Hare Krishna beloved Guru Maharaja, today I was listening to your class in the morning where you describe the time of death of Bishmadeva. You also were describing that the attachment to material things is bad because it creates lust for instance. So then I thought if getting attachment to the guru isn´t something subtle too, for instance sometimes we or some devotees believe we are your eternal associates, Is that true?

HpS - ASA --- Thank you for this letter. Becoming attached to Krsna or Balarama or Krsna's flute or His messenger such as Guru are all fine, but we may become attached to Prasadam because it tastes good, so that is a weed growing along with our pure attachment, and that will keep us in the material plane.

To know our sva-rupa, form in spiritual life and eternal associates, is some thing we cannot really until the Bhava stage. Of course, as Krsna gave special mercy to Narada Muni in SB 1.6, so Krsna can show us things, but we can only appreciate them as impetous for purification, not practical work.

How do we know we are your eternal servants, I think this is some sort of sentimentalism. It is fine to think we deserve your shelter, but I do not think we are about close to be your eternal associates unless we are too much advanced in devotional service, I am not at least. We of course should aspire to be close to your lotus feet though.

HpS - Yes. Of course everyone is different, but we can have clear vision of our sva-rupa in Bhava. Described in Southern part of NOD.

Before that, always nice rounds, 4-regs strict, mangala arati, feeling Krsna's guidance as the Super soul.

What should we desire at the moment of death Gurudeva? I think just to remember Krishna and guru would be enought to finish our path on this material life, What do you think and how do we know what is the correct thing to do?

HpS - It is different for different people. The word is 'smaranam', meditation more than remembering some fact, or picture.

At the time of death we should be doing whatever regular duties we have in this world, while increasing our internal development.

Text 8 of NOI is of course perfect description.

Usually old age precedes death and that is proper stimulous for preparation for death.

I am not associating to anybody, answering your previous question from my last letter. Krishna probably cursed me hahaha

HpS - Keep your self pure by Srila Prabhupada's Sadhana and then look for the innocent people Krsna sends and give them your association so that they can progress.

Srila Prabhupada gave us the KRSNA book and so much more. He was managing his chemical factory and then became a full time Brahmana absorbed in writing and teaching!

We worked on the 'Viplavah' today. We finished editing Vaisesika Das' interview.

It is amazing how we got it transcibed so quickly.

It took a fair amount of editing but it is so nice.

Maybe we can finish 'Viplavah' tomorrow.

Have not been able to get to too much more mail.

Our eyes just won't handle too much more screen work.

H. H. Guru-prasad Swami being enthused by H. G. Aravinda Das has sent us an e-mail asking us to enthuse our disciples to buy many books for the Krist Mas Marathon!

We are not sure what 'disciple' means in this context. It could mean the devotees who sent in their Annual Reports and were following Srila Prabhupada's standard for initiated disciples last year.

However, I guess the most practical definition would be the readers of this Blog who are not reporting their scores to another ISKCON Temple etc.

Buy a case of BBT books yourself, or write here that you will share a case with others, and how they can contact you.

Then, become a wise man from the East, giving gifts (books) all year, 2021, to the followers of Baby Jesus, wherever you go, however you meet them.

We buy cases of Light of the Bhagavata, Nectar of Instruction and Teachings of Lord Caitanya (hardbound) regularly.

Finalmente acabaron las clases en el colegio. Fue un año muy intenso, pero aprendimos muchas cosas, especialmente la capacidad de los niños por aprender de una manera diferente a lo habitual.

Hace unas semanas pudimos por fin ver a nuestra doctora. Despues de varios meses pudimos conversar con ella y ver como estaba esta maquina (cuerpo). Su conclusión: Necesito comer algo de carne para poder mantener mi sistema inmunológico fuerte, mas en esta pandemia.

Mi madre esta muy bien. En las mañanas esta haciendo ejercicios físicos, también algunos ejercicios para trabajar la memoria. Mi tía, que vivía cerca, dejo el cuerpo el año pasado.

How old are your students?

tienen 11 años

What are you teaching them?

Enseño todos los cursos. Matemáticas, lenguaje, personal social, ciencia y tecnología, música, manualidades, ingles, etc.

Of course, you are teaching them what is life, by your attitude, no?

Si. Muy difícil, porque basicamente enseñamos con el ejemplo. La relación del ser humano con la naturaleza, a través de los cursos que damos. Descatar al ser humano como un ser en devenir.

Can you describe a couple of them?

Hay un niño que es como yo cuando estaba en el colegio: muy inteligente, muy hábil, pero muy distraído, muy hablador y muy gracioso. Tengo otra niña que le encanta leer, todos los días lee mucho porque quiere saber muchas cosas y quiere ser presidente de la república y cambiar el mundo.
