Hare Krsna querido Guru Maharaja

Deseo su salud se encuentre muy bien.

Yo tenía mucho por contarle, pero por ahora, solo quisiera comentarle que hace aproximadamente 15 días mi madre Citraleka Sakhi DD, fue internada por Covid-19 (Karuna Virus). Por la gracia de Lord Hari, paulatinamente ha manifestado mejoría y los doctores opinan que su recuperación es muy probable. 

Los días previos a ser hospitalizada fueron muy difíciles, pero me dieron oportunidad para hablar con ella sobre la posibilidad de dejar su cuerpo. Aprecie mucho la dependencia que mi madre tiene a la voluntad del Señor Krsna. Ella ha sufrido mucho tiempo con un cuerpo enfermo y, de cierto modo, eso le ayuda a estar consciente de la fragilidad de su cuerpo. (Por supuesto no somos tan elevados y aún tenemos muchos apegos), pero confío plenamente en que, si en el momento de la muerte nosotros nos olvidamos de Krsna, Él nunca se olvidará de nosotros.

A pesar de que ésta, es una situación desagradable... Se convirtió en una gran experiencia, por que en todo momento hemos percibido la protección del Señor Hari y Sus Devotos. Ésta ha sido una gran oportunidad para depender totalmente de Él y sus emisarios, ¡No hay ningún otro refugio!.

Mi padre falleció hace años y sólo somos 5 hermanas (damas) ninguna tiene esposo, algunas son madres solteras. Yo no tengo trabajo y la salud de todos por aquí también colapso a causa del virus, aunque no de manera tan severa como la de mamá. 

Han sido momentos difíciles pero al mismo tiempo extraordinarios... algunas de mis hermanas y yo organizamos Kirtans, sesiones de japa y lectura del Srimad Bhagavatam en casa. Individualmente todas hemos estado orando, escuchando clases e incrementando nuestra japa. 

Su Santidad Bhakti Sundar Goswami Maharaja (Diksa Guru de mi madre) nos sugirió implorar las bendiciones de los vaisnavas y asi lo hicimos. 

Yo sugerí orar para que, pase lo que pase, la conciencia de mi madre permanezca fija en El Señor Supremo y Sus asociados. Pienso que ese es el único lugar seguro, independientemente de que continúe en su cuerpo o no. Y si Lord Hari, lo desea, quizá ella pueda seguir con nosotros distribuyendo los libros de Srila Prabhupada y confeccionando guirnaldas. 

Recuerdo que Mi padre solía recitar las oraciones de Bhismadeva todas las mañanas, pero después se volvió hostil hacía los devotos... a pesar de esa hostilidad, yo pude apreciar como Sri Krsna se hizo cargo de toda la situación cuando mi padre dejó el cuerpo. ¿Qué podría decirse de alguien que ha intentado servirle sinceramente, aún con fallas?... Siempre pienso en que usted menciona "¡Krsna no es un ingrato!" y recuerdo un pasaje bíblico que dice:

"¿Qué padre de vosotros, si su hijo le pide pan, le dará una piedra?... Pues si vosotros, siendo malos, sabéis dar buenas dádivas a vuestros hijos, ¿cuánto más vuestro Padre celestial?"

Lo cierto es que, ésta situación me hizo sentir muy sola y desamparada... Pero también me mostró claramente donde está el Supremo refugio. Usted me dijo una vez "No se preocupe, Krsna se hará cargo de usted". Y Sri Krsna constantemente me demuestra que así es. 🙂

Muchas gracias querido Gurudeva, en todo momento, sus instrucciones son siempre el faro que guía mi barco. Gracias por brindarme su refugio.

I had a lot to tell you, but for now, I would just like to tell you that about 15 days ago my mother, Citraleka Sakhi DD, was hospitalized by Covid-19 (Karuna Virus). By Lord Hari's grace, she has gradually shown improvement and the doctors believe that her recovery is very likely.

The days before I was hospitalized were very difficult, but they gave me an opportunity to talk to her about the possibility of leaving her body. I greatly appreciated my mother's dependence on Lord Krsna's will. She has long suffered with a diseased body and in a way that helps her to be aware of the fragility of her body. (Of course we are not so high and we still have many attachments), but I am fully confident that, if at the moment of death we forget Krsna, He will never forget us.

Despite the fact that this is an unpleasant situation ... It became a great experience, because at all times we have perceived the protection of Lord Hari and Her Devotees. This has been a great opportunity to fully depend on Him and His emissaries. There is no other refuge!

My father passed away years ago and we are only 5 sisters (ladies) none have a husband, some are single mothers. I don't have a job and everyone's health around here also collapsed because of the virus, although not as severely as Mom's.

They have been difficult but at the same time extraordinary moments ... some of my sisters and I organize Kirtans, japa sessions and Srimad Bhagavatam reading at home. Individually we have all been praying, listening to classes and increasing our japa.

HpS - It works...

His Holiness Bhakti Sundar Goswami Maharaja (my mother's Diksa Guru) suggested that we implore the blessings of the Vaisnavas and we did so.

I suggested praying that whatever happens, my mother's conscience will remain fixed on The Supreme Lord and His associates. I think that is the only safe place, regardless of whether it continues in your body or not. And if Lord Hari wishes, perhaps she can continue with us distributing Srila Prabhupada's books and making garlands.

I remember that My father used to recite the Bhismadeva prayers every morning, but later he became hostile towards the devotees ... despite this hostility, I could appreciate how Sri Krsna took over the whole situation when my father left the body. . What could be said of someone who has sincerely tried to serve you, even with failures? ... I always think that you mention "Krsna is not ungrateful!" and I remember a biblical passage that says:

"What father of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? ... Well, if you, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more your heavenly Father?"

The truth is that this situation made me feel very lonely and helpless ... But it also showed me clearly where the Supreme refuge is. You once said to me "Don't worry, Krsna will take care of you." And Sri Krsna constantly shows me that it is so. 🙂

Thank you very much dear Gurudeva, at all times, your instructions are always the beacon that guides my ship. Thank you for giving me your refuge.

HpS - Jaya! When I went to Graduate School in Chicago, PhD candidate. 99% of my money was finished. My father and mother had gone to Arabia for their last contract with the USA government. I was really on my own for the first time, but I also remembered similar statements from the Bible and felt better. Then I experiemented and it was true!!

Let us read more letters. You, your family, can do so much!!!

Dear Hanumat Preshak Swami Humbles and Glories. Thank you for responding to my comments.

All the devotees living in the Santiago Chile temple are serious about their Krishna Consciousness. They rise for the morning program, chant Hare Krishna or hear chanting all day. Each devotee seems to be doing their best.

Piyari Mohan sets up the projector when you give go to meeting class. The temple opened a bakery to make laxmi during the lockdown. Everything they bake sells fast.

It would be nice if Mahatma Prabh came down for awhile and initiated bhakta Sebastian. Though that might not necessarily be something for me to be concerned about. Good things come in good time.

Sometimes I worry too much about things that I have no control over. The solution is in my bead bag. . you always say " there is never a bad day with a good 16 rounds. " Hare Krishna

Guru Maharaja, you asked if I had read Journey to the West. I had not, but have started reading an abridged (~500 page) version called 'The Monkey and the Monk' by an author named Anthony C. Yu. His version seems to be the most widely recommended. I am currently reading it before Krishna Book before bed. I intend to read Mr. Yu's full translation once I have finished this abridged version.

I do not need a reply, but I wanted to answer your question.

HpS - Thank you! We got the full version on our Kindle reader. The introduction is super in terms of understanding Chinese religious history and current world view. It is long and we just got to the story. We read it before, maybe twice, over many years, but now our comprehension will be much deeprer.

Dear Maharaj, thank you for being that pillar in our life that gives stability, security, ability to breathe, sleep and even live in the most turbulent times, when no one or nothing else can. Such is your grace, saints like you selflessly live for others. You keep yourself pure so others can find some solace and relief from material miseries. Thank you for your kind and most valuable association which we do not deserve. It is Krsna's causeless mercy, for probably the sins we have performed, we may not deserve anything good. Yet He is so merciful, He has given so much love and affection through His dear devotees. Relationships with whom, I realize is the most important possession without which one is unfortunate, and very poor. Hence having spiritual relationships like with you is the actual wealth of the soul. Nothing of this world can equal or surpass this sustainence, without which material nature will factually render us insane. I'm going through a difficult time, but I pray that when this phase ends, I never ever forget this one thing I have in my life from the spiritual world. My sadhana: able to chant 16rounds, some hearing, working on improving reading and morning program (really a struggle when living with my husband).

Someone messaged us a few days ago asking to make online videos for basic dance training videos for children 7-12. Any guidance on this subject how to give them some Krsna consciousness through educational dance training (maybe some theatre, yoga, dance steps etc as well)? Is this something I should pursue? Thank you!

HpS - ASA --- AGTSP!!! We don't have any real ideas about the dance videos. We worked with Ranganiketana, Manupuri Dance Theater for many years, but only thing I might think of specifically is "Improvisation for the Theater" by Viola Spolin. It is one of the most useful books in the world.

I think that probably you know more than us.

Krsna is in control. He gives us free will, but if we have even a little energy to be His friend again, then He sends an Acharya!!

How are you?

ASA - AGTSP!!!! paoho....... About the same as you.

I am better now, I was very sick. Coronavirus attack me, very strong, but no so much. I think that i become sick for my offenses. I start an a fight with the new authorities because i considered that they were not doing well his work, but all this effort create in my hurt a desert and depression that open the door to the virus. My japa become without flavor, very sad situation. 

After of be in bed for 4 days and dont feel nothing with the holy name, i considered surrender to my new autorithie and beg for an apology, and i do. Then of that, my japa comes back, in that moment i realize very much things, but especially my problems with the autoriety, the inclination of be the lider, the controller, the judge. In the other hand i really see my most anhartas, pride, anger, intolerance, impatience, and so much dirt.

ASA - Most people think that they are all right! Don't even see the dirt!

For this situation and my bad action, i decide to leave the charge of temple commander, the new administration want that also. This was a very good experience, full of new goals and challenges. Thank you Gurudeva for give me that instruction.
