Gurudeva, last week I invited Bhakti Sundara Goswami Maharaja to present, on Friday, September 3, at the Srimad Bhagavatam Workshop, from ASA, a summary of Chapter 18 of the First Canto.

Maharaja accepted, but since he is in Arizona, 7:30 a.m. in Tennessee, for him it is 5:30 a.m.

So, he would be in the middle of the morning program, so he suggested 2 possibilities: 1) that the class, that day, be at 9 a.m. (for him it would be 7 a.m.) or 2) he can teach the class the following Friday (September 10) as he returns to Mexico on the 6, and the time of Mexico and Tennessee coincide, in that case they do not there is a schedule problem.

If we do the 2nd option we would advance the English class for this Friday the 3rd, in that case Maharaja would present chapter 19 of the 1st Canto that day,

another, 3rd, option that Maharaja has just communicated to me is that on Friday the 3rd, of the class another devotee in Spanish and that he could teach the class when he be in Spanish (every 3 classes in Spanish, later, 1 is in English) please instruct me what would be the arrangement to communicate with Maharaja, Thank you very much.

I write as part of the ASA Carnaval team, We greatly appreciate your instruction and guidance. We are following up on the project that we present to you about the "Interviews about your Sankirtan"

- BACKGROUND For blog readers-

On July 30, 2021, the ASA Carnaval team had a virtual meeting with SS Hanumatpresaka Swami. At that meeting, the project was presented in detail on a series of interviews with devotees who have been part of the history of the preaching of the ASA in Peru. These interviews will document part of the history of the Peruvian Yatra and will serve as support for the film “DTC - The Ultimate Trip”.

-Agreements of the meeting:

* Conduct interviews one by one with those who are part of this story.

* Some interviewees may participate as a group.

* Dates and times - Adapt to the time that the interviewee suggests, according to their region and availability.

* The meetings will have a Devotee who will guide the interviewee according to previously elaborated questions, to obtain the desired objectives.

* H. H. Hanumatpresaka Swami, will participate in the interviews and exchange comments with the interviewee.

* Maharaja suggested End of August - Beginning of September for the first meetings.

-SPECIFIC PROPOSAL -

Taking into account the agreements we reached in the aforementioned meeting, we allow ourselves to present you the first interview proposal.

Approximate duration of the event- 1 Hour.

Language -Which do you consider more appropriate: bilingual or only Spanish?

note: If it is in Spanish, there would be written and oral translation into English

Artistic Number - Maximum duration 5 minutes

We propose this date considering your trip to Houston and then to Peru.

Please let us know what is your opinion regarding this proposal?

HpS - The ninth is fine but it would be better like 4PM. 7PM is very late for these practical activities. English and Spanish we can use just as is practical for the people involved. You, ASA Carnival, should send us and the Daru, some topics for discussion and then we can edit and even share our screens.

Gurumaharaja for this side of the world Janmastami is on Monday, we usually see the list of FEP Kirtana leaders so we wonder if this Monday will sing Parama Karuna Prabhu?

ASA/TB-BW - We do not know. It is O.K. with us if he leads a Gaura Arati.

Maybe we could please have a chance to participate in a short bilingual Krsna Katha at 7:00pm Nashville time at ASA?

I begin this report by thanking you for your enormous effort to keep you informed of your sankirtan and classes on a daily basis, although it is true there are times that I cannot connect, hours later I can listen to your classes that are already recorded, and also for the monthly Kapi Dhavaja.

HpS - Thank you very much. Sometimes we wonder if our efforts are of much value. 🙄

I think from the first moment you have been the inspiration and clearest example.

HpS - We just finished talking with Virabahu Das. He has been very big inspiration for us.

It has been a while since my last report and I apologize for this.

ASA - 👹

I hope soon you can go to the ophthalmologist with the company of a devotee to check your eyesight, we need your healthy vision.

HpS - Tomorrow, Janmastami, we will go to see a dermatologist. We will be investigating 'skin disease' on Janmastami. 😁

My family is in very good health, the Lord always protects them. My mother is also an example of devotion and perseverance, she sings the rosary whenever she can, she tells me that every time she prays the Lord and the Virgin always listen to her, she is very devoted to the Virgin and dedicated.

ASA - Krsna consciousness means good food and good music. Engage them also in distributing and chanting.

I tell you that a few days ago the Temple President, Prabhu Jaganatha Caran, told me about a possible second emergency initiation which has caused me a bit of confusion on whether to advance in this process or not, since I think that the main thing is to inform you and I would like to study and dedicate the time as it should, to prepare myself in the best way and to be with the necessary qualifications for the due attention of your honorable Members and not to commit offense at such a great step, I imagine that times are changing and everything perhaps it becomes more flexible.

I have been studying the Vedic texts as much as possible to give a good test, but I made the decision that I want to prepare myself much more and if you approve it, in the not so distant future, you will give me that enormous mercy.

HpS - I don't think it is such an emergency in some ways. I think you are quite qualified. Srimat Virabahu Das mentions that they have interviewed the candidates in terms of chanting their 16-enthusiastic rounds and following the 4-principles strictly.

He also mentioned that you and Sriman Lalita-madhava Das have not been formally married and are not living together.

I thought you were married and were living together.

It is good that we have several devotees to guide us in spiritual life. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

Like him, and probably a lot of others, and even yourselves, it seems you should make the superhuman effort of dealing with the national bureaucracy and formalize your relationship.

Considering all the things we know, it seems that it would be nice for you to take second initiation with the fire sacrifice on Wednesday.

For Pujaris we do not demand the Bh. Sastri course, but of course it is nice.

I think you already took the Disciple Course, no?

If not, then our GBC Secretary, Virabahu Das, assures me that this is what would make it an 'emergency initiation' but it is alright if you commit yourself to take the course as soon as possible. I hear that it is nice, a little formal, but satisfying.

Such a long day!

We forgot to set our alarm so we woke up one moment before Jambavan Das at 4AM and then just had time to wash our face, hands, mouth and feet before Mangala arati.... full bath and take JD to the bus stop.

Good bye. His association was so inspiring. He has been in 58-different countries. We talked a lot about general and specific aspects of devotional service, his service.

It is hot here.

We just keep one little room inhabital during the day. We are trying to be a part of the big currents of Sankirtan that Srila Prabhupada's movement is moving around us.

HpS-ASA -- AGTSP!!! paoho. We are just like you, no? Out vehicle, tool, robot is getting old and all the functions are decaying. This happens again, and again, and again...

I write you this letter in order to inform you about our Asram. M. Gauri has a good health on [in] general, with some little age-related ailments. She's staying with us. We're living in Chaclacayo, near to Chosica, since a month ago.

ASA - Chocolate Cow! We know it. Prof. Anadi and Dharma used to live there. Bhadra rupa Das.

We moved to this place due to some building problems. We hope to stay for a couple of months more until we sell our old apartment. Rukmini and Devahuti have been on virtual classes during all the pandemic and they will probably continue until next year. We have an altar at home.

We always try to keep our sadhana in association with you and the devotees through FMP.

HpS/ASA - 😟 We are so sad that it is not nicer!! Your attendance is very awe inspiring.

Once a week, I go to Chosica Temple and I do some service in pujari's kitchen. By your infinite mercy, we are in this service for more than 6 months. We're always trying to keep in touch with your virtual classes and sharing experiencies and questions with some godsisters and godbrothers.

Since the beginning of this year we have a little dog, her name is Catalina Shakti, but we call her Caty. We're very happy with her because she's naturally a vegan dog. Her vet said she's very healthy and has a good weight. She loves listening the Maha Mantra when we connect to FMP.

Dear Gurudeva, we hope to keep in touch with you and informing you about our activities. Please, we beg you for your blessings to stay always in service of Radha Krishna, Gaura Nitay and Guru Krishna, also to have a better understanding of this espiritual science and experience trascendental realizations. Thanks a lot for all your effort and your infinite mercy to all of us.

HpS - We heard that Nimai had a puppy, and for sure Krsna has two dogs. One is

BIG

and very ferocious to guard the calves and cows from wolves, and the other is a house dog. We hope Rukmini Devi Das is growing up a very valiant lady like Draupadi, Visnu priya, Kunti et al. The Dalai Lama says that we should live a good life, so that when we are old we can remember it and enjoy it for a second time!

Also, so others will say: Ah, look at Rukmini Devi Dasi, she is an example for all of us. She takes whatever Life sends her and makes it beautiful.
