Personally sadhana and Mandir report

3 years, 11 months ago by Yamuneswar Das in Personal Sadhana Reports

All Glories to Shri A C Prabhupada, Sripada and HpS Guruji Maharaja.

Dandavat Pranam!

I have read Gurugi's reply and re-read Krsna chapters.

As narrated by Prabhu Partha Sarthi Dada the story of Yamu and Krsna are found in the book Puranic Encyclopedia: Yamuna is the daughter of Surya Deva and twin brother of Yamraj, again the sister of Sanideva.

Yamuna is one of the wife of Krsna and play with gopis after rasalila in the Yamuna.

It is a long puranic story, I am so satisfy to know the story of Yamunesvara: The iswara of Yamuna; Krsna.

Yours fallen servant,

Yamunesvara Das.

HpS - Thank you. I have seen one maybe two Puranic Encyclopedias. One friend, Balabhadra Das in Boise, Idaho, has a copy. I think that Srila Prabhupada spent a long time in the library using the Puranic Encyclopedia to write the biographys that he has in the purports to the first two cantos.

We also read that Yamuna is the liquid form of Visaka Devi.

Krsna - Yamunesvara.

😀

Do you have Sadhu sanga for reading with other devotees?

🍁

Hare Krishna, Maharaja,

Please accept my humble obeisances.

All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

There is a house available on Lokey street about a mile from your Ashrama.

It's available from July 11 to July 15.

Should we book it Maharaja?

Your servant, Sundari Radhika devi dasi

HpS - ASA - AgtSP! paoho.... Thank you for your kind association. It seems fine from our side.

No calendar conflicts or great universal cataclysmic events happening.

It will be very nice having the association of everyone during those days.

Our real concern is that Sri Krsna Chaitanya and the whole Panca tattva take us in hand and give us some good service to offer to Radha Krsna during those days.

Mr. Peanut

asa-e, mr. peanut, s/a prasadam

AgtSP! paoho/bw. We buy 1-oz. Planter's Peanuts packages in boxes of fifty. They're cheap that way. Then we Sri Visnu them! Offer them to Lord Nrsmhadeva, put on our ASA sticker and distribute them liberal as God's own crumbs!

Because they are plastic-packed and the familiar face of Mr. Peanut is there, no one doubts their purity.

Mr. Peanut was born in 1928. That's what Webster told us today.

We were out for a morning walk around our block, and he assailed us friendly. Shirt was soiled, breath was foiled, but he was all hands-on-deck for battle.

We had a pack of P-nut Prasad in our belly-sack and flacked him in a second. Later a calling card. While he held forth on the origin of the species (Mr. Peanut).

We've noticed that Mr. Peanut has:

  1. A graceful three-fold bending posture,
  2. A third-eye,
  3. A Danda.
  4. A B'cari he be, it seems to we.

We were thinking thus and then the voice of Guilty Conscience said, "Why are you always so whimsical! Can't you be serious!", and the second we thought that, on the hedge leading up to our Ranga-niketana camp was an empty Mr. P-nut wrapper!!!

Mr. Pnut is a partial incarnation of The Divine Spirit.

Also, we saw a painting once with many Mr. Peanuts with wings fly upwards titled, "Mr. Peanut Goes to Heaven".

Prasadam and Kirtan for the Masses, books for the classes.

LAD & RR renewed program

3 years, 11 months ago by laksmana-agraja in Personal Sadhana Reports

Hare Krishna, dear gurudeva, Pamho, AGTSP!

For Lord Nrsimha appearance day we (Raman reti d d and LAD) started our renewed daily program (described bellow).

After 4 month of RR arrival to Peru, we have achieved great goals.

Our sadhana is better, our schedule is more fixed.

The offerings and attention to the Deities of Goura nitay, and our inaugurated Lord Nrsimhadeva have been a great advance for our spiritual life.

Our apartment on the roof of my house is quite advanced. Our kitchen for the Lord is stocked with almost everything that is needed to offer him good offerings. By the mercy of many friends and devotees we have been able to acquire many things to attend Krishna properly.

We also inaugurated our temple hall with a makeshift altar with a wardrobe, but it's pretty cool. We were able to put windows and other things that we were missing. Now we only need a few chairs and cushions to be able to serve guests.

For now, we celebrate the holidays with good prasadam that we share with my family and some friends. In the future we will be able to invite devotees to our celebrations. The temple hall has also been designed to be able to give lectures to guests that I am sure Krishna will send soon.

That was the idea from the beginning. Have a small preaching center. Invite prasadam to guests. In the future, we will see the possibility, as you told us, of starting a school with friends and devotees. We have already had conversations about it with several people. It also follows our idea of distributing prasadam in the village and eventually having an NGO for this purpose. Invite local artists to do cultural programs and reconnect with the municipality to do joint programs.

Our base is almost ready and we wait for your mercy, Srila Prabhupadas and Lord Caitanyas, to fulfill our projects or show us what we have to do to expand the Sankirtan movement. We also hope that they will allow us to do some temple service. We thought going to cleaning once a week would be nice.

We are open to Krishna's mercy to do a little or a lot, as He shows us.

Thank you very much, dear gurudeva, for your infinite mercy and the care and love that you shows us at all times without deserving it.

Your servants

Knowledge of the self

3 years, 11 months ago by mittalga in Other

My dear Maharaja,

Namaste! Jai Vaishnava!

HpS - All respects to our Vaisnava Guru, Srila A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami, Prabhupada. By his divine grace may we be fit association for your good self!

Today, disciple of Gopal Krishna Swami called me. He used to attend programs in Austin. Then he went back to India and is having tough time.

Few years ago, he asked me that all sins are destroyed after diksha. So why his life became bad after diksha and why Krishna did not protect him after diksha.

HpS - Maybe:

  • Was he really initiated or was the process incorrect.
  • Did he continue taking shelter of Krsna after initiation or did start to include offenses in his service?
  • After surrendering to Krsna and hearing BG, Arjuna had to kill his teacher, his grandfather, his nephews and see his own son die. Krsna never says He will protect our disease, this body, rather our service!

My response at that time was that you took diksha without knowing that you are Atma. That is why you are asking this question. If you know that you are Atma or trying to know this truth, then you won’t ask this question. Atma is always protected. It is protected from death as it is eternal. It is protected from suffering as suffering does not exist after moment has passed. So Atma does not suffer. Whatever problem you can think of, Atma is totally protected from that problem. I asked him to give me an example when Atma is not protected. Most probably, he did not get my answer.

Today he asked about Krishna. How Krishna can be all merciful when he gives suffering to all beings? He had lot of arguments. I agreed with his statements instead of proving them wrong. When we give reality to suffering, Krishna cannot be all-just, all-merciful and all-powerful at the same time. Problem with his statements is that he is looking at the world as I am this body and this mind.

Now I have better understanding of my true being than 3-4 years ago. So explained to him how suffering is unreal at the level of Atma. What comes and goes has no substantial reality. What exists all the time is real. He should focus on unchanging reality instead of changing objects, thoughts, emotions etc like happiness and distress.

Truth is that Atma does not suffer. As there is no suffering at the level of Atma and that is the true level, Krishna does not give suffering to any living being. Again his question is based on ignorance of giving reality to self as body and mind. When ignorance is destroyed, this question disappears.

He understood some stuff but I am useless person in teaching these topics.

I pray to Krishna that the teachers in Iskcon start teaching knowledge of the self to their students and members so that people like C. Prabhu can truly understand Gita. Gita starts with knowledge of the self and it is hard to make substantial progress without this knowledge. Until then, you will have confused people like C. Prabhu.

HpS - I think ISKCON people are trying to teach BG chapter two and also, that we can only be satisified when we engage as liberated souls in the service of [i] KRSNA [i] !!!!!

Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna!!!

If we follow the principles of the SB we can become qualified as preachers on the level of Narada Muni!

Regards,

Gaurav Mittal

HpS - Best wishes for your Sankirtan.
