Please accept my humble obeisances on to Guruji Maharaja padama charan that due to University strick [strike] of the students the office remain closed since 1st June so I could not reply of Guruji enquiry about myself. Excuse for that. I get up at 2.30 am and doing mangal arati daily and the daities are Radha Krsna Yugala Rupa, Jagabandhu Balabhadra Subhadra, Panchatatva, and A C Prabhuda, Sripada and Gurujis chitravats. 

HpS - ASA - Super!   Super!     You are so fortunate to be with Them in  the mornging. They will give you super power to spread Lord Caitanyas association.   Maybe we can come to your Ashrama and see them some time.

Now I am reading Prema Vilasa of Shri Rupa Gosvami in Manipuri.It is a new test and systems of Sakhi Manjari. Guruji, when we will get Gurujis acceptance of personal Sakhi Manjari (sidhi) to follow Guru Rupa Manjari with Gurujis Manjari?

HpS - The answer is there in Bhakti-rasa-amrta-sindhu, Srila Prabhupada's Nectar of devotion, "Adau sraddha sadhu sanga ...".  You can find the verse and translation in BG 4.10 Purport.  These are the stages of development.  Also in Nectar of Instruction , Texts Seven and Eight, Rupa Goswami and then Srila Prabhupada and Srila Bhakti-siddhanta Sarasvati discuss these things.  What is your level of development?  Sraddha, Sadhu-sanga, Anart-nivrtti, Nistha, Ruci....   In Ruci it would seem like our Raganuga bhakti can start. We can begin to flavor our service by following the flavor of a Vraja-basi. We don't so anything different from lower levels. We still chant in Mangala arati, but now we start to do it with a different feeling. What is you level?

(Is this an appropriate way to address you, Gurudev? Some devotees say that Gurumaharaj-word has an impersonal, generic term. So I am looking for the most appropriate way to address you, Sir, Gurudev. Please, instruct me /\).

HpS - ASA -- Good question. My natural consciousness is of Srila Prabhupada and how to address him.

From what I have heard and trying to be practical, I think, Guru Maharaja, and Srila Gurudeva, are both O.K. as long as we remember that we are just acting in any of these roles under the lotus feet of our Founder Acharya, Srila Prabhupada. We see ourselves as "guru" in this forum just as Madhyama Adhikaris. We are following the principles given by Srila Prabhupada and if anyone wants to follow us following Srila Prabhupada then we are all going back to Goloka!

I have heard Srila Prabhupada say, "My Guru Maharaja", about Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati.   Thank you.

Writing, writing to you!!!!. I must break this lethargic inertia. I write you every day in my mind, talking to you, inquiring from you. But it is not enough!! It must be more concrete (tangible?).

That reminds me a movie about mother’s love. LOVE, yes; but, real love= love in action. As Srila Prabhupada emphasises the same principle of bhakti-yoga = devotional service to Krsna.

There are a lot of things to report you, quite intense time for me right now; in average, all are good, I mean all are ideal chances for learning, strengthening our faith and trust in the process, Guru and Krsna. I must grow up, no more childish attitude (it is not pleasing anymore and I cannot fool myself for any longer) in the practice of the process.

Embracing accountability and responsibility in my purification process is becoming a necessity. Is this right, Sir. I wonder if this is sign of false-ego, and pride in this approach.

HpS - ASA -- Seems pretty good to us, but in detail we would have to know more, more.    We may go to Australia in December.

I am pretty much under the influence of the modes of nature, bodily conception of life. Perhaps my desire to come out of that influence is not strong enough. What should I do? Gurudev.

HpS - Chant with more sincerity. Chant better rounds. Adjust your life to chant better rounds.

Here,  ISKCON-MELBOURNE temple, the spiritual program and activities are very intense in all levels.  It is Guru-Krsna’s blessings and arrangement that I am here now. Thank you, Sir.  Last year you came to Australia in the right time (causeless mercy and my good fortune). Your protection dispelled all anxiety, doubts, fear, misconception and strengthened my faith on you, Srila Prabhupada, Krsna, devotees and on myself.   I have no regrets regarding those changes in my life, because, you are here.

One of the main lessons that we are learning (in process of realising it, jnana-vijnana) is that there is no perfect place, nor circumstances in this material world. Everything has pros and cons. So, no more expectations of just happiness without difficulties. This is giving me a kind of peace of mind, and perhaps a cynic attitude towards some reverses. (a laughter rather than anger).

Is it because they are not so serious issues, yet?  That is a bit scaring Sir, am I deceiving myself?. Thinking that I am learning but actually, I am not.

HpS - Even slow learners, learn. We cannot stay within any distance from Srila Prabhupada, in ISKCON anyway, and but learn. Actually after many years see real, tangible, undeniable results.

Bhurijana prabhu and his wife Jagattarini mataji were here, conducting a mini-Govardhan retreat. The principal point that was emphasised again and again was, Krsna is right now here with us. He is in our heart, everywhere and most personally waiting for us to turn towards Him, calling out, crying out for Him.  A simple attempt of doing so, can please Him, and He will help. Those days (retreat) were very intense, Krsna, Krsna.. a glimpe of perceiving a Person Krsna, no just the idea of a person call Krsna –God. And the understanding- action of we are part and parcel of Krsna, in that consciousness dealing with others as part and parcel of Krsna will preserve us from offenses, mis-conduct,  SINS… It is simple, it seems simple, but I tend to forget it Sir.   I want to always remember it and act on that consciousness. Please help me.

ASA - Ocean of Sadhus!

Currently, in the temple we are studying SB canto 4, Dhruva maharaj pastime. On Sunday SB class, the text talked about Druva feeling shame for his materialistic desires when he initially approached to the Lord, and how after, in his purified stage, he realises his mistake and feels remorse.  Devamrta Maharaj during the class, kindly requested us, please dear devotees, try to internalise this past time, live SB, Could you relate to Druva’s feelings of shame?

This is our case; most of us came to Krsna Consciousness with different motives rather than just loving and serving Krsna.  ..  that moment during the class was revealing,  open-eye experience, SB is life experience, right now.

HpS - Yes. It seems that all the stories can be put into modern contexts for our own purification and preaching to others. We can see people just like Gajendra!

I promised myself to write to you and send it today. So I must stop here, since I have to go for  altar service.  I am trying to design an effective strategy to facilitate writing behaviour. Please guide me, how to get it.

HpS - Start with every Ekadasi compose a Blog post and eveyr Dvadasi send it. Can include Temple report. Madhu m. D. D. report, a serialized novel about somebody eg. Wonder Woman in Australia.

Please forgive me for my luck (lack) of quality service, offenses and my passion and ignorance overwhelmed condition. I want to raise up to goodness and beyond that, please Sir. Help me.

HpS - ASA -- Agan, thank you!!     Again, also, we are trying to fix our Calendar. By the 18th we should have the dates for the Kolkata lecture fixed. So we should go to India last week of November and leave first week of March. That's three and one half months. Too long for India really, so visit Australia? Of course, December would be good to get to warmer climate, but is also Marathon, and Raktaka's family may be visiting India then.  Also, Dhurva/Dhanesvari will go to Peru in October.  What do you think?   We need to visit the North-East, India.  Sankirtan.  Art and the Sacred. Wise Men from the East brining gifts (SB) for Baby Jesus?

HpS - ASA --- Yes, we had a nice conversation: You, me, Anadi-radha Devi Dasi, Ananta-rupa Das.  As I understand your aobve letter is 97% correct ... BUT  ....   We are still making this point that after initiation you are not going to be exactly the same person. So, you, anadi et al, have to adjust your local plans, e.g. marriage, in terms of the new situation.  O.K.  Six weeks is a short time to do that, but may be O.K.  Again, read the Marriage of Kardama and Devahuti in the Third Canto together. That is the ISKCON Marriage Manual. See if you agree with all he ideas that Prabhupada includes. E.g. the picture below relates.

Our life must be just like your life --- difficult.

We are all spirit souls carrying a half dead donkey.  The Karmis do it for Sex, Drugs and Rock and Roll.    Oofff!!!!!     We do it for Mangala arati, Class, Letters to the Editor, Travel Plans, Guide Others.

It takes work.

Now it is 6.00PM      We are catching up on the Letters, but we also have to catch up on the NIOS Blog posts.   The tickets for South America took about an hour.  We had to juggle the Nashville, Houston, Mexico, Lima, time and then try to get the ticket to Lima....   Interjet was a catastrophe. We had to call and talk with a lady. Then the times were bad for stopping in Mexico and about $800.

So we looked on Expedia.com and got flights with stop in Mexico for $650, but it was just at night. Then we changed one day and the United flight direct was $550!   So, we just visit wonderful Mexico other time.

Post the dates to three calendars.

Post the $$$ to three ledgers.

Now we go walking!

This year is one of the most

strangers to me

It's the second time in the year

I feel that my life is in danger

and living that situation filled me with fear,

I think I have already overcome it,

the exam comes and I do not pass it.

In this I have to keep working.

I was doing tests

And a doctor told me

That possibly got confused in the diagnosis.

Maybe I just had pneumonia.

then, some more tests and we will see.

I would have preferred to write to you when you are ready,

but, they could take a lot.

One of two or those doctors were wrong

And they scared me enough

O Naughty Krsna sends me tests.

I could not believe it!

Dead from fear of disease and death

Like, I do not lose my faith

in the protection of Krsna.

On the other hand, we started the bhakti-sastri a few days ago ... we want to preach knowing more details of the bhagavad-gita, upadesamrta, sri isopanisad and the nectar of devotion ... it is a very enthusiastic group with great goals ... it will last 1 year and some more months ... srimad bhagavatam we are studying it together with the classes, now we are following the instructions of jada bharata for the king rahugana, this has served me a lot to control the mind because it has been explained that the mind affected by Illness, lament, illusion, attachment, avarice and enmity create a captivity and an illusory sense of property in the material world. If we are not careful with the mind and give it a chance, it will be more and more powerful and it will be able to overcome us. and jada bharata advises to overcome that mind with the service weapon at the lotus feet of guru and krsna ...
now we also had the visit of panca tattva das and adi yajña das, who travel and preach. I am being employed in a service in a brahmacarya training project with the GBC university. I belong to the group that will generate that project at the mercy of panca tattva prabhu, for which I feel very motivated and grateful. We hope to do something good and important to help iskcon ...
so these new possibilities are emerging, ah! and also, on the other hand, I am starting a program with new people in the movement. Some time ago I had the desire to cultivate people and present them to Krishna consciousness, and now Krishna sent some signals. a devotee gave me some japa beads and kanthis that were left over from a previous program, which was done by a devotee who is now in India. So far there are 2 people who are already chanting the maha mantra in the japa mala (of the neem because we did not have tulasi) and other 4 people who read, attend the programs and sometimes help us with the services in the temple. then I give myself time to talk to them, give them books to read and then the  japa beads to sing, so we humbly try to be a servant so that sri gouranga and sri nityananda shed their mercy to more jivas ...
Guru Maharaj wanted to ask for an answer about this program, since being in the Brahmacari Asram the relationship with women is limited. but in this program I am preaching to more women than men, since there is no devotee to do it. I have asked for it but until now nobody has offered me. then I took the initiative and I do so thinking more about the preaching and the need in my heart for more people to remember Krishna, than in my own life of brahmacari. So I need to ask you to give me your opinion, to know if to continue with this program or make any changes ...

HpS - Hare Krsna.   translate.google.com   Thank you for your letter.  Your Sankirtan seems very good. YOu are on the right path.  Brahmacari and Sannyasis are permitted short contact with women for preaching purposes only, and that should be done in public. We you talk with ladies or they talk with you, talk loudly.
 

See them as sister, mother, daughter.

You are not the supreme friend. Krsna will save them, so if there is no one to preach to them give them some direction how to chant and read and then let Krsna take care of them, send other ladies, married devotees.

despues de haber leído su respuesta en diferentes días, analizandolo bien, me doy cuenta de mi posición actual... mi servicio no es puro, es servicio contaminado, pues las actividades que hago no son completamente para krsna... tengo muchos apegos materiales sutiles... su ayuda gracias a krsna ha sido aceptada con sumisión... esto lo agradezco mucho con el corazón porque me permite mejorar para el futuro, agradezco que mi ignorancia haya sido discipada... en el srimad bhagavatam hay muchas historias que he conocido para obtener el éxito verdadero, y vamos gradualmente llevandolas a nuestra vida... intentando mejorar cada día... continuando con el proceso. buenas rondas y 4 principios como estándar... así me volveré más y más puro como usted dice... y sin duda es lo que deseo... así que cultivaré ese deseo...
estoy de acuerdo en lo que usted dice: este es el mundo material y hay problemas en todas partes, pero si estamos en KC, entonces vemos cómo estos problemas son perfectos e impetuosos para avanzar... estas palabras son muy importantes para mi, ya que sintetizan mis esfuerzos por mantenerme conciente de krsna...
espero no extenderme mucho guru maharaj, le comentaré algunas cosas que estamos haciendo... lo que estamos haciendo ahora es programar la fiesta de prabhupada, este sábado la reinauguramos, no se por qué dejó de hacerse pero comencé a preguntar y proponer que se haga de nuevo, y me nombraron uno de los encargados de la fiesta, eso me tiene muy contento pues la congregacion en general se muestra muy satisfecha de poder utilizar un sábado en servicio al guru y krsna... el programa fue muy bueno, bhajans, clase sobre prabhupada, guru puja, kirtan, prasada... asi que somos muy afortunados de glorificar al acarya ! vinieron 120 personas y la atmosfera era muy amorosa...
por otra parte, comenzamos el bhakti-sastri hace unos días... queremos predicar sabiendo mas detalles del bhagavad-gita, upadesamrta, sri isopanisad y néctar de la devoción... es un grupo muy entusiasta y con grandes objetivos... durará 1 año y unos meses más... srimad bhagavatam lo vamos estudiando junto a las clases, ahora estamos en las instrucciones de jada bharata al rey rahugana, esto me ha servido mucho para controlar la mente pues se ha explicado que la mente afectada por las enfermedades, la lamentación, la ilusión, el apego, la codicia y la enemistad, crea el cautiverio y una ilusoria sensasion de propiedad en el mundo material. si no somos cuidadosos con la mente y le damos una oportunidad, se irá haciendo cada vez mas poderosa y conseguirá vencernos. y jada bharata aconseja vencer a esa mente con el arma del servicio a los pies de loto del guru y de krsna...
ahora también tuvimos la visita de panca tattva das y adi yajña das, quienes estan viajando y predicando. ellos me estan ocupando en un servicio sobre un proyecto para el entrenamiento en brahmacarya junto al GBC college. pertenezco al grupo que generará ese proyecto por la misericordia de panca tattva prabhu, así que me siento muy motivado y agradecido. esperamos hacer algo bueno e importante para ayudar a iskcon...

solamente guru maharaj quería pedirle una respuesta sobre este programa, ya que estando en el brahmacari asram el relacionamiento con las mujeres es limitado. pero en este programa estoy predicandole a más mujeres que hombres, ya que no hay una devota que lo haga. lo he pedido pero hasta el momento nadie se ha ofrecido. entonces tomé la iniciativa y lo hago pensando más en la predica y en la necesidad que hay en mi corazón de que más personas recuerden a krsna, que en mi propia vida de brahmacari. entonces necesito pedirle que me de su opinión, para saber si continuar con este programa o hacer alguna modificación...
