Hare Krishna Maharaja,

I have enjoyed your lectures on Jung and the ways in which Jungian philosophy dovetails with Krishna Consciousness. My question is about Lord Jagannath and how Jung might see him in terms of Archetypes, integration of the shadow, or any of his other core concepts. I am a counselor working with non devotee families and I am always looking for ways to communicate Vaishnavism with the psyche. I would be grateful for any opportunities for service to you.

HpS - I don't know. Lord Jagannatha is a very specific Lila-avatar. There is Ranchor in another place in India. He is part of the lila of Lord running away from the battle field.

If Jung new more details he might see Lord from his perspective.

In the month of keshava I did my katyayani vrata worship. Very simple: incense, aromatic leaves and flowers. It was exciting.

I missed my adoration for two days 😐 ..we went to the house of the devotee who has the deities so that he will lend them to us for the ratha yatra. we rest there. It was a long trip.

Last year I disarmed the goddess 😕 but this year gopal said he will leave her like this. So I didn't disarm her, I just said goodbye to her 😃

I danced three dances at an event invited by adi Sakhi Devi dasi. Books and prasadam were distributed. In two weeks we will dance there again.

In this event the culture of several countries was shown.

The boys and girls were very excited! And they sat very attentive to the dance... the girls imitated the steps... which melted my heart😂

Something happened that left me stunned...and very sad but I already recovered: The devotee who was going to lend us the deities agreed to lend them to us but now he changed his mind and said that he will not lend them because they are his children..

I thought I know we are not qualified and that is why Sri Jagannatha does not want to come 😩..

Franco was very hurt... he didn't sleep all night after the news. . I got up to mangalartik and he was still awake... but that same day of the news I began to hear some hammers with axes. . It was Franco starting to carve Jagannatha in a thick piece that he had reserved a long time ago... and he told me: the ratha yatra is not going to stop!! I'm going to carve them again!!!!😀😁😁😂😂

My student Laura had very happily agreed to transport the deities from the devotee's house to our home... I talked to several devotees, none of them even answered if they could transport the Lord or not... only one very enthusiastic devotee who supported singing at the last festival wanted to do the service but his car broke down.

My obeisances to all Vaisnavas. They are all arrangements of Lord Jagannatha! It was because they did not want to come . Franco had to re-carve them and we have to go further to receive the mercy of the Lord and His devotees.

To finish this letter, I transcribe Franco's words to you!:

My obeisances to Your Gurudev lotus feet.

I am carving new deities. Unbelievably I did one a day.

They need to be retouched. I have a lot of pain in my arms but I'm happy.

I am taking inspiration from Manipur deities to carve..

Will it be impossible for you to come to rathayatra next year? This would inspire me to do more than one ratha yatra per year.

If you come, he built a place for you, so you can stay.

The devotee was going to lend us the deities that I carved and gave them to him, now he does not want to lend them to us because he is angry with the devotees. Strong things happened to him.

There are many types of feet moving in this world

Many run from here to there Seeking to please His desires

And from so much running and running

They get tired and confused more

But...

There is another type of Pies... They are beautiful and wise feet They dance to the sound of the Mrdanga

To the beat of the singing of the Maha Mantra🎶



These feet know their way very well

They are always dancing

and helping To what other confused souls

They can dance too!

I was in the First Group of Feet and i was so sad

For not finding a meaning in life

Fortunately

I met the other Dancing Feet

of true happiness!

They told me the cause of their joy Srila Prabhupada they knew! And for serving His Divine feet they went crazy

So I stayed To savor the sweetness of His steps

Because an Acarya comes to this world from time to time

and I wanted to meet him

In His books He left His footsteps printed The reason for His Ecstatic dances

He came to give us His love

Now we can dance to His song The Maha Mantra: The Great Vibration!

The one that cleanses your heart And it makes you dance "for no reason"



I no longer separate from the dancing feet

I will be with them no matter what.

I'll carry on singing and dancing constants

To please the Best of Lovers .

Dear Gurudev, I know I am a mess, I was not at your vyasapuja. I meditated on you. I hope you forgive my fault and limitation.

I am writing to you after recovering from sunstroke or covid, I don't know..

I tell him that in November we went to the house of Yajña Valkya Gopal Das prabhu, the devotee and friend with whom we worked in the Ratha Yatra in Córdoba. It was exciting and happy for me. We hadn't seen each other for many years.

He built a house next to the cemetery of the village where he went to live, and I thought that Lord Jagannatha is very mysterious, where he went to live.

We are seeing some devotee to go look for them. And we are looking at a way to bring the float home, go look for it and put it together because it is unarmed.

I'm trying to finish my workshop where I want the deities to be as comfortable as possible.

Yajña Valkya Gopal Das also gave me some Deities of Jagannatha, Baladeva and Subhadra. I see little with the devotees but when one takes Darshan, everything becomes nectar.

We remember the times when we were penniless but really wanted to take Jagannatha out for a walk and the lord arranged for it to be so. I honestly don't think much about preaching, I just want to take Jagannatha, Baladeva and Subhadra out for a walk, it makes me happy.

If I think about the material reality it is very very frustrating. The Ratha Yatra is underway, the times are set by Krishna, We are working our best to glorify Lord Caitanya, Srila Prabhupada, Bhakthitirta Swami Maharaja, and You dear Gurudev. Aristotle said that the remedy for 50 enemies is a friend, Thank you for being my friend and wanting to get me out of this garbage can, called material existence.

I am eternally grateful for Your Limitless Mercy, I hope You can excuse me for my etiquette limitations.

I remember a class of Bhakthitirta Swami Maharaja where he said that Krishna was the creator of the rules of the world but His infinite mercy is above them, and with You I do it.

Querido Gurudev, sé que soy un desastre, no estuve en su vyasapuja. Medité en Usted. Espero perdone mi falta y limitación.

Le estoy escribiendo después de recuperarme de una insolación o covid, no lo sé ...

Le cuento que en noviembre fuimos a la casa de Yajña Valkya Gopal Das prabhu, el devoto y amigo con el que trabajamos en el Ratha Yatra de Córdoba. Fue emocionante y feliz para mí. Hacía muchos años que no nos veíamos. Se construyó una casa al lado del cementerio del pueblo donde se fue a vivir , y pensé que el señor Jagannatha es muy misterioso, por donde se fue a vivir. 

Estamos viendo algún devoto para ir a buscarlos. Y estamos viendo la manera de traer la carroza a casa, irlo a buscar y armarlo porque está desarmado.

Estoy tratando de terminar mi taller de trabajo donde quiero que estén las deidades lo más cómodas posible.

También Yajña Valkya Gopal Das me regaló unas Deidades de Jaganatha, Baladeva y Subhadra.

Me veo poco con los devotos pero cuando uno toma Darshan, todo se vuelve néctar. Recordamos los tiempos cuando no teníamos un centavo pero muchas ganas de sacar a pasear a Jagannatha y el señor hizo los arreglos para que asi fuera.

Sinceramente no pienso mucho en predica, sólo quiero sacar a pasear a Jagannatha, Baladeva y Subhadra, me hace feliz.

Si pienso en la realidad material es muy muy frustrante. El Ratha Yatra está en marcha, los tiempos los pone Krishna, 

Nosotros estamos trabajando lo mejor que podemos para glorificar al Señor Caitanya, a Srila Prabhupada, Bhakthitirta Swami Maharaja, y a Usted querido Gurudev. 

Aristóteles decía que el remedio a 50 enemigos es un amigo, Gracias por Ser Mi amigo y querer sacarme de este tacho de basura, llamada existencia material.

Estoy eternamente agradecido por Su Ilimitada misericordia, espero sepa excusarme en mis limitaciones de etiqueta. Recuerdo una clase de Bhakthitirta Swami Maharaja donde decía que Krishna era el creador de las reglas del mundo pero sobre ellas está Su infinita misericordia, y con Usted lo realizo.
