All glories to Srila Prabhupada

Dear Guru Maharaj,

I don't know if this post should be completelly public,

HpS ... O.K. We will edit it.

...because I just would like to know your perspective and to have your advice regarding this hot topic. But always your criterion is the best.

This letter Is regarding Dhanudhar Swami. I met him at NYC 5-6 year ago. Actually he helped us to get a cheaper place where to stay that nights, a hostal managed by the food for life encharged, it was my first visit there. And he was nice and took us to meet the Hare Krishna tree and the Second Avenue Temple. A nice person in my opinion then.

After my wife post a picture with him, we received warning about his issues with the ISKCON-GBC, CPO. etc.

HpS ... From whom? Official GBC, CPO people?

Now, my question is more practical, We are using his study guide "Waves of Devotion".

So my question is, Could we separate the work from the author?

Is seems that Prabhupada used to made the connection between both. For example, Tulsi Das, Prabhupada wasn't a fully supported of him. There is conversation where Prabhupada suggested that his bad experience with his wife influenced so much in his opinion regarding women in general, and Prabhupada didn't support his Ramayana either.

HpS ... I do not have very, very deep understanding of Tulasi Das and his Rama carita manas, but as far as I know Srila Prabhupada lliked many of his things but criticized others.

So in this case, seeing Dhanudhar Swami situation, and the CPO resolution about him by, and the thousands of devotees asking to the GBC don't letting him come back (see campaign here http://chng.it/WwNqwWcPsn) And, considering that at leat I don't know any news about an apology from him to his victims.

How can we relate to his literary work considering all of this?

HpS ... All of my personal dealings with Maharaja have been nice. Maybe he was a little proud of his knowledge and competency. I have not had contact with him for many years and only a little through nice devotees whom I know.

What is the official statement for the CPO? As far as I know he left ISKCON, GBC, many years ago formally. Also as far as I know the complaints were about harsh physical treatment by former Gurukula students and never any abou sexual abuse. That is all I know about his character.

Yes, Lord Chaitanya tood Sannyasa in a Mayavadi Sampradaya, we can use things for Sankirtan. Prabhupada quotes from Chanakhya Pandita, but Krsna-kripa Das told me that Prabhupada told Tamal Krsna Goswami that Chanakhya Pandita was the greatest politician who ever lived, but also a Mayavadi.

We have to be careful, yes but that is the nature of Lord Caitanya's movement, yukta vairagya, and the example of our Aharyas, no?

Quizas ahora podamos apoyar un poco mejor con el tema de discipulado en ISKCON, seguimos aprendiendo, aunque a veces hay dificultades locales, esperamos que todo fluya bien. 

Cómo Usted está enterado SS Kesava Swami ha suspendido su presidencia por un periodo de 6 meses ( así nos informó el GBC). Entiendo que será prabhu Jayananda y el comité quienes harán las recomendaciones. Hubo un istha gosthi y nos dijeron que están buscando un presidente del templo pero hasta que se encuentre prabhu Jayananda ocupa ese cargo, estan formando el comité.

Tengo la duda si estás cartas se deben redactar nuevamente con las firmas del nuevo Comite o nada más se requiere agregar la firma del presidente del Comité o futuro presidente ?

HpS - TlgaSP! Pfanrh. Muchas gracias sus esfuerzas en esta area. Claro todos pueden comunicar por sus mismos o otro pueden ayudar, pero su esfuerza aparece algo devocional relacionar con estas desafios bureaucraticos. Es in ISKCON, entonces podemos entender es una deafio espiritual tambien.

Como entiendo de Guru-prasda Swami la Presidente actual y la comite puede firmar.

Recuerdo que Prabhu Yamuna dijo que guardó unas copias de las cartas que Usted recibió. Prabhu ya no está en el templo. 

Porsupuesto durante todo el trámite se espera que los candidatos sean honestos y sigan las instrucciones de Srila Prabhupada, del GBC y de Usted: mantenerse entusiastas cantando sus 16 buenas rondas , 4 principios regulativos, observación de sadhana, servicio, mantenerse leales a ISKCON, también leer Kapi Dhvaja y enviar reportes regulares al blog para una buena comunicación, realmente sino hay esto cualquier trámite de parte de las autoridades seguramente no se concretara. Sería una lastima. Como Usted menciono en un sentido la espera es bueno pues pone a prueba la sinceridad y dedicacion del candidato.

*Leí que un candidato para iniciación debe ofrecer sus alimentos y comer únicamente Krsna prasadam. Srila Prabhupada habla mucho de como el prasadam influye sobre la conciencia. 

Usted siempre dice "comemos la conciencia del cocinero" 

Una vez prabhu Adhoksaja nos dijo que en un viaje, por una urgencia y necesidad tuvo que comer arroz preparado por no devotos y ese mismo día pudo sentir un intenso deseo lujurioso. Por favor Gurumaharaja podría darnos instrucciones de la importancia de cocinar, ofrecer y tomar únicamente prasadam? Siempre leemos que prepara kitri para Sri Nrsimhadeva en ese sentido el ejemplo instruye.

HpS - Aparece que Vd. tiene buen comprehension. El primoero texto de NOI habla muy bien de esta! "visayera anna kaila ahnya dusta mana.." busca esta cita en el significad y pienso hay mas en la fuente de la citacion en CC!

* Otro punto es la prajalpa en las redes sociales como facebook. Esta es una preocupación y aportación que me hizo recientemente un herman@ espiritual, así que la pregunta es: este tema puede ser un impedimento para obtener una recomendación formal? 

HpS - ASA -- Es una problema subtil. Claro tenemos que ser mas y mas estricto. Raga manjari no quiere oir el nombre de Candravali. Eso es mas y mas estricto en lo que estamos opyendo. Pero, si estamos tratando controlar estas cosas y no oyendo pornografia etc. esta bien en el nivel de primero initiation.

Y que pasa con la prajalpa en las redes sociales de los que ya somos iniciados? 

HpS - Encima. En segunda mas conrol. En tercero, Sannyasa mas control.

Gurumaharaja hay esperanzas de verlo en México en Mayo o por las fechas de gira? Recuerdo que Prabhu Gadhadara Gosai dijo tener super planes de predica para Monterrey.

4.22PM. Just above freezing outside. Cottage heater is rough but making it. At 72-years old, Brother Ass is a real management challenge. Eat to little or eat to much and in eaither case he is dying of heart attacks or acid indigestion, bur he is becoming a very smart ass in other ways.

We are struggling with the weather (adi daivica), our own body (adi admika)... but HK/HR and we we will find Sita and give Her the BBT Upadesamrta and take Her Full Set Order back to the BBT:

Now have to try to start the Mercedes. It has been on Dr. Desai's charger all day, after 5-months, the battery was at 5%, then go to NgD's home and go walking.
