Nitisar Das was recently visiting Portland, Oregon and mentioned your plans to visit Boise in August (I believe).

We would love to extend an invitation to come down to Portland and would be happy to cover the cost of travel. We just opened Portland Bhakti Center on New Year’s Day and our developing congregation would be so fortunate to have your association.

Please consider my request and let me know if you have any questions or would like to discuss our program here.

ASA - Hare Krsna!!! Sri Sriman Go var dhana Das. Now our Donkey, Body, has 72-American Hippy years on it. It is barely moving. We can see the "Exit" sign just 3-years down the road. So.... we will just be going to Boise, stay there for three weeks. If anyone wants to visit us then please make arrangements with Niti sara Das!

Of course, we can do online programs while we are there that will be in almost the same time zone.

In general, we have many online programs so that ISKCON (Im)portland can come up to its full potential.

Querida comunidad vaisnava de Iskcon Chile. 

Por favor acepten nuestras humildes reverencias,

Todas las glorias a Srila Prabhupada! 

Mediante este comunicado queremos aclarar los hechos ocurridos hoy en dependencias de nuestro templo Iskcon Chile. 

Pyari Mohan Das es un devoto que reside en el templo hace 2 años. Hace muchos años él padece depresión bipolar, cuando está medicado mantiene la enfermedad controlada. Durante los últimos meses en el templo, él pensó que podría estar bien sin medicamentos, por lo que suspendió su uso de manera irresponsable, sin informar a la administración. Siendo consciente de padecer esta enfermedad, como adulto, ocultó la información. 

Debido a esto, el día de hoy él tuvo una descompensación grave, atacando a Guru Govinda Devi Dasi de manera grave, tanto de forma verbal, fisica y sexual. Ella se encontraba cocinando para la deidad en el templo. 

Afortunadamente, habían otros devotos en el templo, quienes pudieron reducirlo y llevarlo al área psiquiátrica del Hospital Félix Bulnes, donde se encuentra internado en este momento a la espera de un diagnóstico. 

Queremos informar que estamos prestando todo el apoyo necesario a Guru Govinda, quien se encuentra ciertamente afectada y shockeada por la situación que vivió. 

También estamos acompañando a Pyari Mohan en el psiquiátrico a la espera de su diagnóstico. Por el momento él tendrá prohibida la entrada a las instalaciones del templo debido al peligro que puede significar su estado con suspensión de medicamentos. Los devotos pueden orar por su recuperación y mantener el resguardo necesario frente a esta lamentable y gravísima situación. 

Como miembros de la administración y juntamente con madre Guru Govinda estamos haciendo la denuncia ante Carabineros.

HpS - ASA - AGTSP paoho We received this from devotee in Santiago and have not had direct contact with the administration in Chile.

As we understand the situation it could be mostly mistakes because of ignorance or there could be an element of personal responsibility involved in the situation.

Looking at the reality of mental problems there can be explosions of insanity that we do not expect or can control.

On the other hand, we can not take our medication knowing that this puts others at risk.

Which is the case we don't know.

We were thinking that Mother Guru-govinda Dasi could be traumatized to the point of paranoiac withdrawing from ISKCON, devotee association, but we were humble, proud, enlivened to see her in Mangala arati etc the next day.

We hope that Piyari-mohan Das is also doing well.

If he was the victim of his previous Karma, then we hope that people can tell him that and let him know that we all want to help him correct any mistakes and learn to defeat this problem forever.

As a starting initiative, I am thinking of small 500 word article based on Shakespeare quotes: 100 words to set the context, 200 words to analyze universal human values and 200 words to present some Vedic spiritual / devotional message. Do you think this will have an audience?

ASA - AgtSP!!! paoho. I don't know about audiences too much. I think it would be best to try it and see how it works. Then adjust it if it seems useful for delivering the message of Sri Krsna Chaitanya

Glory to the fervent Sankirtana of Caitanya Mahaprabhu. Thank you very much for all that you give us every day through FMP, and continuous classes on Srimad Bhagavatam. In this corner of the world, the cold is already beginning to enter the houses, in Karuna virus mode, we are here with my wife and my two refugee children, balancing material and spiritual aspects. Some time ago we moved to a place closer to the countryside, we somehow left the city, in pursuit of the well-being of the children and their spiritual development.

ASA - That is very generous and wise.

 I have been in service for some time with a group of devotees, promoting a project called Vaisnavas Care supported by Mother Sangita. I have focused most of the time on caring for the devotee, maintaining connection with them, fostering care, appreciation and attention.

The truth is that it is a very delicate service and people need to be listened to and cared for to help them in their spiritual process, maintaining both psychological and material supports for daily life.

Specifically Vaisnavas Care as such, is intended as support for people in their last moments of their life, appeasing as much as we can the material influence, so that that last moment is the closest to spirituality.

We continue day by day getting up early trying to sing sincere rounds. By following 4 principles and cooking for Krsna in some way in practical service.

For a year now with a group led by Jagad Guru das, we are studying Lord Caitanya's teachings. A very inspiring book with teachings in its words of great value. Very impressed with how Prabhupada speaks through that particular book.

Right now we are with my wife promoting Srimad Bhagavatam classes for children through the guidance of Mother Aruddha.

 Gurumaharaja, we wanted to ask you a great favor. For some time here in Chile we have carried out a project of Srimad Bhagavatam classes every day in the morning with different local speakers. Soon we will finish the first Canto and we wanted to know if you could help us by presenting a Bhagavatam class for the last chapter of the first Canto of the week of July 5-11. We have tentative dates according to your availability and calendar for Monday the 5th, Tuesday the 6th, or Sunday the 11th. 8 am Chile time. We can also adapt the schedule if another schedule is more accessible.

I hope that you are well and that Lord Caitanya pours out his infinite mercy on you. Thank you for every day reminding us of the importance of establishing that lost link with God ...

HpS-ASA - I think all the devotees benefit so much from your steady association. Did you get this from your parents? Any employer would be lucky to have you as an employee. What is your good wife and children's names?

Monday the 5th seems very good.
