I was wondering if I have an Ashram. I do not considered myself [as] a Brahmacarini, even if I am following strictly all the principles for 6 years. I laugh sometimes when some friends tell me how is it possible that you remain celibate. I always answer is my Guru's mercy ¡¡¡

My father raised me as a boy haha. "You have to study", "You have to earn your own money", "Pay your debts on time", "Be responsible", "Be a good person", etc. He never discuss marriage life with me haha.

My mother always tell me someone may appear and take care of you. I know that you can protect me but as a San[n]yasi. I have to respect the proper etiquette. In the past I remembered that you try to put me in contact with Grhastas like Dayanidhi and his wife, Namacarya when he was married to Esther pffff long time ago haha. But it did not work out.

Then, I recall that you said once that our deities [will] take care of us. So, I guess that I am in that position. I do not picture myself living in a temple. Maybe in the future, I like Novagokula. What do you think?

HpS - ASA --- Hansadutta Maharaja told us that Srila Prabhupada initiated one devotee as Karttikeya Das, and said, "Your name is Karttikeya Das. He is the commander and chief of the demigods. If you fall, we all fall!".

We have been able to follow principles before and since initiation. One dream of illicit life that we may have accepted with too much enthusiasm, but was over 20-years ago, and these passions diminish. The process works!

We have disciples, devotees whom we have initiated who are better Brahmanas, B'caris, than us. We have others who have been involved with serious problems with even very unfortunate situation of abortion.

Kartikeya Das fell. We all fall in some degree. Akrura failed to act properly when he took Krsna away!

If we come back and learn from our mistakes we are sincere. It was an accident.

First, we are devotees, chant Hare Krsna, four regs. Then, question of how to apply that in DVAD comes:

• Daughter.
• Wife.
• Mother.

How many kids did Lord Caitanya's wife, Smt. Visnupriya have?

You are a daughter!

Your determined attempts at marriage have failed, no? So what? 😉 Gandhari didn't have much success with her marriage either.

Your civil Ashrama is daughter. Maybe there will be a Vanaprastha partner? Yet, maybe is best if you just worship your deities and see what your real relationship is.

If the situation in Peru changes for bad with the new government maybe I will need to start over in another country. I am not accustomed to have a miserable material life (in money terms). I have to be honest with that.

So do I have an Ashram? I have that inquiry?

How are you doing?

HpS - AgtSP!! Paoho... Honestly speaking, I think we are doing just like you! You are nice devotee struggling to become purified, wake up, and so are we. We have different positions. Have been missing your association for some time. Always think of you we do Puja to Prahlada deity.

I have listened to some of your classes, but not all because my mobile can´t have all the apps, due to the full capacity.

I wanted to tell you that the next Friday June 4th I will be having my bachelor´s exam on Pedagogy with the topic "Is there a Pedagogical theory?", so I have been busy. I hadn´t written you because I also wanted to rest about so many problems in the temple and confusions and divisions too. So I prefer to be away from devotees for sometime.

We must be 100% dedicated to helping Srila Prabhupada's institution, ISKCON, but of course, that requires different relations. Krpa acharya stayed with Durodhana and the Kurus, like Bhisma and Drona, to the end, but Krsna did not reject him. Rather he made him the Acharya for Yuddhisthira after the battle. On the other hand, Vidura left and went on pilgrimage. Find our best position to:

1. Help Srila Prabhupada's institution.
2. Develop our friendship with devotees.
3. Develop our direct relationship with Srila Prabhupada

I also wanted to tell you, if you remember when I gave you Hanuman deity, it was me who gave you Hanuman on your Vyasa Puja festival in 2003, my mother in law at that time worked in the boutique at Vrinda temple, so she had two Hanumans, so I asked her to sell me one for you because I thought that would be a nice present,

she had two hanumans and I chose the nicer one for you, I still keep the other, I attached photos here.

At the bottom Hanuman had a tag that said made in Nepal, but it was me who gave it to you, this is something personal, you don´t need to say he is Mexican, or mention my name if you don´t feel like doing so.

I hope you are fine, also I told [. . . an older godbrother] that I was going to be away from devotees because I felt offended and angry for the nasty homophobic comments he made against my daughter Subhadra with no reason. So I never talk to him again.

So I hope this letter finds you well, I sent a happy birthday message on Whatsapp on January 12th this year, but you didn´t reply. I guess you have rejected me as your disciple.

. Of course, I don't "reject you as a disciple". You can be upset quite naturally if other devotees say stupid things, but we don't even reject a blade of grass. We adjust our relations according to our development and then see how we can help people act and understand things properly, no?

We got like 15,000,115 Whatsapp messages. On our "birthday". We said that we just could not handle all of them. Maybe everyone send a greeting on THEIR birthday!

Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun, but all the planets have a individual relation with the Sun, no?

Tomorrow is your test! Hope you take Krsna's association.

Of course, we are all going to die and leave our Sankirtan in the hands of others as we got it from the hands of others, but nice to do what we can while we are here. We look at the sunrise beach photo daily and aspire for your associaction....

I'm doing as you requested Maharaj, to post the Krsna Conscious or Krsna related artworks I've been working on these last months, and I will continue to post whatever super soul guides me to create so that devotees can see as well.

I hope you are in good health. I haven't written the MOE report to you for a few months, and neither have my personal report.

I will try to summarize the most relevant news to bring you up to date. As I mentioned [to] you on the phone, we have moved to the city of Huaraz, 260 miles from Lima, at the foot of the Cordillera Blanca, a place of great natural beauty.

Since I can carry out our main work and service online, we prefer to settle here and begin another chapter of our lives.

HpS - It will include the previous chapters but with greater perspective.

The stage of service in the temple seems to have been left behind. In a climate controlled by mistrust, fear and conflict it is more difficult to develop our devotional path (maybe this is a big limitation of ours).

ASA - 😮 ???

For the time being, we are ready to consolidate our process in the small temple of our house, and if Krsna wishes, to preach His science to whoever is willing to hear it.

ASA - He wishes! Yes, there are faults in ISKCON. There were demons coming to Braja when Krsna was personally present there and by their loud sounds causing the girls to have miscarriages! So, problems in the institution and we always work to correct them, but as you say, we also have to work on making our personal Ashrama healthy. Both are necessary. They help each other.

The work of the MOE has progressed slowly. Education in many Yatras is deeply and worryingly politicized. Education boils down to Srimad Bhagavatam's class (at best) and, I believe, huge opportunities to systematize educational programs are missed by taking advantage of the myriad of digital platforms.

This is how I see it. However, there are perspectives at a regional level, the regional representatives seem enthusiastic about what I think that pedagogical development can be, strengthened by working at a more independent level from local authorities, with the institutional support of the MOE. They are just ideas, hopefully the Lord and you could give us some light on this.

HpS - Is good attitude. Always well wisher of everyone. Bali-mardana Das is working on this systematic institutional level, and we are trying to help from our position. It is not our immediate nature, but that is O.K! Great preachers, who do it through cooking and Prasadam distribution, may not even have a Sastric ability even up to the Bh. Sastri level, but they may know things more advanced that a Bhakti vedanta diplomat by their own method.

Find our relation to the formal academic aspect of KC, no?

Then help to develop it.

Education all over the world is in great crisis.

Have you registered for Bali-mardana Das' Viplavah conference July 29 - Aug 1, and helping build a team of a few others from Pan-america to join? Can we join your team? Viplavah symposium will be each evening but we could do exciting, informative, practical, meetings in our hemisphere during the day, and/or before and after these days.

It is time for the West to lead again.

Estoy siguiendo su sankirtan a través del blog y ASA y veo que todavía esta muy activo para su edad.

Yo continúo sin muchos cambios. Quería dedicar esta carta a Avesa Rupa prabhu, así que publico la carta que hice para él en e onceavo dia despues de su desaparición:

CARTA A SRIMAN AVESA RUPA PRABHU

"vancha kalpatarubhyas ca kripa-sindhubhya eva ca

Querido Avesa Rupa prabhu:

Ya sé que no te gusta que te glorifiquen pero, dadas las circunstancias, me veo en la obligación de hacerlo.

Hace unos días que partiste y ha sido algo más duro de lo que me esperaba. No va a ser fácil para mí ni para mi familia llenar el hueco que deja tu ausencia. Aunque soy consciente de que el tiempo calmará la tormenta.

Voy a intentar ser breve y resaltar solo algunas cosas de las que he observado en estos más de veinte años que llevamos trabajando y disfrutando juntos. Este intento será algo así como tratar de alumbrar el sol con un mechero.

Has tratado de “pasar de puntillas” por este mundo, pero creo que no lo has logrado. Naciste el día de la “Ascensión de la Virgen”, cuando media España estaba celebrando sus fiestas patronales y te fuiste el día de Sita Devi, la “Reina de la Devoción”; dos días muy señalados, tanto en el calendario cristiano como en el vaisnava. Eso sí, te fuiste sin hacer ruido en la mas completa intimidad.

Se van a recordar mucho tus 43 ininterrumpidos largos años que has estado distribuyendo, contra viento y marea, (más de ocho meses haciendo sankirtan con un catéter urinario o sorteando las restricciones covid en tus últimos meses, por ejemplo), los libros y revistas de Srila Prabhupada (cerca de 200.000 ejemplares). Unas cifras propias de un héroe y dignas de admiración.

Pero para mí esas cifras admirables no son más que una fachada, la fachada del “palacio de tus cualidades”; un palacio donde sobresalen tantas cualidades como la humildad, determinación, tolerancia, paciencia, sencillez, conocimiento, misericordia, etc. Nunca has dado demasiada importancia a tu gesta y siempre te has considerado un humilde sirviente de los sirvientes de Prabhupada.

La corrección de tu comportamiento también es resaltante. Después de más de veinte años de relación estrecha y familiar como teníamos, siempre has mantenido la buena costumbre de dar reverencias después de la ducha de la mañana y antes de acostarte, día tras día y año tras año, y a pesar de que eres un devoto mayor que yo, siempre me trataste como tu autoridad, pidiendo autorización para poder viajar a India en peregrinación o a otros lugares del planeta, o consultando cualquier gasto extraordinario, grande o pequeño, de los recursos que tú mismo generabas.

 También recuerdo cuando me llamaste desde el Hospital de Calcuta y me dijiste: “Jayanta sácame de aquí”. Me enfadé mucho al saber que ya llevabais tiempo de calvario por los hospitales de India y no me habíais avisado. Sufrí mucho viéndote en esa situación y Adiras pagó las consecuencias con una reprimenda.

Después me dijo que tu no querías que yo lo supiera para no preocuparme.

Tu conocimiento y amor a la naturaleza y a los animales no pasan desapercibidos en tu vida y, personalmente, he podido comprobar como dabas la misericordia a los animales de forma sistemática y continua. Te hemos visto dar de comer (prasadam) a vacas, caballos, aves, perros, gatos, etc. por toda la geografía de España; dar de comer en la mano a cabras montesas en la Sierra de Gredos, a zorros en la Sierra de Cazorla (una de esas veces, animaste a Nimai, que tendría dos o tres años, a darle de comer contigo a los zorros); le dabas prasadam a todo tipo de animales por los que sentías gran compasión y a los que ayudabas en su avance espiritual con estas actividades.

Tu conocimiento de las Escrituras era resaltante y apreciábamos mucho tus escasas clases tan llenas de realización y en las que el empleo de los adjetivos de la lengua española era extremadamente preciso y admirado. Pero estas clases fueron escasas porque tratabas de evitar tener una posición resaltante en la comunidad de devotos. 

En mi humilde opinión, en estos últimos años no sólo has sido el sankirtanero de España sino también el brahmacari de España, Brahmacari con mayúsculas porque no he visto a ningún otro tratar a las mujeres con tal naturalidad y sin ningún vestigio de apego ni aversión. Esa distancia justa que hace que las relaciones sean naturales y no artificiales.

Cuando dejaste tu cuerpo y, por motivos profesionales, el señor de la funeraria preguntó si estabas dado de alta en la Seguridad Social, si cobrabas alguna paga, si tenías alguna cuenta bancaria, si tenías algo a tu nombre, coche, etc. La respuesta fue siempre NO. El hombre estaba muy sorprendido hasta que le dijimos que eras un monje (un monje de verdad).

Tu convicción en el proceso estaba alimentando por tu actitud ininterrumpida e inmotivada en el servicio. Nunca esperabas nada a cambio de tu servicio, ni reconocimiento, ni dinero, ni fama, etc. (de hecho, huías de la fama tal como lo hacen las grandes almas “paramahamsas”).

Eras critico con algunas actitudes o modelos de gestión pero no eras criticón y evitabas criticar a los devotos y nunca olvidabas sus buenas cualidades.

Sin tu gran determinación, no hubiera sido posible la proeza de estar tanto tiempo en primera línea en el frente de la prédica. Prédica más sobresaliente por la calidad que por la cantidad, que no es poca.

Tampoco hubieras podido hacer lo que has hecho en las últimas décadas sin la ayuda de otro gran guerrero como Adiras prabhu, que ha sido el único que ha podido aguantar tanto tiempo la intensidad de tu ritmo cuando entrabas en modo “sankirtan”.

No quiero ocupar más espacio en tu glorificación que podría alargar mucho más y dejo que los demás devotos también puedan hacerlo.

Quiero darte las gracias en mi nombre y en el de mi familia, (a la que tú pertenecías), por darnos tu asociación y tantos buenos momentos. Tanto cuando veníais a casa como cuando íbamos a visitaros a vuestra casa de sankirtan, para nosotros siempre fue una fuente de alegría. Cuando decíamos “este fin de semana viene Avesa” o “este fin de semana vamos con Avesa” (que también incluye a Adiras) ya comenzábamos a disfrutar con la expectativa de tener vuestra asociación, prasadam, bhajans, lectura, rutas, etc.

Ha sido un enorme placer luchar contigo codo con codo en muchas batallas, sobre todo cuando me tocaba proteger tu posición.

Ésta no es una carta de despedida porque estoy convencido de que todavía nos quedan batallas que pelear y guerras por ganar.

Hasta siempre querido amigo. Nos volveremos a ver con toda seguridad haciendo el papel que nos toque en el guión que Krisna haya diseñado. Gracias de nuevo por todo lo que hemos vivido y por la inspiración y enseñanzas que ha dejado tu comportamiento ejemplar.
