First, I am so sorry for not being able to answer your question in your previous letter.

These two weeks I was in full workshops organized by the university I worked. They were pretty interesting though. I was thinking that you may like all the tools that are now available in order to face this stage at education. Many interactive platforms in which you can create attractive presentations. Maybe you can use them. One of the platform is called "Genially education"

Your question in my last letter:

So, if you do not join the meetings, are you resigning from the Junta Legal?

It was kind of funny Gurudeva, because in my agenda I could check that on August 16th I was elected vice president of the Junta legal, and one year has passed and nothing has improved. I did not sign as the new vice president. So, I thought how can I quit if I never do my activities as a vice president. For me is just a waste of energy.

HpS - Unfortunately seems like it is true!

Anyway, I as well as LAD presented my resign letter to the junta . I am so sorry, but in all this year we do not make any progress. I am not interested in positions and so forth.

HpS - I think we should always be open to help if there is sane request. I think you have that, but, yes, one year with no action seems to invalidate the logic. Latin American Regional GBC discussed this and we were asked to ask you all who were, I guess voted as Officers of the Junta, if you could at least stay in place for a few more weeks to see if the new Junta can be legalized and then can resign when new members are picked.

For me and my German mentality it is almost incomprehensible. It is not just ISKCON Peru. The government in Peru also is often incomprehensible to us German dominate Gringos.

I just read your post about fighting corruption in ISKCON, and yes, we have to see and contemplate our faults first. I have a lot so. Better try to do my best in this sankirtan movement

Now I am giving virtual classes and trying to connect more with SP's books, that is my smaranam. To look inside not outside me.

10 years from now, my father left this material world, sometimes I would like that he can see all the battles in which I come victorious.

Animal Slaughter , Earthquake and Einstein Pain Wave Theory

Though I am not a geologist or physicist, neither this portal has high concentration of geologist or physicist. Still I choose to write a small article for Journal Viplavah as it will provide a support for sastric ideas by contemporary physics.

So this article serves to be review of contribution of various scholars/writers in this small field. Most of the authors/scholars may seem to be animal activists or propounder of vegetarianism.

However we can use all these to defend ourselves against the onslaught of atheism. With the blessing of Vaisnavas and Esp HH Hanumat Presak Swami, I continue to write this article.

“With the evidence coming from one study after another, scientists are certain about recent quakes in US are man-made. Excessive drilling by oil and mining industry has caused disruption in rock plates resulting in earthquakes. The American Petroleum Institute is now conducting a research over mining and its effects on tectonic plates” ??(Kavali, 2015)?.

Extending on similar lines ??Bajaj and Singh (2018)? says if extensive drilling, mining and dams can cause disruptions in rock/tectonic plates why waves emitted during animal slaughter can do same. When living creatures are slaughtered or killed, the waves emitted are known as Pain Waves. This phenomenon has been completely and experimentally observed ??(Bajaj et al., 1995)?. In slaughter houses and other centres of killing (mechanised and non-mechanised) these EP Waves were vigorously studied at several places, for example, Brain Research Institute, Gurugram (Haryana): National University.

It has been found that EP Waves are different from the waves which we encounter from other sources and these waves are just opposite of compassion waves. EP waves are extremely dangerous, brutal and damaging and have been found to cause several earthquakes. These waves are very similar to shock and underground nuclear explosions. Research indicates that earthquakes are caused by excessive killing of animals emitting pain waves.

While reviewing the work of ??(Bajaj et al., 1995)? animal activist ??Menka Gandhi (2018)? says book claims to have studied the complex role of nociceptive waves in a sentient body — intense chemical (chilli powder in the eyes), mechanical (cutting, crushing), or thermal (heat, cold) stimulation of sensory nerve cells called nociceptors. These nociceptors produce a signal that travels along a chain of nerve fibres via the spinal cord to the brain, resulting in the experience of pain. Nociceptors require a minimum intensity of stimulation before they trigger a signal to the nervous system. Once this threshold is reached, a signal is passed along. Another review by ??(Saxena, 2010)? suggests that the complex role of nociceptive waves (or the waves generated by the immense noise by the animals on the verge of being butchered) in shear-wave splitting which is related to seismic anisotropy. This splitting is associated with the cracks in the crust aligned by stress.

The authors claim that the same kind of pain waves are generated and passed along the crust of the earth by the immense noise and tension generated by animals on the verge of being butchered. These waves result in cracks in the crust in a certain direction, or seismic anisotropy. Their theory is that large-scale abattoir activity is the causative agent for major earthquakes. The authors ??(Bajaj et al., 1995)? have given the examples of the Latur (Khillari) earthquakes in Utterkashi, Assam; the earthquakes of Northridge (1994), Long Beach (California - 1933), Landers (California - 1992), San Francisco (1906), New Madrid (Missouri - 1811-12) in the US; Russia's Neftegorsk (1995) earthquake finds a major mention; and the Kanto (1923), Nobi (1891), Kita-Tango (1927), Sankiru Tsunami (1933), Shizuoka (1935), Tonankal (1944), Nankai (1948), Fukui (1948), Off-Tokachi (1952), Kjta-Mino (1961), Nigata (1964), Off-Tokachi (1968), Kobe (1995) earthquakes in Japan. Who knows when we will develop the technology that can measure collective pain and the frequencies at which it can cause mass destruction.

Though they are multiple factors of earthquakes, like seismic zone, geographical location, volcanic activity. One must also know the Tsunami wave were also caused due to earthquake in ocean. There seems to be link between all natural calamities as highlighted by ??Prabhupada(1977)? in Srimad Bhagvatam Canto 3 Chapter 17. The world has seen multitude of increase variety of animal slaughter of various kinds horses, cows, chicken etc. Such calamites have not left even India. ??Arya (2018)? says that before Mughals came to India there were very less natural calamities in India.

From scriptures we primarily learn that animal are killed for tongue. This is very much true even in old times. However, in the current age, industrialization seems to be the main contributor of animal slaughter. If we have cars, scooters etc, then we are not depended on animals like bull, horse, donkey. They roam freely in the roads, and we see them as trouble for our life. Then in the name of economic prosperity and utilization of resources we sell their meat and advertise them as source of essential animal protein. Though not slaughtering animals will definitely help in diminishing natural disaster, but still we have to take care and utilize animals by reducing dependency on industry.

HpS - Hmmm! That may be rather exaggerated!! 🙂 All glories to Srila Prabhupada! We are maybe 75% his servants and 25% beasts.

My last entry to the blog detailed some less than ideal news about the state of my sadhana & if you asked the Lord to help me, i was helped in a very surprising way.

HpS - ASA -- My goodness, how exciting!!! What will he say, "Next!". This is a fun letter.

Cecilia and I had a home invasion robbery in the middle of May. Thankfully everything such as my car, all my tools, and the higher value electronics were all insured, so aside from the car the claim process went without a hitch. We replaced our doorbell with a ‘ring’ doorbell that a has a feature where you can view crime or attempted crime footage captured by neighbors within a 2-3mi radius & there is footage being shared from our neighborhood every day, every night. One detail i found most surprising about the robbery- ive over-collected a lot of music equipment, and somehow, there was not one thing taken that i had any real attachment to whatsoever! 😮

HpS - Isn't amazing!! We really usually only need very simple tools to do our service.... Then we integrate with other craftsmen and their ability to get the whole job done. Achintya bheda abheda tatttva. Very exciting. Hope you are better adapted to dealing with thieves, though!!!!

I know with no doubt that I love the Lord & wish to follow and walk with those who seek him, but as outlined in my message to you last year, I could fall so far below the standard i vowed to keep that i could hardly expect that i was paying forward enough of the blessings and mercy bestowed on me to please my benefactors or inspire others significantly. Since 2008 i have been consistently swinging back and forth like a pendulum, from making a great effort towards spiritual life and when i reach the point of diminishing returns, and creating problems without simple solutions, slide back down into pointless short term sense gratification. Id use drinking and smoking as a placebo to simply forget or postpone dealing with issues that i could not find a simple way to solve & like someone with shattered passenger window, cover it with plastic and tape, or catching a flat tire, keep rolling forward now on the spare tire, than rather use discipline and intelligence to look more honestly at my own part in how these problems come upon me.

I believe the Lord wishes for something better for me than a beer before bhakti shastri or a smoke after a stressful & hectic day. Once again id find myself to the back wall of that dead-end again.. i give up the nonsense for some time, trying to clear my conscience with the Lord but knowing in the back of my mind its only a matter of time til ill be finding myself running the wrong way again.

HpS - Yeah, but https://vedabase.io/en/library/bg/2/40/!!! We go up and down day to day, week to week, but in the long run whatever we can do for Krsna makes our long term trajectory upward.

One significant way that i hope this time is different... Is after being issued my firearm safety certificate- i know that at this point an error in judgement can have serious consequences for myself and those around me. Up until we had a repeat violent felon with no regard for rights, safety, or lives of others enter our home looking to victimize us, I always though that having a firearm safety certificate was more of a liability than a necessity.

I am very very grateful to the Lord’s mercy in delivering a wake-up call to me by someone else’s negligent behavior rather than face the consequences of my own (although i would never physically harm anyone who was not gravely threatening myself or others).

They say people never change, but i also believe in miracles, because on more than one occasion the Lord and/or his servants have cared enough to turn a great loss into a complete restoration in my life. When things get tough now i dont feel like i have any business turning back because as mentioned the certificate that i have can have terrible consequences unless used safely and responsibly by someone who is not impaired with tendencies toward an error of judgement.

I also signed a lease to my own place in oakland again. The altar i have at home now is in our bedroom and so i cant really worship there before 7-8am & so now that will change. And im hoping to be able to take part in the morning program at the Berkeley temple more often.

Please let me know if i may be able to help with some minor repairs or other service in Murfreesboro soon or after travel is safer. Very open to suggestions on how i could become more fixed up/better devotee. In need of training and guidance. Since the robbery Always completing my rounds and for a while now, doing good with my regs aside from a caffeine drink or tea here and there.

Dear Guru Maharaja, PAMHO, AGTSP! How have you been? I hope your health is fine, I am ok.

HpS - Our body is getting old. Eyes are weak... It is natural. Then this body will become used for making a new body, but we, the passenger, learn to use it as it is better and better for KRSNA!!

Fighting with my mind as usual, I haven´t been able to go to the Temple even though it has opened. I will start teaching in the new school year online, so I´m busier, I also sent my thesis to be read by the committee of professors. I haven´t communicated with you quite often because you have so much work and I do not want to bother you, or give you more work. But I´m fine in general, Baladeva just finished high school and will take his college exam the next year, Subhadra my daugther isn´t studying at the moment because she hates studying online.

HpS - We still have Baladeva's Dragon picture!

I have a question Guru Maharaja, you quite often mention the German style, and since you were very close to Hansadutta Prabhu, I guess you got so many ideas and part of his character, Is that right?

HpS - Yes, we learned a lot from him. Also, rejected some things. Our paternal Grandfather was a Austrian immigrant.

We are influenced by the type of devotees we associate with, I admire you because you are always fighting against any inconveniences.

I hope I can be in your heart and mind as your foolish disciple if I deserve to be yet.

Hare Krishna maharaja, le ofrezco mis humildes reverencias, todas las glorias sean a Srila Prabhupada, ojala se encuentre bien, con respecto a la pregunta que hizo en el reporte anterior, pues si estoy asistiendo a las clases, pero de manera virtual por medio de guías que no tienen mucho sentido de existir, ya que mas que enseñar solo están ahí para que los profesores se ganen el sustento, pasando a otro punto gracias a su consejo ahora canto entre 10 a 12 rondas todos los días e intento llegar a las 12 todos los días, sigue siendo algo complicado, pero cuando me acostumbre podre seguir aumentando rondas hasta que llegue el punto en el que pueda tomar refugio en sus pies de loto.

Debo agradecer a el Prabhu Panca Tattva Das por enseñarme como funciona el sistema de comunicación en este blog, ya que no sabia de que manera responder a sus preguntas, si era a través del mismo informe que por el que me pregunto.

I hope he is well, with respect to the question he asked in the previous report, because if I am attending classes, but virtually through guides that do not make much sense of existing, since more than teaching they are only there for the teachers to earn a living,

moving to another point thanks to their advice now I sing between 10 to 12 rounds every day and I try to arrive at 12 every day,

it is still somewhat complicated, but when I get used to it I can keep increasing rounds until I get to the point where I can take refuge at his lotus feet.

I must thank Prabhu Panca Tattva Das for showing me how the communication system works in this blog, since I did not know how to answer your questions,

if it was through the same report that I was wondering about.
