After so long without writing or connecting to your classes due to my lack of internet, I'm here again… Material life is very hard for a woman these days... The supposed liberation of women has brought with it other problems Fortunately I have had the advantage over many others, to meet you and Prabhupada and that has given me a strength and inner happiness that many do not understand... Thank you for it.
HpS - ASA - Jaya! We look at this: Men, women, children, black, white... who is suffering more and how, and our honest conclusion is that anybody in the material world is suffering and the real concern is to get out of the material world with maybe a little back handed work to adjust our gender, race, wealth situation.
Maybe a will be a rich beautiful black women in my next life!
I had written you a letter before this one, but it was very long, so I erased it and decided to write you another… Actually I always write you letters in my mind telling you so many things that happen to me and that has helped me reflect through all those times that I had the fortune to speak with you personally... I believe that your words have been buried like precious stones in my heart and have illuminated my path when darkness has flooded me...

In general, what I wanted to tell you is about 1) why I did not accept the recommendation for my initiation the previous time, 2) about my painful decision to leave my services in the Mexico City temple, 3) a little about my life family, 4) a rough encounter with the ritvik movement, 5) news of the forthcoming arrival of a jiva in our care 6) my soul cries out for guidance from a spiritual master.
If I broke down all the points I would make a giant letter again, please, I ask you that if you want to know more details about any topic, I am here to fulfill it... For now I will only cover 1, 5 and 6 in broad strokes, please excuse me.
I respect you a lot… I know that it is your request that we be clear about our asram at the time of initiation… At the very moment that they were making the recommendations, my husband and I had separated (physically, not formally) and I didn't know what would happen or what was happening… Some older devotees told me to leave him (my husband)… But how could I do such a thing if you had given us the instruction to get married? Your words resonate in my mind: "Marriage as well as initiation is a formality... but not without meaning". To hurry up and surrender to separation to take initiation? In the temple several devotees were being recommended and initiated even though they had little time in the movement and I was going to stay behind them?... From the first moment I read Prabhupada I knew that I had to find a spiritual teacher, and that it would be specialI couldn't initiate myself into these situations and make fun of what my heart knew was wrong...
My heart has remained faithful thanks to Krishna despite various adverse situations… My ashram is stable thanks to your teachings and recommendations on following (not imitating) the example of great devotees like Kunti, Devaki, Draupadi, Gandari etc, and reading their pastimes , my problems, my efforts and my tolerance seem insignificant… Now my husband and I are waiting for a new jiva under our care and I ask you to please give us your blessings so that he may be a devotee of Krishna and help us in our spiritual life.

Después de tanto tiempo sin escribir o conectarme a tus clases por mi falta de internet, estoy aquí de nuevo…La vida material es muy dura para una mujer en estos tiempos… La supuesta liberación de la mujer ha acarreado con ello otros problemas… Afortunadamente he tenido la ventaja sobre muchas otras, de conocerte a ti y a Prabhupada y eso me ha dado una fuerza y felicidad interna que muchos no entienden… Gracias por ello.
Te había escrito una carta antes que ésta, pero era muy larga, entonces la borré y decidí hacerte otra… En realidad siempre te escribo cartas en mi mente contándote tantas cosas que me pasan y que me has ayudado a reflexionar a través de todas esas veces que tuve la fortuna de conversar contigo personalmente… Creo que tus palabras se han enterrado como piedras preciosas en mi corazón y han iluminado mi camino cuando me han inundado las tinieblas...
A grandes rasgos, lo que quería decirte es sobre 1) por qué no acepté la recomendación para mi iniciación la ocasión anterior, 2) sobre mi dolorosa decisión de dejar mis servicios en el templo de ciudad de México, 3) un poco de mi vida familiar, 4) un duro encuentro con el movimiento ritvik, 5) la noticia de la próxima llegada de un jiva bajo nuestro cuidado 6) mi alma me exige a gritos tener la guía de un maestro espiritual.
Si desglosara todos los puntos haría nuevamente una carta gigante, por favor te pido que si deseas saber más detalles sobre algún tema, estoy para cumplirlo… Por ahora sólo trataré a grandes rasgos el 1, 5 y 6 por favor discúlpame.
Yo te respeto mucho… Sé que es una petición tuya que tengamos claro nuestro asram al momento de iniciarnos… En el momento justamente que estaban haciendo las recomendaciones, mi esposo y yo nos habíamos separado (físicamente no formalmente) y no sabía que era lo que pasaría… Algunos devotos mayores me dijeron que lo dejara (a mi esposo)… Pero cómo podía hacer tal cosa si tú nos habías dado la instrucción de casarnos? Tus palabras resuenan en mi mente: “El matrimonio así como la iniciación son una formalidad… pero no sin significado”… Apresurarme y rendirme a la separación para tomar así iniciación? En el templo estaban siendo recomendados e iniciados varios devotos aunque tuvieran poco tiempo en el movimiento y yo iba a quedarme atrás de ellos?... Desde el primer momento que leí a Prabhupada supe que debía encontrar un maestro espiritual, y que sería especial… No podía iniciarme bajo estas situaciones y burlarme a escondidas de lo que mi corazón sabía que estaba mal…
Mi corazón ha permanecido fiel gracias a Krishna a pesar de varias situaciones adversas… Mi asram es estable gracias a tus enseñanzas y recomendaciones sobre seguir (no imitar) el ejemplo de grandes devotas como Kunti, Devaki, Draupadi, Gandari etc, y leyendo sus pasatiempos, mis problemas, mis esfuerzos y mi tolerancia parecen insignificantes… Ahora mi esposo y yo estamos en espera de una nueva jiva bajo nuestro cuidado y te pido por favor que nos des tus bendiciones para que sea un(a) devoto(a) de Krishna y nos ayude en nuestra vida espiritual.
