So many people are getting eternal benefit from your service with Srila Prabhupada. Maybe even something you do will stop the war in Ukraine.

HpS/ASA - Hare Krsna. Have we met before? We don't have any recollection of your good self.

Yes Maharaj, first time in Peru 2008, then in Monterrey, Mexico 2012, I was in charge of the program together with Gadadhara Gosai. After in 2023 in Monterrey. Also in 2014 in Houston.

Have you done book distribution like this before?

We started doing sankirtan in 2004 and in some way or other have been connected with this service since then. From 2010 we started to go more frequently to the universities and by Guru and Krishna's mercy we started this project and now we're asking blessings from all Vaishnavas to follow we this service.

B. S. Damodar Swami told us that Srila Prabhupada told him, and we have seen Purports with same formula, that in the secular university environment you fist talk about what is matter. They have their perspective and we can purify it with our perspective.

Then you can talk about non-material aspect to the self eg. it has free will, it is conscious, it has to make moral choices. ATMA.

Then you can talk about Jiva atma and Param atma.

...but you don't go to Bhagavan, mono theism, in the public setting, but if you establish a personal relation with them, then you can talk about God as a person, and even if you don't, if you can bring them to Param atma, then they can also find a personal relation in their own religious tradition!!!

All glories to eternal sankirtana. Please accept my most sincere obeisances at your feet. Beloved Gurudeva, very soon I will be reunited with my family, I have many business projects and those of my family, my father wants to go to India, since he met ISKCON he always tries to be a devotee with a regular standard.

My only brother has a good character and my relationship with him is good,

my mother really likes Narashinja,

but her character is sometimes also strong 😬

my family respects ISKCON and understands spiritual life,

my aunt Angela, my father's sister, is also a devotee who gets up early and chants some rounds,

in reality my family gives me a lot of tranquility and joy and refuge, I feel happy.

Today I had a dream with you [ASA 🙂 in English we would say "of you"] that told me not to hide anything from me, how are you? you asked me. And now I want to answer you; Life is oscillating full of experiences, I can say that I am beginning to understand and take the bad things that happen to me in the best way and as a purification to one day return home with the hope that Srila Prabhupada and you will take me by the hand.

The path is long for the mind, but the reality is that the life of a human being is short, and I try to see the good and the bad as an episode that will pass and that in the end it will end and only the most important will remain Krsna and Guru.

So I don't know if my material life as so important, to inform you gurudeva.

I can only tell you that I am chanting 16 rounds, 4 principles, ekadasis, 3 gayatris, and associating with some devotees,

my life is always surrounded by devotees, and I know that this is important for my spiritual life,

and that is why I try to correct and do an introspection of my mistakes. And accepting my karma in the best way.

I would like to ask you a question.

When I was in Vrindavan for a few days, I want to confess that I didn't chant 16 rounds. I know it's not correct. My question is, many of the Vrajavasis don't chant 16 rounds. How do you explain this? I mean, how can I understand this? Are they on a different spiritual platform, Raganuga bhakti? Excuse me for asking, dear Gurudeva. Please, I would like to go into more depth about this. Thank you very much,

HpS - As far as I understand if you are born in Braja, it is at the most your last life in the material world.

Maybe you have even come from spiritual Vrndavana just to help KRSNA here and have no material connection, or as above, maybe you are taking one more birth in the material world to get direct connection with Nitya siddha Braja vasis to finish off the details before youi go back to Goloka, back to work!

I have had a few experiences with those born in Braja, and just naturally in their thoughts and conversations they say the Names of Radha and Krsna, Lala and Lali, 1728 times, 16-rounds, a day.

Some are Brahmins, some are gang leaders, but they all have a personal relations with KRSNA like he was someone who just lives around the corner!!

In most of our cases in ISKCON, we need to do some Vaidhi bhakti, follow rules and regulations or else we will probably become contaminated with some Sahajjiya consciousness.

O.K.?

Even internally on Raganuaga we usually see the devotee acts like a Vaidhi Bhakta, following rules and regulations, externally.

Well I know you asked me to write to you in some weeks,

so this is a really brief letter.

Well we’ve been speaking for several year now like 4 or 5, and we met like 20 years ago, I follow your advice regularly, been following the regulative principles now again for some time, and been chanting my rounds regularly really early in the morning, so I would like to ask you for spiritual shelter.

HpS - That is the "dead" part as ISKCON diksa guru. We had to give up initiating people because of our old age, yet we recommend people like H. G. Radha-krsna Das here in Houston to do the job and H. H. Yadu nandana Swami in Spain.

Certainly other reasonable competent people to handle the formality and the personal work with practical perspective!

As Siksa guru, I guess we can continue forever if we get off the bodily platform. I mean the Gopis took Uddhava as their Guru, so I guess we can all accept other people as our Disciples as a service, no?

Do you know Yadunandana Swami?

Very wonderful, really humble person.

The other thing I would like to please ask you is the following: I’ve been trying to make some new friends, specially abroad (maybe in the US) so would you kindly recommend me some devotees to start a relationship?

Thank you so much for giving this to me to chew on.

One thing I appreciate so much about your association is I have felt such a healthy understanding of who Srila Prabhupada is to us, who you are to us and who the categories of other devotees are to us (obviously that clarity does grow and grow as we make some advancement, thankfully)

I feel very clear that Srila Prabhupada is our predominant Guru, we are going home because of his authority, however, I do believe that you have given me Srila Prabhupada by accepting me as a disciple and therefore without your mercy going back home isn't available for me.

HpS/ASA - Hare Krsna... One very relevant experience comes to mind: We were Treasurer etc in Berkeley and Jaya tirtha Das came to act as Temple President for some time because we had none.

We had been initiate for maybe one year.

Then he went back to L. A. and we had some other arrangement for Temple President.

Then... a letter came addressed from him from India with return address from Srila Prabhupad in India.

I called him right away and asked if I should forward it to him.

He responded [are you crazy!] open it immediately and read it to me!

I learned a lot about relations with Srila Prabhupada from his urgent emotions and response.

It was a very interesting letter but Srila Prabhupada finished it with a line that hit my heart and has remained there.

"You cannot exist without my mercy".

I reacted that it was very strong [even a little bit over bearing] but swallowed and in my own mind said, Yes, Srila Prabhupada.

Then I read the next lines and got even more floored:

"... and I cannot exist without your mercy. That mutual respect, mutual love, is Krsna Consciousness".

...and therefore without your mercy going back home isn't available for me.

I believe these both can be simultaneously true and are. With this in mind I believe I am trying to be personal and so my personal relationship with you has shown me that we promote Srila Prabhupada, I believe in this and so therefor I do, even though sometimes I am given an evil eye from others that I seem "ritviky".

To be honest guru maharaja I do sometimes wonder because I am a uncultured monkey that I don't have the respect for you that I should, and lets be honest that certainly is true because, well, I am a uncultured monkey. I would like to say my intent in this respect is that I believe you want me to behave in away that is focused on Srila Prabhupada, promoting Srila Prabhupada. Even though to some mistake on my part currently. Sometimes I am concerned about my behavior. For instance, Gaura Kishor das babaji treated Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur Maharaj in so many ways but BSTM knew not to be fooled. The truth is I am just to dull to even be able to play at that level of game, to know how truly a disciple should act. In this case all I can do is tell you my honest from the heart intention and please forgive me for offenses.

So although I see others, say Guru Maharaja, I promise to address you as guru maharaja because you ask me to. I do see your intention in this differentiation and I believe I understand it. I will not offer you a dish at your Vyasa Puja that you do not want to eat.

HpS/ASA - Very interesting. .. or we could use "guru Maharaja". 😆 😆 😆

Basically I think you, me, Bhakta Tom, Bhakta Buck and even the Robot are headed for Nabadvipa with Srila Prabhupada and Nimai in our next life, what to speak of the so many wonderful devotees who participate in this Blog.

First, let us please comment on titles in ISKCON.

We feel that it may be impertinent for us to be addressed as "Guru Maharaja" in ISKCON. It maybe insulting to Srila Prabhupada's position, and then how to deal with this academic "Bhaktivedanta" title.

Ooof! Too much for one small monkey to handle. 🐵

First, we remember a letter from Srila Prabhupada where one disciple asked if he could address someone such as his authority Bhagavan Das or Hansadutta Das as 'Guru', and Srila Prabhupada answered, "Yes", but that we should not forget himself as his real Guru.

Hmmm. Interesting.

We feel that maybe we can be addressed as guru maharaja very much in the perspective of ISKCON Diksa guru, and sannyasi and Shiksa, Sankirtan leader, guru in the perspective that we are 🐖

🐖 🐖 pigs become people, PRABHUS [???], by the great personal sacrifice of His Divine Grace, Srila A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Founder/Acharya of ISKCON and author of book KRSNA - SPOG.

Is O.K., no?

We can't even begin to to take a so called Ritvik Guru philosophy seriously because we do not find it discussed in even one Bhaktivedanta Purport, what to speak of detailed and repeated discussion in several Purports.

Prabhupada directly instructed in a letter that he wanted his disciples to become ISKCON, Vedic, scholars and earn this title Bhaktivedanta as a hereditary title.

Also, Lord Caitanya says: amar anjay guru haya, on my order, you become guru.

Vaisesika Das, ISKCON Minister of Sankirtan, said we should earn these titles and use them. Show the world our quality of education.

We feel His Holiness H. P. Bhaktivedanta Swami is quite pretentious, for us. Maybe some other devotees in ISKCON merit it?

We feel like we can survive, do practical service, with H. H. Hanumat presaka Swami [Bh. Ved].

A few days ago I sent my annual report here in the blog “Reports”. However, I want to tell you about some activities from last year and some plans for 2025.

2024:

HpS/ASA - Thank you for doing both! As we commented in the Post by Dhannista Devi Dasi we are still trying to digest all the letters we received during Guru Puja etc. 🙂

- Main festivals (as as Janmastami, Gaura Purnima): I celebrated at home because I have been living far away for temple. I made garlands for my deities with flowers from my garden.

ASA - SUPER

We thin you have bought Krsna and Radha forever by that one act!

- Home preaching programs: with Nityananda Prana das organize a program for people interested in knowing about Krishna, and occasionally we organize programs with devotees.

- Bhakti Sastri Course: I started the course with P. Radhika Nagara das from Mayapur Institute, but I had to stop it. To return in march.

ASA - Did you return??? Is it fun?

- NIOS Chile: I wrote a review for Solaris and it was accepted. I also participated in Radhika Raman's visit to Santiago. I had the opportunity to do a Little service with my godbrothers: Arjuna das, Jagad Guru das, Priya Sakhi dd, Manjuali dd, Lalita Madhava das. Great souls.

ASA - Academics remember and contemplate these experiences forever.

- I traveled to Colombia to visit my family and Nityananda Prana das really liked the city. We were at a sankirtan on one of the main Street of the city.

ASA - One famous (infamous) devotee from Colombia told us that Columbia has the best fruit, the best coffee and the best cocaine (!! 😯) in the world.

He said that the last one made all the problems.

U. G./T. B. - Why doesn't the USA just legalize cocaine, like cigaretts, and then evaporate all the cartels?

If you are going to kill your self (it says so on tobacco). Then do it in a civilized fashion?

Maybe a stupid idea.

2025: I hope to continue participating in NIOS, reading and grow in my spiritual life, being useful in service. Nityananda Prana has really been a great partner for me. Always, I read your messages on X (twitter), blog and follow the post in ASA and others.
