Esta vez, repasamos con especial atención el primer encuentro de Srila Prabhupada con Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati. Medité en la actitud escéptica del joven Abhay y en cómo su maestro la derrotó, incluso antes de que Abhay pudiera sentarse, – “Ustedes son jóvenes educados. ¿Por qué no predican el mensaje del Señor Caitanya Mahāprabhu por todo el mundo?” les dijo –  😌😲 ["The one inch punch"]

Aquel instante decretó la salvación de millones de almas sedientas de conocimiento espiritual. ¡Solo Krsna el misericordioso, podría estar detrás de esta estrategia maestra! ¡Todas las Glorias a Sri Krsna y al Guru parampara! 🌺

Srila Prabhupada, constató que su Guru es un representante genuino de Sri Krsna, así que se entregó por completo; con total determinación, confianza y fe a cumplir sus instrucciones. De este modo percibía día a día la compañía, guía y apoyo de su excelso maestro y de Sri Sri Radha Damodara.

Las instrucciones de su Guru son para Prabhupada la vida misma, el aire vital – mac-cittā mad-gata-prāṇā… – y hasta el último aliento, fue dedicado para cumplir con esa misión. ¡Qué relación tan trascendental!

¡Cuán glorioso debió ser el reencuentro entre Srila Prabhupada y su Gurumaharaja! – Un comandante en jefe, presentándose victorioso después de una épica batalla. –

Naturalmente pensamos en nuestra propia experiencia… Por la misericordia sin causa de Srila Prabhupada, tenemos la inmerecida fortuna de haber tomado refugio en usted, querido Guru Maharaja. Su Harinama y Sannyasa Diksa, han determinado el rumbo de mi vida y la de muchísimas personas. Gurumaharaja, muchas gracias por comandarnos expertamente en este ejercito de Srila Prabhupada. Deseo, por su misericordia sin causa, vivir una vida por la que no tenga que avergonzarme al presentarme frente a usted, espero que mis actos no ensucien la reputación de tan exaltados maestros. Sé que he perdido y perderé muchísimas batallas, aun así, siempre me esfuerzo por vivir una vida que me permita presentarme ante usted y decir sinceramente: “Mi Señor; aquellas fueron batallas perdidas, pero bien luchadas. Hicimos todo lo que estuvo a nuestro alcance”. Querido Gurudeva, muchas gracias por sus instrucciones, muchas gracias por mantenernos vivos y en la lucha, por favor, perdone a este soldado de baja clase y ocúpeme siempre en servicio a nuestro divino Fundador-Acarya.

Le compartimos que después de luchar contra el cáncer el pasado jueves prabhu Radha Raman dejó el cuerpo y esta vida en Monterrey, podría tratar de compartir todas las cualidades de tan querido devoto pero no podría yo ser capaz, me a dado mucha nostalgia este acontecimiento porque antes de conocer a los devotos yo visité el restaurante Govinda´s que era negocio de prabhu Radha Raman por ahi del año 2011 fue mi primer contacto con los devotos y definitivamente quedan muchos recuerdos y nostalgia de cuando conocí a los devotos en 2012 .

Ofrecimos el espacio de predica de nuestro restaurante para el funeral del devoto, sorprendentemente muchos devotos asistieron a dar su ultimo adiós.

Realizamos kirtan, lectura, bhajan, sadhu sanga lo que pudiera hacerse para dar un ambiente propicio y digno para su trascendental partida.

We shared that after fighting cancer, last Thursday, Prabhu Radha Raman left his body and this life in Monterrey, I could try to share all the qualities of such a dear devotee but I would not be able to, this event has made me very nostalgic because before meeting the devotees, I visited Govinda's restaurant, which was Prabhu Radha Raman's business, around 2011.

It was my first contact with the devotees and there are definitely many memories and nostalgia left from when I met the devotees. in 2012.

We offered the preaching space of our restaurant for the devotee's funeral, surprisingly many devotees attended to say their last goodbye.

We performed kirtan, reading, bhajan, sadhu sanga whatever could be done to provide a conducive and dignified environment for his momentous departure.

HpS - It is 1932. Our Father is leaving for a three year contract in China. There will be letters. telegrams, long, long, long distance phone calls on our birthday.

I am following the 4 regulative principles. I am struggling to complete my rounds now that we don't have any support at home. Vishaka's parents have left for India. I will strive to complete my rounds, Guru Maharaj.

Regarding this letter, initially we had planned to do the rice feeding ceremony on the 18th of December Guru Maharaj, but since your Vyasa Puja is on 31st, we wouldn't be able to make the trip twice.

So, we thought we would do the ceremony on the 1st of January, if that's ok with you Guru Maharaj.

Dear Guru Maharaja,

The store is in our house. So I can go and pick up the kids from school and be with them all afternoon.

We always have kirtan playing. Kadamba Kanana Swami, Jahnavi Harrison, Acyuta Gopi, Niranjana Swami and Madhava Prabhu.

We are going to order more BBT titles, we only have 4 titles.

Thank you very much for encouraging me to continue with the courses. It is not easy to continue, but it is a pleasure to do service.

Yes Gurudev, it is Professor Claudia Lira in the photograph I sent in the previous letter. She is very nice.

So nice to hear from you and to be connected through this blog platform once again. Though I feel like I’m with you in the morning program and I have the great fortune of following your activities on Facebook and Twitter. But It’s always like a bolt of lightning when receiving your personal messages. A reminder of the ultimate goal of life and a clear picture of where I am at, simultaneously. There’s quite a gap. It’s encouraging and humbling in one shot. 

Yes, the community here in general is like an upside down and distorted version of what I think real community might be. And no one knows each other, it’s true. Everyone in their own isolated box of comfort, “pleasures” and miseries. Reminds me of that quote: “most people are living out quiet lives of desperation”…while saying: “I'm doing good”.

We long for village life and more association with devotees but at the same time are dealing with our own rugged individualist tendencies and contaminations.

HpS - That's the American Way, no? John Wayne, James Bond.

Despite all of that I find many moments throughout the day of clarity and connection to you. Started a Japa call for a few new Bhaktas: Braxton, Connor and Jack. They join almost every morning at some point in a two and half hour long duration. Getting most of my rounds in before breakfast and before the baby terror wakes up. Yamuna is advancing though but we can’t tell if she’s a great devotee or a great demon sometimes ha ha..

ASA - Can we be both?? 🐵

I’ve been giving talks every Thursday on Vaisesika Prabhu’s new book: The Four Questions. And then every Friday Anadi and I have been doing a class on Nectar Of Instruction using your Tava Pache Pache for Power point inspiration and discussion points. People have been engaged. Thank you for this commentary and for inspiring us to do this. 

Govardhana Puja was really deep and not a huge turn out but a quality crowd. I’m still working on our hill and making artful signage in yellow, red and the perfect green. I almost don’t want to finish it because then it could come to life and then I would really have to surrender! Ha ha and yes making it higher and charging people to commit transcendental suicide off of it is a good idea! Some wild preaching that would be. 

There is so much more I want to tell you but I don’t want to be too long winded. 

Thank you, Maharaja for everything and for remembering me. Been feeling a new level of conviction about this process and it appears Krishna is taking many things away from me to keep me out of trouble. It is all due to your mercy and kindness.
