hare krishna gurudeva! How is it going?

HpS - AGTSP. paoho. Janma mrtya jara vyadhi. Birth, death, disease and old age. Our eyes, teeth, ears, stomach, knees, short term memory are all disturbed, but our spiritual life is ADVANCING. AGTSP.... and you. We got this letter before we left for Peru... and now finally catching up.

this month we had a seminar of the madhurya kadambini of visvanath cakravarti thakura. It has been very good to know our position and how to keep advancing more towards Krishna!

we also had the visit of ss bhakti bhusana swami and it was very inspiring

I am striving to sing the minimum of 16 rounds before the srimad bhagavatam class and I have experienced a tangible change in my heart. a change in the way of thinking and acting. also during the day I can sing some more rounds depending on the services we have.

HpS - !!!! We try to do at least 17/day, but really chant while we are taking bath etc. Shoudl do 64-rounds worth of Maha-mantra each day. Sixteen on beads and the rest while we work.

We are always trying to push ourselves to do something new or something that helps us to occupy ourselves in more time of service. with a spiritual brother; devarsi narada das, we started a new program in the temple of buenos aires. Actually, this program was done years ago but I do not know why it was not done anymore. the program is called "vaisnava songs" and we choose 2 songs per program, this program is once a month, and with a projector we show the song, the meaning, and a video with prabhupada commenting it with subtitles in Spanish, and then we sing it. that way we enter the singer's mood. For me it is an honor and a very special service to remember such exalted personalities as narottama dasa thakura, bhaktivinoda thakura, etc. We will start this program in September, now we have not been able to do it for all the festivals. For me this is really very good, since I've been studying the songs and the program is a mixture of philosophy, devotion, expression in music and inspiration. songs like gouranga bolite habe, nitay pada kamala, are such deep and beautiful songs gurudeva! finally the programs are finished with a bit of kirtan, and the schedule is designed to finish all together singing for sri sri gaura nitay gaura arati and dance for your pleasure, and then share the prasada ..

HpS - We saw the program of a Janmastam that Srila Prabhupada celebrate in Radha Damodara temple before he came to the USA. There was reception of the Governor, two songs with explanation, appreciation by the Governor and then Prasad!

now we are in the chant [canto] 5, chapter 14 of the bhagavatam, the forest of material enjoyment, it is very strong, but necessary to open the eyes ...

Just on the basis of the bhagavatam, a question arose, suta goswami says that by regularly attending the bhagavatam classes and by rendering service to the pure devotee, everything that disturbs the heart is practically completely destroyed. The question is, does that "practically" mean that the heart is cleaned in practice? or "practically" refers to the fact that the heart is almost completely cleansed? If so, what would it take for the heart to cleanse itself completely?

HpS - That is a common question. I think it means that the major anarthas go away, but until the stage of Bhava some still remain. It is like washing the stool and urine off of gold but it still has alloys with other metal like tin. When it is heated to melting (Bhava) then those alloys are broken.

aquí nosotros estamos en la base en buenos aires argentina, experimentando un poco las miserias del cuerpo; gripe y garganta inflamada, pero podemos cantar hare krishna hare rama!

estamos intentando desapegarnos del cuerpo, pero cuando estamos enfermos nos cuesta mantener el sadhana, es nuestra caída condición. esperamos mejorar!

este mes tuvimos un seminario del madhurya kadambini de visvanath cakravarti thakura. ha sido muy bueno para saber nuestra posición y cómo seguir avanzando más hacia krishna!

también tuvimos la visita de ss bhakti bhusana swami y fue muy inspirante

estoy esforzandome por cantar el mínimo de 16 rondas antes de la clase de srimad bhagavatam y he experimentado un cambio tangible en mi corazón. un cambio en la forma de pensar y de actuar. también durante el día puedo cantar algunas rondas más dependiendo de los servicios que tengamos.

siempre estamos intentando empujarnos para hacer algo nuevo o algo que ayude a ocuparnos en más tiempo de servicio. con un hermano espiritual; devarsi narada das, empezamos un nuevo programa en el templo de buenos aires. en realidad, este programa se hacía hace años atrás pero no se por qué no se hizo más. el programa se titula "canciones vaisnavas" y elegimos 2 canciones por programa, este programa es 1 vez al mes, y con un proyector mostramos la canción, el significado, y un video con prabhupada comentandolo con subtitulos al español, y luego la cantamos. de esa manera entramos en el humor del cantante. para mi es un honor y un servicio muy especial recordar a personalidades tan excelsas como narottama dasa thakura, bhaktivinoda thakura, etc. este programa lo iniciaremos en septiembre, ahora no hemos podido por todos los festivales. para mi realmente es muy bueno esto, ya que he estado estudiando las canciones y el programa es una mezcla entre filosofía, devoción, expresión en la música e inspiración. canciones como gouranga bolite habe, nitay pada kamala, son canciones tan profundas y bellas gurudeva! finalmente los programas los terminamos con un poco de kirtan, y está pensado el horario para terminar todos juntos cantando para sri sri gaura nitay el gaura arati y bailar para su placer, y luego compartir el prasada..

ahora estamos en el canto 5 capitulo 14 del bhagavatam, el bosque del disfrute material, es muy fuerte, pero necesario para abrir los ojos...

justamente en base al bhagavatam me surgió una pregunta suta goswami dice que por asistir regularmente a las clases de bhagavatam y por prestarle servicio al devoto puro, todo lo que perturba al corazón es destruído practicamente por completo. la pregunta es ¿ese "practicamente" se refiere a que el corazón se limpia en la practica? o ¿"practicamente" se refiere a que el corazón se limpia casi por completo? si así fuer, qué es lo que faltaría para que el corazón se limpie por completo?

HpS - I guess lotus feet means above the waters of illusion. We have to be careful because we are still influences by them. If it means that Srila Prabhupada's lotus feet are mine by his mercy then, yes obeisances to them.

I have a very humble suggestion that since Maharaja would be fasting for Goura Purnima (21-03-2019) it shall be appropriate for all of us to serve him and his associates with prasadam on 22-03-2019 and arrange his back journey ticket from Imphal on 23-03-2019 or latter date. Please request Maharaj to oblige the arrangement.

HpS - We bought all our inland tickets for India except the ones after Gaura Purnima. We are waiting to see what the developments are and this is one. We must have breakfast in Manipur.

This mail gave me sleepless nights......and we are so happy that all our wishes are fulfilled by Guru Maharaj. We read the reply of Guru Maharaj to Yamuneshwar Prabhu. We are so happy for the news.

HH Bhakti Ananda Haridasa Goswami Maharaj will arrive here today for the Vyasa Puja of HH Swarupa Damodara Maharaj.

Yesterday we had a teertha yatra at 9 Vaishnava holy sites in Manipur....4 buses and 2 mini vans...quite a huge crowd...we wish we could send the pics.

HpS - So nice. Just chant Hare Krsna, dance and take Prasad when you are tired.

About the online Bhakti Shastri, the latest information we got from Mayapur Institute is that we are starting the English one from February next year. We will try to get information from Chowpatty too.

We are eagerly looking forward to having Guru Maharaj's transcendental association here at Manipur.

Please accept my humble obeisances unto Sri Guruji Maharaja’s padmacharan that I could contact Guruji and discussing spiritual matters. The book “Madanamohan” written by Partha Sarthi Das, is the original history of Krsna. This bigrah (bronz) was brought from Mathura by two Brahman brothers and worship at Kongba of Imphal, Manipur. Nanda Gopa Das is the hiridity of the clan, Mathurabasimayum is known in Manipur. In his openion the secrate story of Madanamohan is so interesting that after the separation of Radharani from Krsna during the Rasa Lila, including all sakhi pray for Krsna to return but He did not come out infront of them. Lastly, Srimati Radharani including all sakhis decided to die by jumping into the river Yamune only then Krsna came out. That Krsna is known as Madanamohan.

I had read Guruji’s reply of Sarda Gourangi D D in the blog and forwarded to H H Ananda Harida Swami Maharaja. So they will finalise the suitable place and dates. I am also eagerly waiting the programme.

The portion I am now reading C.C. is Adi 2:3 Comparing the devotees are like the waters of Ganges which are full of lotus flowers and swans swiming around the feautiful lotus feet of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu or bees humming around His lutus feet in transcendantel pleasure, searching for honey.

The portion I am studying in Bhagavatam is 10:3: 5 the discussion about the conversation between Kamsa and Debaki. Now Kamsa realised of Krsna and requested Debaki and Basudeva about the mistakes commited by him upon them and requested to pardon him becuase they are spiritual persons.

Sadhana 5:00 am., 16 rondas y 4 principios, gayatris, fallé en dos ekadasis éste año, lectura del bagavad Gita con algunos devotos p. Ranchor y Bakta Yimi y lectura personal con p. Gadai del Bagavatam canto 3 cap. 15 descripción del mundo espiritual tex 1., Nuestro servicio éste año fué el siguiente; adoración a las Deidades de casa y Salagrama Silas, cocina, distribución de libros en las universidades de la Upla y Uncp en el mes de mayo y abril.

Tengo una pregunta del Bagavad gita; ¿Porque Yudistir apostó a sus hermanos y a su esposa Draupadi si El era la personificación de la religiosidad y la justicia?

HpS - No se perfecto pero pienso que parte era mostrar aun un gran personaje como el tiene que ser cuidado de estas tendencias. En general tuvo que participar por que su tio quien era como su padre en ausencia de el pidio. Quido de jugos de apostar.

Este año fué muy difícil en el aspecto material y espiritual, pero fué un buen aprendizaje. Con respecto a mi padre las cosas no fueron fácil, pero estamos conversando y mejorando nuestra relación. Así que quiero terminar lo que empecé sacar el bachiller y el título.
