HpS - AgtSP!!!    Paoho......    You are very kind to write to us!     We hope that our eyes are better. Seems that resting them is important. They are maybe a little better.   How is your donkey.

we are here in the winter of cordoba cutting wood to heat the wood stove. 

to much dead trees help us to be warm.

 i m accepting my karma to be humble and tolerant, also triying to contemplete the diferent situation. some are with to much dificulties, for example i continue with the house without bathroom , without some walls, i have to close it, etc but the main thing is the lonliness and the dificulties to organize preaching programs. may be the biggest obstacle it s myself. i m contempleting and i need better inteligence and sadhana to be with a better perspective. i continue with difficulties to be regular on wake up early and finish my rounds.

hari vamsi dhari is growing very well and happy, we dance, chant and worship the deitie together, same time the worship with him is dificult, he want to do what i do. 

a few weeks ago some devotees of another province (600 km from here) invite us to give a lecture and participate in a vaisnava festival.

they were happy with our service and want to visit regularly and help with the preaching there.

we are working with videos and edition, ( we are waiting for work now) and we star selling prasadam so that is a good service and help us to survive.

Herein I am answering to your question from Twitter: “CC Madhya 9.362. Why is this purport worth $1,111? Please answer in Blog [paib].”

• If one is envious, the first two sentences give a method how to become non envious. (One must have firm faith in the process of devotional service and the scriptures that support it. If one hears the activities of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu with this faith, he can be freed from his envious position.)

• (Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam is meant for such nonenvious persons, nirmatsarāṇāṁ satām.) I find this sentence important but can not collect my thoughts to write it down why is so. <img alt="indecision" height="23" src="https://hps.monkeywarrior.com/sites/all/libraries/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/whatchutalkingabout_smile.png" title="indecision" width="23" />

HpS - It struck us that we are envious. Thus we cannot understand SB.

• (In this age a person should not envy Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu’s movement but should chant the holy names of Hari and Kṛṣṇa, the mahā-mantra. That is the sum and substance of the eternal religion, known as sanātana-dharma.) Gives the basic meaning of eternal religion.

HpS - It also gives the more basic understanding of "Hare" in the Maha-mantra as the vocative form of "Hari" rather than "Hara". Most people would take the Maha-mantra as addressing Hari, Krsna and Rama, not Radha, Hara. We have access to an esoteric meaning!

•  

• One who follows a pure devotee and fully realized soul [you will have to find him/her first], the evidence of transcendental sound and chants the holy name of the Supreme Personality of Godhead will actually be situated in the transcendental disciplic succession. Meaning, you want to be in the chain of transcendental teachers, then do this. Moreover, by doing this a follower attains life’s ultimate goal.

• Srila Prabhuapada gives a verse from Srimad Bhagavatam in the purport, Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (11.19.17). It is interesting to compare this translation with the one by Srila Prabhupada’s disciples. Then thinking about it, few ideas come:

  • how translations differ but in the deeper meaning do not differ (is that so?)

  • There are the four kinds of evidential proof. Everyone should stick to these principles for the realization of the Absolute Truth. Meaning, direct perception, history and hypothesis are also good to use for a devotee and not just get rid of it completely.

HpS - Of course, these are the three aspects of epistemology that we see in the Introduction to the Isopanisad and we have heard that they are also the basis for the Tattva-sandarbha of Jiva Goswami!  Is it all coming from this SB verse!  Is SB really the basis of all these things!

People think that we, Tom Brown, are the same person as HpSwami, but no siree bob!   Tha just ain't true?

HpSwami is mostly a persona, personality, just like us, used by the eternal associate of Krsna who is the atma in this body who is still mostly asleep to his real identity.

We recomend that everybody learn to release the Monkey within.

Gosh, if this atma had to live as just one persona all the time he would go nutz!

(80-90% of the people in the world are nutz. Many ISKCON devotees are about 50% nutz).

We are so happy to get communication going with ART Das and Sattva!  He sent his report and we answered. Next Ekadasi we hope he contemplates his next report and then sends it a few days later.

We all know he is such a hard working devotee.

Besides mail, we also had the full Sunday Festival online. Six ... eight devotees joined us.     We were 10-minutes late!!!   Were talking Sankirtan with Tandavika Das.

We are at his house for the weekend.

At 3PM we will go to the Vinod Agraval Bhajan at the BIG Ganesha Temple in Nashville. He is our hero. We have not met him before.

Now Sunday Feast!!!

Forgive me please adored gurudeva, for having worried him. I am completely cut off, living in the countryside and without a signal. yes, my previous letter was sent without saying goodbye and without finishing it, I ran out of time and preferred to send it even if it is like that. I will soon send you the photo of Jaganatha [Jagannatha], it is very beautiful!
thank you very much for your blessings! I will take them with my heart, thank you for being so merciful. I was sad for not being able to see in the cordoba programs, but I had duties to fulfill and I am so irresponsible that when I see you and the devotees, I forget everything. I only wish to have His wonderful company and I do not care about anything else.
Well, I tell you that my sadhana is still standing, my rounds sometimes more concentrated and it's nicer, sometimes I do not concentrate, but I keep trying.
We are seeing several versions of the Ramayana, 3 Hindus in English and 1 in Japanese Spanish I think. Gopalito plays at what is hanuman and it is wonderful to see him play it like that, he grows and grows .. !! and he gives me the ring and tells me sita hehehe !! and so we play. He also plays at flying with a "mace" to rescue Sita, Frank picks him up. I'm happy to see my gopal grow up happy.
We continue reading the krsna book now next to a wood-burning stove. here it does 0 degrees at times and the water freezes, but inside the clay house that I build it is so warm and I really like to read the books of Srila Prabhupada. I also read the nectar of prabhupada again.
Gurudeva, You can see my dance youtube page. Just put Radha Japapratijalpa and there are some videos. I believe Franco and in September I return to dance again, I am preparing more choreography. I already have almost list guru astaka sung by Srila Prabhupada is the one that inspires me the most.
Thank you very much for all your time, your life, your wonderful mission. I miss your association and devotees very much. But I have the strength of memories with His wonderful classes and devotees who have inspired me so much and everything makes me go forward and happy!

HpS - ASA - Six videos etc came back. We looked at one immediatately. It is pretty good.  You need better filming, editing. You can sell them, give them as gifts and get donations.   Samsara davanala lidha loka..., Evening arati, jaya jaya gaura-candra, jaya radha madhava ....  These would all make nice dances.   Focus on being a dance teacher more than a dancer.

Disculpe por no escribir antes, este reporte lo escribí hace tres semanas y no pude enviarlo (Mejor le sigo enviando desde la cuenta de P. AmD) Además pienso que mis asuntos no son de importancia y no quiero perjudicar su tiempo de predica.

HpS: ¡Usted es una de las principales columnas de nuestros esfuerzos de predicación!

Hace un par de meses que ya me siento mejor, tratando de asimilar que mis hijos ya no estén viviendo con nosotros, ha sido muy dura la separación pero ya está pasando, solo me queda orar a Sri Nrsimhadeva que los proteja en todo momento.

HpS - Y luego tienes que asimilar que tu cuerpo ya no vivirá contigo. Muerte, ¿no?

Ahora tengo más tiempo en casa y trato de realizar mejor servicio a Krsna-Balarama, con más seriedad y determinación, ya que P. Anandamaya se ocupa del trabajo en el colegio.

Estuve haciendo pujari en el templo de Willson,  algunos viernes para el programa de Gaura Aratik, una experiencia muy linda, lamentablemente tuve que dejar el servicio por el invierno, porque mi cuerpo se ha vuelto intolerable al frio y ya me había enfermado en dos ocasiones. Espero poder retomar el servicio pronto.

Excuse me for not writing before, this report I wrote three weeks ago and I could not send it (I still send it from P. AmD's account). Besides, I think that my matters are not important and I do not want to harm your time of preaching.

HpS - You are one of the princple columns of our preaching efforts!

A couple of months ago I already feel better, trying to assimilate that my children are no longer living with us, the separation has been very hard but it is already happening, I can only pray to Sri Nrsimhadeva to protect them at all times.

HpS - And then you have to assimilate that your body will no longer be living with you. Death, no?

Now I have more time at home and I try to perform better service to Krsna-Balarama, with more seriousness and determination, since P. Anandamaya takes care of the work in the school.

I was doing pujari in the temple of Willson, some Fridays for the program of Gaura Aratik, a very nice experience, unfortunately I had to leave the service for the winter, because my body has become intolerable to the cold and had already made me sick twice. . I hope to resume the service soon.

HpS -  So wonderful!

I still keep my vows, sadhana, principles, rounds, SB, etc. All thanks to his mercy. I really like the FMP, I feel very inspired to listen to it daily in the mornings.

For now we are partnering with the devotees of Callao, Palika, Maria, Candravali, and the devotees, they are all very nice association.
Gurudeva, I only hope to be useful some day and that Lord Nrsimhadeva always protects you.

9th Report of THE ART AND THE SACRED

First of all, allow me to apologize for this long absence in sending reports to the Blog. I speak with you every week, but, I know that your communication and organization system of your Sankirtana revolves on the basis of the Blog, therefore, I sincerely ask you to excuse me for this long delay, I will try to be regular by sending reports every two weeks.

HpS - ASA -- Yes!   Thank you so so very much. I guess the main point is that we, Hanumatpresaka Swami, only have a small part in the organization these programs in the Anjana Suta Academy. We apologize that we have not been able to communicate that enough.

Especially in "Art and the Sacred", it very much depends on working with NIOS, as a branch of ASA. Unless we get regular coordination of the work through this Blog we will get into very big problems. Now with just three months until this program things are becoming crucial.  This work is so important for all of ISKCON. This program is one of the premier programs in all of ISKCON.

In relation to the advancement of ART AND THE SACRED, this is the program that we are advancing:

I INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ART AND THE SACRED

October 24, 25 and 26. Mario Vargas Llosa Auditorium, of the National Library of Peru.

PROGRAM

Next week we have a meeting with Ramón Mujica to refine the names of the Symposium days (welcome suggestions). And then with Miguel Polo to see the progress of SOLARIS No. 3, Krishna through, we hope to have the magazine ready in mid-September.

The brochure of THE ART AND THE SACRED have already been received by Beverley in Bogotá-Colombia, there they will distribute them in the VIII Latin American Congress of Jungian Psychology.

For the artistic presentations we have a good reception with the embassies of India, Japan (Flute and Harp) and China (Erhu, the Chinese violin), also our Sufi friend can present a dance of 10 minutes.

HpS - Yes, just 13-weeks to develop all of this. Even less since a lot of the work should be done in Solaris.
We sould suggest that we focus on Solaris to organize the participation, who will join us, and what will be the content of the Symposium.

Participation
We want to reach new people and get them involved with our programs, our ideas, our books, our community, our discussion. We want to involve the ISKCON National Council.

We want to develop more relations with old friends.

Content
You list the event as just these three days in the evenings. Won't there also be other pre-events and even events during the day?

Who has confirmed attendance? How will we host them?

Is your budget suficient?

Please send copies of the contract with the National Museum to the Blog. It is essential. We really HAVE to have these in your next report if we want NIOS to participate. They are a slow bunch in many ways.

We would suggest we start and finish each evening with a musical/dance item and then divide the rest of the evening into two parts as you have done, but we would suggest starting with a longer presentation, say 40-minutes with one presenter and then 20-minutes for questions and answers with the audience and the other participants. Of course, we want to have audio record of everything so we can make movies, articles for Solaris.

In the second half we have would suggest three panelists of twenty minutes each and then twenty minutes of questions and comments by other panelists and the audience.

Themes can answer Hector's three questions:

1. Describe the community with which you identify yourself.

2. Describe what is sacred in that community and

3. Describe how Art allows members of the community to realize the Sacred.

To this we could add the topics:

4. Describe how Art in your life and community, or in the life of some one else, for example, Stanislavskii,  has or is being used to realize the Sacred and to communicate the Sacred to others.

5. Can the world be happy, free from wars and violence, without profound realization of the Sacred through Art?

Esteemed Blog members. Please join in this project. Help the Thakura and his marvelous associates: Nitya-kishori, Luis Tunino et al.

Organize this Symposium in other places, Arrequipa, Chile.

We will arrive Lima about the 24th September. We would love to join other events for this topic in Lima and I think we would also go out to La Paz and Arrequipa. We are discussing this with Mathuresha Das.

What do the members of the National Council etc. think.

24th October we would go to Santiago and come back about one month later. Stay in Lima maybe only one or two nights.

La próxima semana tenemos una reunión con Ramón Mujica para afinar los nombres de los días del Simposio (bienvenidas las sugerencias). Y luego con Miguel Polo para ver el avance de SOLARIS No 3, Krishna mediante, esperamos tenerla lista la revista a mediados de setiembre.

Las separatas de EL ARTE Y LO SAGRADO ya las recibió Beverley en Bogotá- Colombia, ahí las van a distribuir en el VIII Congreso Latinoamericano de Psicología Junguiana.

Para las presentaciones artísticas contamos con una buena acogida con las embajadas de India, Japón (Flauta y Arpa) y China (Erhu, el violín chino), también nuestro amigo sufí puede presentar un baile de 10 minutos.
