volveremos a goloka.....   moo, bosque...  vamanos....
